Chapter 1129: Chapter 129: The Moved Quella Radcliffe

Julius Reed lived for over ten thousand years!

He had been struck by lightning countless times!

He was once so bored that he carried a lightning rod and stood on the rooftop in the rain!

Enjoying the thrill of electric shock.

But the two most memorable experiences, far more intense than electric shocks.

One was the moment he recovered his memory, feeling like he had been struck by Heavenly Thunder.

The other, was now.

The world seemed to collapse!

Julius Reed’s head spun, and he nearly fell to the ground.

"What... When did you find out..."

He pressed his hands against his temples, straining to stay conscious.

"Last week, before coming back from the capital."

Nelson bit her lip, looking somewhat aggrieved, "But don’t worry, I won’t disrupt your life, nor will I make you take responsibility. It was my own doing, and I will bear the consequences."

She said this with a faint smile, "But it’s actually good this way, at least in the future, I’ll have the baby to keep me company."

"No need!"

Julius Reed looked up, gasping for air.

"It was me who did this. I, Julius Reed, am at least a man, and I’ll stand up for my actions." He covered his face with his hands, a hint of pain in his voice, "In a bit, I’ll be honest with Quella Radcliffe. Whatever the consequences, I’ll take them all on. The child is innocent, after all."

His thoughts were a mess.

Messy to the extreme.

But a man, must carry it all.

"Pfft..."

Just then, Nelson pressed her lips together, smiling, "I was just kidding."

Watching Julius Reed’s flustered and serious expression, she laughed out loud, "At least you have a conscience."

"You tricked me?"

Julius Reed grabbed Nelson’s wrist.

Indeed, she was lying.

"Haha, isn’t it fun!"

Nelson laughed like a child, bending over in amusement.

"Hey, by the way," Julius Reed scratched his head, suddenly asked, "How’s your recovery going?"

"I’ve fully recovered, just like before."

Nelson twirled around, feeling particularly happy.

At least she knew she still had a place in Julius Reed’s heart.

"That’s good!"

Julius Reed nodded, and then pointing behind Nelson, said with some surprise, "How come your master has arrived?"

"Master?"

Just as Nelson turned around, she felt a vast force coming from behind her!

Immediately thereafter, her whole body smashed through the window and flew out.

"Tricking me! Scoundrel!"

Julius Reed brushed off his pants and picked up the slippers that had been kicked off.

He put them on his feet.

Nelson was a Grandmaster, and as long as her body had recovered, that kick was like a tickle.

"Let’s give this a taste!"

After a brief hesitation, he picked up his chopsticks and ate two bites of stir-fried kidneys.

The flavor was exquisite.

Almost as good as when he made it himself.

"What’s that sound?"

The sound of the breaking window was quite loud.

Bamboo Whitaker and Quella Radcliffe were both startled awake.

Both dressed in pajamas, they stumbled into the kitchen and asked, "What was that noise?"

"Oh! Nelson went out to buy groceries, found going downstairs too troublesome, so she just went out the window," Julius Reed put down his chopsticks, explaining nonchalantly.

"Julius, you... got up early to help us cook?"

Quella Radcliffe hurried over, sniffing lightly, "It smells so good!"

"Yes!"

Bamboo Whitaker followed close behind, taking a light whiff.

A look of bliss on her face.

It seemed to improve her mood.

At least there was no trace of yesterday’s sorrow on her face.

"Yeah, I thought you could sleep in a bit longer, so I got up early to cook. But that rascal Nelson went through the window instead of the door and woke you up anyway."

Julius Reed scratched his head, slightly apologetic, "Sorry about that..."

"Honey!"

Quella Radcliffe embraced him, giving Julius Reed a light kiss on the face.

"Thank you, thank you for the breakfast."

Her face was filled with gratitude.

"Cough cough! The kid’s still right here!"

Bamboo Whitaker turned away, killing the mood, "Aren’t you ashamed!"

"Pah!"

Quella Radcliffe’s face turned red, and she turned and ran back to her room.

"You’re in trouble now."

Julius Reed, immersed in happiness and joy, suddenly erupted in murderous intent and seized Bamboo Whitaker, "Tell me, how do you wish to die?"

"Daddy, I was wrong!"

Bamboo Whitaker struggled desperately, "I’ve already called you daddy, can you let me go?"

But just then, Quella Radcliffe, her hair disheveled and fuming, pushed open the door.

Upon seeing the scene before her, she pointed at Julius Reed, "Scumbag, you won’t even spare the children!"

"Pah!"

Julius Reed released his grip, and Bamboo Whitaker landed on the floor.

Wincing in pain, grimacing.

"I’ve always treated her like my daughter, keep your filthy thoughts to yourself!"

"You!"

Quella Radcliffe, her mood from earlier completely ruined, was now infuriated!

"Humph!"

She simply turned around and went back to her own room.

So much for being touched!

Thud!

Quella Radcliffe had just entered her room when someone knocked on the door behind her.

"Humph, thinking of apologizing now, what took you so long."

After three knocks, she stood up, opened the door.

"Are you here to apologize?"

As she spoke, Quella Radcliffe’s face was stern.

"No, I just want to ask about Lily Jorden and Night Fairy..."

Bang!

The door was shut again.

Julius Reed’s nose felt a sharp pain.

"Women of Azure Mountain, truly not to be taken lightly!"

Having no other choice, he went to Lily Jorden and Night Fairy’s room himself.

The room was pitch black.

The curtains drawn.

On the bed, two women lay.

Whoosh!

Julius Reed yanked open the curtains and with his hands clasped behind his back, walked up to the pair.

They looked alright.

Lily Jorden rubbed her eyes and seeing Julius Reed, exclaimed with some surprise, "Brother Davenport?"

"Yes."

Julius Reed nodded and gently pinched her wrist with his right hand.

Her pulse was stable, no major issues.

"How did you end up in bed with this person?"

This was his biggest mystery.

One was Ian Jorden’s orphaned child, Lily Jorden.

The other was the Night Fairy.

Aside from their connection through the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance.

There seemed to be no other interlink.

But somehow, these two had gotten entangled with each other.

"I’m starting to understand a bit now."

Lily Jorden sat up from the bed, frowning, "That day I came to see you, I might have encountered not Quella Radcliffe, but this person beside me."

She wasn’t foolish; in fact, she was quite smart.

Merely brainwashed by Nine Spirits for many years.

Leading to somewhat of a loss in independent thinking.

Completely following her mentor’s instructions.

"There’s more to this?"

Julius Reed looked at the severely injured and unconscious Night Fairy and said, "Tell me what you talked about that day."

After Lily Jorden recounted everything, Julius Reed fell into deep thought.

"But why, did she let you go?"

This was what Julius Reed found most puzzling.

After hearing Lily Jorden’s story, it seemed quite possible that the former Night Fairy wasn’t dead.

The current Night Fairy was likely trying to protect her teacher’s secret.

But, who was the one who almost killed the Night Fairy?

And in the end, why did the Night Fairy let Lily Jorden go?

"I... I’m not sure."

Lily Jorden shook her head.

"Kyler Reed!"

Julius Reed suddenly remembered the name Sergei Harris from Anna Harris’s mouth!

It seemed to be Kyler Reed!

"The North Sea!"

An idea suddenly occurred to him.

"Kyler Reed isn’t dead, and he keeps appearing with the fake Anna Harris. This shows that he still holds power in The North Sea!"

Julius Reed stood up, looked at Lily Jorden and Night Fairy, took a deep breath and said, "Before I get back, don’t let her leave! Even if you have to break her legs, she cannot be allowed to leave!"

Having said that, he left the room.
