Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133: Here Comes the Younger Brother

---

This sudden turn of events immediately threw the guests into panic.

The man, dressed as a waiter, was clearly prepared for this!

Nobody would have imagined that someone would dare to carry out an assassination at Starlight Mansion.

Even Callum Cook was so shocked that he froze, forgetting to dodge.

Quamane Cook was even hiding behind Callum Cook and suddenly collapsed to the ground.

"Scoundrel! Die along with the Whitaker family!"

With an angry roar, the man rushed three steps towards Callum Cook, raising his knife to strike!

Bang!

But, coincidentally, at this moment, a bodyguard behind Callum Cook leapt forward with a kick, sending the man flying!

"Mr. Cook, are you alright?"

The bodyguard asked.

With a wave of his hand, the other bodyguards immediately rushed forward and captured the man.

"I’m fine! John, thanks to you," Callum Cook inhaled deeply, trying to remain composed.

But as he spoke, his hand gripping the stair rail was still shaking.

This bodyguard named John had been hired for a hefty sum to act as his personal guard.

Since he had taken over the Cook Family’s interests, there was always anxiety, fearing retaliation.

John had been by Callum Cook’s side for several years, protecting him countless times.

He was the person Callum Cook trusted and relied on the most.

"It’s my duty, boss. I’m just glad you’re okay."

John nodded, clenching his fists as he approached the assassin.

"Callum Cook, you old bastard! You damn dog! I curse you to a horrible death!"

The assassin, dressed as a waiter, screamed hysterically.

His eyes were filled with rage and an unwillingness to surrender!

"Today is Mr. Cook’s birthday. Mr. Cook is kind-hearted and doesn’t want to see bloodshed. So, he has decided to let you go,"

John said coldly to the man before him, "Take him away."

After speaking, he gave a knowing look to the bodyguards.

"Understood!"

The bodyguards scoffed, dragging the man towards the outside of Starlight Mansion.

"Mr. Cook is truly magnanimous! Anyone else would not have let this assassin off so easily!"

"Exactly! Such generosity and mercy! Mr. Cook is obviously a good person. I really wonder if those saying the Cook family usurped Whitaker Corporation’s assets are out of their minds!"

"The Whitaker family’s time is up, naturally!"

The guests below didn’t miss the opportunity to flatter.

But Bamboo Whitaker, seeing the man being escorted out, couldn’t help but rush forward.

"What are you doing?"

Julius Reed stopped her, raising an eyebrow and asking, "Do you know him?"

"He’s my grandfather’s driver, Whitaker Nine," Bamboo Whitaker said, biting her lip. "I didn’t expect him to still hold gratitude towards our Whitaker family."

"Loyal and righteous, too bad if he dies."

Julius Reed patted Bamboo Whitaker on the shoulder, then turned to Terry Moore, "Handsome, watch her for me."

"Brother Davenport, where are you going!"

Terry Moore was sitting and eating sunflower seeds when he heard this, and couldn’t help but ask.

"To kill," Julius Reed said flatly.

"Brother Davenport, aren’t you going to save someone?" Bamboo Whitaker blinked.

"Once the one who needs to be killed is dead, the one who needs to be saved will naturally be safe."

Julius Reed smiled faintly and turned to leave.

Outside Starlight Mansion.

Four people were dragging Whitaker Nine, taking him to the back yard parking lot.

"Let go of me!"

Whitaker Nine struggled non-stop!

"Let you go? Boy, how can you even have the cheek to ask that?" the bodyguard sneered, pulling out a steel pipe from behind.

"Callum Cook said to let me go! You dare disobey?" Whitaker Nine felt a chill on his back, a bad premonition washing over him.

These people didn’t look like they intended to release him at all.

"Boy, you ruined Mr. Cook’s birthday banquet and still expect to live?" the bodyguard licked his lips and clutched the steel pipe tightly.

"Hold him down, I’ll send him on his way with one swing of this pipe!"

The bodyguard finished speaking, spat on his hands, and rubbed them together forcefully.

"Callum Cook, you won’t die a good death!"

Whitaker Nine let out a roar of fury, filled with both despair and helplessness.

