Chapter 1157: Chapter 1157: Gift

"Do you still remember me?"

Elaenor Wood was also taken aback and replied, "Just call me Wood."

Centuries passed, time swiftly flowed by.

In the long river of history, countless people streaked by like shooting stars.

And then, they turned to withered bones.

But now, when Elaenor Wood saw his old friend once again,

he felt differently.

Having slept for centuries, upon opening his eyes, the world had changed, and so had the people around him.

He felt as though he was in an entirely unfamiliar world.

Alone, lonely.

The horse riders had vanished.

People were traveling in steel machines.

Clothing had also become complicated and varied.

Fewer people were drinking tea.

They were drinking a steaming black liquid instead.

Many people seemed to belch with satisfaction after drinking it.

Zain Ellsworth said it was Coca-Cola, a foreign item.

But Elaenor Wood could not appreciate it.

With one sip, all he felt was his throat going numb.

Moreover, the taverns outside were full of poison now.

Poison in the dishes, poison in the oil,

even in what they called baby formula.

He was curious, why were the people nowadays seemingly immune to all poisons?

Could it be that everyone was born with exceptional gifts?

Elaenor Wood was lonely.

Perplexed.

The era had changed.

In just a few centuries, the Acient Time had even perished.

Yet when he was asleep, he didn’t even know that the Acient Time would emerge centuries later.

After quickly getting acquainted with the world, he didn’t even return to Medicine King Valley but headed straight for Gonzalez City.

"Thank goodness, there are still old friends." Elaenor Wood, pointing at Itai Huntington, said with a slight smile, "Your woman?"

"No."

Julius Reed shook his head, his eyes continually sizing up Elaenor Wood.

"I certainly remember you. Although I’ve aged, I’m not so senile that I can’t remember what you looked like back then."

Immortality had allowed Julius to experience countless people and events,

but Elaenor Wood was one of the rare ones who could compete with him in medicine till the end.

Julius Reed had a deep impression of him.

In fact, if Medicine King Valley had not always been unwelcoming toward him, Julius Reed would have even considered rescuing Elaenor Wood.

But now, it seemed rather unnecessary.

Elaenor Wood was alive and well,

and still very young,

as if he had been preserved in a refrigerator.

"You’re still alive?" Julius Reed, with his legs crossed, tapped his fingers lightly on the table and voiced his doubts.

"Aren’t you also still alive?"

Elaenor Wood shared a similar smile as he spoke.

The two, like long-lost old friends, had no tension of drawn swords, but rather a warm atmosphere.

"We are not the same, I cannot die. But you, you shouldn’t have lived till today, should you?"

After Julius Reed finished speaking, he stretched out his hand and pinched Elaenor Wood’s face.

"Stop it!"

Just then, Zain Ellsworth, who had gone out to buy tea, returned and, seeing this scene, he surged forward!

His right hand transformed into a claw and he attacked instantaneously!

"Get lost!"

Bang!

Before Julius Reed could react, Elaenor Wood bellowed and directly repelled Zain Ellsworth.

"Yes..."

Zain Ellsworth felt as if his internal organs were shattered, painfully acknowledging the statement.

"The servants are impolite, don’t take offense."

Elaenor Wood spoke with a smile.

"It’s nothing, at least you know the rules. Besides, I don’t care about such ants." Julius Reed, like pinching a child, pinched Elaenor Wood’s face back and forth.

Seemingly not satisfied, he gently punched Elaenor Wood’s chest with his fist.

Very firm.

The skin very smooth.

Much like Nelson.

"Well done, brother." Julius Reed withdrew his hand, quite surprised, "Just like a real person."

"What you said." Elaenor Wood waved his hand, and Zain Ellsworth immediately placed the two cups of tea they had just bought on the table.

Having done all that, he honestly went back to his place.

"I am a real person, genuine and true."

Elaenor Wood picked up the tea cup and looked at Julius Reed, "While it’s hot?"

"While it’s hot!"

Julius Reed also picked up the tea cup and drained it in one gulp.

"Just like back then, not much improvement." He looked at the empty cup and licked his lips, "Thirty-seven deadly poisons, four more than when we first met."

"An expert!" Elaenor Wood too drained his tea in one gulp and then, quite surprised, said, "Absolute Dust? You actually, stole my formula?"

Absolute Dust!

The most famous methodology back in the days of the genius Medicine King.

Even Grandmasters had no way of countering it.

But now, after drinking it, Elaenor Wood acted as if nothing had happened.

"To be honest, you cheated back then." He smiled, shaking his head, "Indeed, I was no match for you, but using that method still leaves me unable to swallow my pride. Thus, unable to let go of that breath, I survived."

The two of them kept talking, leaving Itai Huntington completely confused.

What exactly was their relationship?

"I heard you got married." Elaenor Wood glanced at Itai Huntington and took out a red envelope from his bosom tossing it to Julius Reed, "A little gift."

"If I’m not wrong, this envelope has three deadly poisons on it, all lethal upon contact." Julius Reed picked up the red envelope, sniffed it lightly, and seemed surprised, "Seven types?"

"Extra quantity, same price. After all, we’re old friends," Elaenor Wood said with a smile.

"Let me see what’s inside." Julius Reed opened the red envelope, finding a jade clasp inside.

"Thousand-year cold jade, priceless," Elaenor Wood added.

Julius Reed gently touched it with his hand, nodding, "Actually not poisoned?"

This jade clasp was indeed made of thousand-year cold jade.

The quality was top-notch!

The kind you couldn’t buy with money.

But it had no poison on it.

Clean as could be.

"Old friends meeting, I ought to bring a gift for the sister-in-law. Otherwise, I’d really lose face." Elaenor Wood looked at Itai Huntington and squinted his eyes, "This woman is good, she has a fortunate appearance. Only..."

"Only what?" asked Itai Huntington curiously.

"Only... this woman is still a virgin, you’re not impotent because you overmedicated, are you?" Elaenor Wood spoke, then pulled out a pen and paper from his bosom, and quickly wrote down a medical prescription.

"Trust me, it will definitely work. There’s nobody who understands medicine better than me in this world." Finishing, he pushed the paper towards them.

"Tsk!"

Itai Huntington’s face turned red, as if overwhelmed with shyness.

"It’s a shame... she’s not my wife." Julius Reed stuffed the jade clasp into Itai Huntington’s hand, advising her, "Keep it safe, you couldn’t buy this even with a hundred billion."

"Ah..."

Itai Huntington was somewhat bewildered.

"Oh? Not your wife?" Elaenor Wood raised his eyebrows, "Then where is the sister-in-law? It seems I need to prepare another gift?"

"Julius Reed, this is your friend giving..." Itai Huntington, a bit at a loss.

With her ambiguous status, where would she dare to accept such a valuable gift.

"Keep it, it’s a freebie."

Julius Reed waved his hand, "You go back first, we’ll meet up some other time."

"Okay." Itai Huntington hesitated, then whispered in Julius Reed’s ear, "Be careful, stay safe."

Having said that, she quickly walked away with her bag.

"There’s something I think you might not know." After Itai Huntington left, Julius Reed spoke up, "I killed your entire Medicine King Valley."
