Chapter 1091: Chapter 1091: Trickery

"You?"

When Windy Johnson heard these words, he felt somewhat surprised.

Among the four, Horton Moore had the least status.

The other three were either important ministers of The North Sea, second-in-command of the Shadow Warrior organization, or Supreme Elders of a sect.

Only Horton Moore.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

"Exactly!"

Horton Moore put a cigar to his mouth, took a light puff, and said with squinting eyes, "I found the Elders Victor, made contact with Marshal, and took a trip to Medicine King Valley."

He threw the half-smoked cigar on the ground, gently stamped it out, and coughed a few times, "The three of you stand together because you have a common enemy. I’m thinking, since we all share the same enemy, why not sit down and talk?"

After Jensen Cook’s failure, Horton Moore immediately took a plane and left Gonzalez City.

First, he went to Medicine King Valley and negotiated with Bamboo Whitaker; then he took his private car and used the clues left by the Leocadia Family when they contacted Hades to get in touch with Deep Cold.

Abernathy’s wealthiest man, like a lobbyist, brought the three forces together.

"Unimaginable."

Windy Johnson said calmly, "You’re quite capable."

"Let’s dispense with the pleasantries."

Black Wolf turned around, looking at Horton Moore, "Mr. Jack Moore, please share your brilliant idea."

"Gentlemen, please take a seat!"

Horton Moore gestured towards the chairs in front of him and took out a piece of paper from his pocket.

"Based on the current situation, Julius Reed and Mad Dragon are both experts; if we clash head-on, a bloody battle is inevitable."

Looking at the three in front of him, he asked, "Am I right?"

"Hades fell in battle, and Deep Cold lost countless elites at the hands of Julius Reed!" Black Wolf sat with his legs crossed, frowning slightly, "To speak the truth, I might not even be his match."

"Back in the capital, my junior fellow, Orville Ellsworth, perished at the hands of Julius Reed! And I too was severely injured. Unless we have no other choice, I don’t recommend a head-on confrontation."

Atticus Ellsworth’s tone was tinged with sorrow.

The two had personally gone to the capital, intending to take down Julius Reed at the Leocadia Family.

Yet in the end, Orville Ellsworth remained in the capital forever.

And Atticus Ellsworth was left severely injured.

They even encountered an ambush by Hades on the road, narrowly escaping death.

"Wolf General’s target is Mad Dragon, the leader of Seven Clouds Academy." Horton Moore held a ballpoint pen, lightly sketching on the paper, "I’ve heard that when Mad Dragon killed Jerry Anderson, the president of the Martial Arts Association, he vowed to seek revenge for his woman."

"I’ve heard something about that."

Windy Johnson nodded his head.

Jerry Anderson’s death shocked the martial arts community!

And whispers about the details of that incident kept spreading.

Rumors had it that Jerry Anderson was killed at the Martial Arts Association headquarters after he injured Mad Dragon’s fiancée.

"As I understand, that woman called Nelson is real."

Horton Moore used the ballpoint pen to write the name "Nelson" on the paper, then drew lines connecting it.

"Catch Nelson and send a message to Mad Dragon! Just say Julius Reed did it!"

Slap!

He threw the pen onto the paper, excitedly saying, "Then we’ll just sit back and watch the tigers fight!"

"Brilliant!"

Atticus Ellsworth nodded, pointing at Horton Moore, "Not bad, you have some skills. When this is done, I’ll instruct Bamboo Whitaker to send you a few elixirs."

"That said, do you know the whereabouts of Nelson? Or rather, are you sure Mad Dragon will believe it?"

Windy Johnson, coming from the Scholar’s Way, had his own way of thinking through issues.

"These two are incredibly shrewd."

Silence.

The four men said nothing, all cautiously pondering.

Tug at one thing and the whole world moves.

"You gentlemen need not worry about this matter. I’ll take care of the information on Nelson. The three of you just need to successfully take control of Nelson, and I’ll be responsible for passing the news to Seven Clouds Academy."

Horton Moore stood up and glanced at his watch, "Gentlemen, time is getting late. By tomorrow noon, I will give you the whereabouts of Nelson; I hope we can work together to catch her!"

"No problem!"

Windy Johnson nodded, his expression showing some concern, "Are you safe in Gonzalez City?"

"Perfectly safe, please rest assured."

Horton Moore straightened his clothes and prepared to leave.

"Kid!"

Black Wolf called out to him from behind.

"General."

Horton Moore turned around, nodding with a smile.

"I really admire you!"

Black Wolf took out a box of cigars from his pocket and tossed them over, "These are top-notch goods, not just something money can buy. Take them, enjoy them at your leisure."

"Thank you, General!"

Horton Moore grabbed the cigar, smiled, and nodded before quickly disappearing into the civilian house.

"I’ll sleep here tonight. As for the two of you, please do as you like."

Black Wolf picked up a jug of wine and sprawled out on the bed unsteadily.

This was an ordinary civilian dwelling, but it had long been uninhabited.

Very safe.

"I’ll take my leave!"

Windy Johnson clasped his hands together and turned to leave.

And right behind him, Atticus Ellsworth similarly vanished inside the civilian house.

...

After Horton Moore left the civilian house, he took a black sedan to a hotel in the northern part of Gonzalez City.

He was wearing sunglasses and a fake beard.

He looked just like an old man.

After entering the hotel, Horton took the elevator up to the third floor.

He walked to room 309 and knocked lightly on the door.

"Who is it?"

There was a woman’s voice from inside.

"It’s me!"

Horton replied in a low voice.

The door opened.

"Darnell."

A flicker of surprise crossed the woman’s face.

"Didn’t I tell you not to come to Gonzalez City!"

Horton walked into the room, gently closing the door behind him.

"But I miss you..."

Teddy Lena said, her cheeks flushed.

"I miss you too."

After speaking, they embraced each other tightly.

Half an hour later.

"Darnell, do you like me?"

She turned her head and smiled gently.

"When I finish this big task at hand, I’ll marry you."

Horton likewise turned his head and gently stroked Teddy Lena’s face with his hand.

This woman had boundless charm.

He just couldn’t get enough.

"That’s great!"

Teddy Lena took a deep breath and covered herself with the comforter, "You should leave now, before someone discovers you."

"I’ll stay the night tonight,"

Horton said with a smile.

...

Night.

It’s always intoxicating.

Julius Reed stood in front of the window in the mansion, watching the traffic and the neon lights of the city.

For the first time, he felt a bit tired.

Ding!

The phone rang.

He took out his mobile phone, saw the contact listed, and couldn’t help but smile wryly.

"I’ll bring Bamboo Whitaker back tomorrow, and you must pick us up at the airport personally! Bamboo said that if you don’t show up, she’ll jump out of the plane."

Nelson’s voice came through.

"No, it wasn’t me who said that... Okay, Boss Davenport, if you don’t come to pick us up, I really will jump out of the plane..."

On the phone, Bamboo Whitaker cried out with a whining tone.

"See, you made Bamboo cry."

Nelson sounded somewhat triumphant.

"What time tomorrow?"

Julius asked with a soft smile.

"Ten o’clock in the morning!"

"Alright, I’ll be there to pick you up."