"Boy, still so tough when death is imminent!" the bodyguard spoke, then swung his arm ready to strike down.

"Hold on!"

Just then, a voice suddenly appeared.

"Who is it!"

The bodyguards turned in alarm, looking at Julius Reed.

"Get lost!"

They were ultimately there to kill someone, so they certainly couldn’t be discovered.

Thud!

No sooner had the words left his mouth than Julius Reed’s tree leaf flew out of his hand with force!

The leaf slit the throats of all four men.

Blood sealed their fate!

Thump!

Four bodies fell to the ground, their eyes wide open in death.

"You..."

Whitaker Nine’s legs went weak with fear, not knowing what to do.

"Just go, pretend you didn’t see anything today." Julius Reed had spared Whitaker Nine, simply because he saw the man’s unwavering loyalty.

After saving Whitaker Nine, he still had to go back for Callum Cook’s birthday celebration.

"Are you... with the Whitaker family?"

Whitaker Nine suddenly asked.

"Does it matter?"

Julius Reed turned around, surveying the chaotic scene. "I’d advise you to leave quickly. Otherwise, you’ll definitely be implicated in the deaths of these four men."

"If you are with the Whitaker family, I have something to give you." Whitaker Nine hesitated, then pulled out a jade pendant from his chest.

"I might not live much longer. Callum Cook won’t let me off the hook! This jade pendant was entrusted to me by Old Master Whitaker a week before his death, for safekeeping. But until today, I’ve been unable to find his rightful descendants. In fact, Callum Cook has always been sending people to look for this."

He cautiously handed the pendant over: "I don’t know if I’m making the right decision today, but I hope the spirit of Old Master Whitaker can bless me for not giving the item to the wrong person."

After speaking, he stood up and presented it with both hands.

"This is..."

Julius Reed hesitated briefly, "To be frank, Bamboo Whitaker has always been by my side. If what you say is true, then returning the pendant would be righting a wrong. And I can assure you of one thing."

"What?"

Whitaker Nine, hearing the name Bamboo Whitaker, was visibly excited.

"You will be safe in Morwenna," Julius Reed placed the jade pendant in his pocket and turned to leave.

"Callum Cook, will die today!"

Whitaker Nine was left with only those words ringing in his ears.

Inside the Starlight Mansion hotel!

Callum Cook stood at the central podium, ready to cut the cake.

Countless people held their breath, not making a sound.

Their eyes held a glint of anticipation.

Today, whoever got a piece of this cake was the lucky one!

Perhaps, it also meant a chance to collaborate with Whitaker Corporation!

"From the capital’s top dog, the number one master Terry Moore, a gift is presented!"

Just then, a shout rang out.

Even Callum Cook stopped his actions, looking towards the entrance.

What’s going on?

Someone’s bringing a gift?

The Cook Family was the leading powerhouse in Morwenna!

They had everything they desired at their command!

Today was Callum Cook’s birthday, and everyone was keen to keep things proper.

Just being there was friendship enough.

No need for gifts.

The Cooks lacked for nothing, they sought prestige!

But now, someone was making a bold move by bringing a gift?

Seemed like someone was trying to show off a bit much?

"Terry Moore! A luxurious mansion as a gift for Mr. Cook!"

With that said,

Bang!

The flat cap-wearing man slammed a marble coffin onto the ground behind him.

The floor shattered.

The guests on the first floor of the vast Starlight Mansion actually felt a tremor.

"Quick! Stop him!"

As soon as the marble coffin was dropped, a swarm of security guards rushed up from behind.

"My apologies, everyone!"

The security captain, blood on his face, hurried over, lamenting to the guests.

The flat cap-wearing man had barged in earlier, beating them all up with brute force.

"Move! Daring to disturb Mr. Cook’s birthday banquet, you’re courting death!"

The captain shouted, then raised his baton, about to strike!

"The damn Terry Moore, stop eating sunflower seeds!"

Karen shouted out loud, "Someone’s picking a fight with your brother!"

"I’m on it, little bro!"

With a grunt, a large table in the center of the hotel was suddenly hoisted high into the air!
