Chapter 867: Chapter 867 The Last Supper

At the Huntington Mansion.

The spring breeze was blowing wildly!

The Vermilion Bird flags fluttered noisily!

From a distance, it was like rows of flames, burning fiercely!

Julius Reed stepped onto the red carpet, strolling leisurely towards the Picking Star Pavilion.

His steps were steady.

His expression was indifferent.

Beneath his feet.

The carpet depicted a magnificent landscape!

A splendid scene!

"I wonder why he is so self-assured?"

Nikodem Lee watched Julius Reed’s retreating figure, his eyes brimming with hatred, "Not giving face to my Lee Family is one thing. Unexpectedly, he dares not to give face to your Huntington family as well."

Upon hearing that Julius Reed had been invited to their home by Darrell Huntington, Nikodem Lee immediately got up and came over.

This was surely a trap-laden banquet!

A grand scheme!

When Darrell Huntington took action, wasn’t it always a grand gesture?

"My Huntington family is just an ordinary family," said Darrell Huntington with a faint smile. "But if someone steps on the head of the Huntington family, I have no choice but to take note of it."

Having said that, regardless of whether Nikodem Lee was willing, he extended his hand and said, "Please!"

"Please!"

Nikodem Lee did not refuse and directly followed behind Julius Reed.

The entire capital knew that his son had died at the hands of Julius Reed!

He died cleanly!

Without leaving any evidence.

Now, Nikodem Lee came to visit with a smile on his face.

This alone proved that this banquet was no simple affair.

"Father, Zahir Huntington wishes to step forward."

Waylon Huntington came over and whispered, "I can’t stop him."

"Then... let him come!"

A smile formed on Darrell Huntington’s lips, "Three years! After lying low for three years, my grandson should indeed show himself to the world."

"I shall make the arrangements."

Waylon Huntington nodded, then turned and left.

The red carpet, the Vermilion Bird flags!

Dozens of wealthy merchants walked with their heads held high towards the Picking Star Pavilion!

And there.

Julius Reed had already taken his seat.

Facing south from the north.

A golden dragon above his head!

"Please stand up!"

Vance Huntington approached Julius Reed and sternly said, "This seat is reserved for my father! Others are not allowed to sit here!"

All around, the wild wind roared!

The golden dragons coiled around the pillars, dazzling in the bright spring sun.

Julius Reed sat firmly in his place.

Without uttering a word.

The guests.

Had already entered the Picking Star Pavilion.

But, not a single one dared to sit down.

Because.

The true master of the Picking Star Pavilion had not yet arrived.

Dozens of people lined up in two rows, turned around, and looked towards the road filled with Vermilion Bird flags.

One could see—

Darrell Huntington walking with his head held high, alone.

On the several meters wide red carpet, the elderly man walked with a sturdy step and commanding presence.

With every step, he exuded confidence!

Striding like the wind, he trod on rivers and mountains!

"Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats!"

Darrell Huntington entered the Picking Star Pavilion and casually smiled, "I don’t stand on ceremony, so there’s no need for you to be so formal."

Immediately after, his gaze fell on Julius Reed.

That was his own seat.

Sitting north facing south!

But now.

The owner of the seat had unexpectedly become Julius Reed.

"I told you to stand up!"

Vance Huntington roared again.

Giving face, and it’s not taken?

Once a man has come to the Huntington family.

He shouldn’t expect to leave.

In front of everyone, it was a good opportunity to teach Julius Reed a lesson!

The spring wind was strong, and Vance Huntington’s right hand, with one finger severed, was already somewhat throbbing.

"Why should I get up?"

Julius Reed turned his head with a mocking smile, looking at Vance Huntington, "Give me a reason that could convince me. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise, what?"

Vance Huntington’s eyes were full of mockery.

This was the Huntington family!

His home ground!

Outside the Picking Star Pavilion, dozens of Huntington family bodyguards were ready for combat!

The mansion’s gates were tightly closed!

This Picking Star Pavilion was like a web from heaven and earth – no matter how vast your Divine Skills, escape was next to impossible!

"If your reason can’t satisfy me, then you’ll soon understand," said Julius Reed casually, playing with a teacup on the table.

From a distance, a slight smile appeared on the corner of Nikodem Lee’s mouth.

The audacity to utter such threats at the Huntington Mansion against the Huntington family.

No second person could be found in the entire capital city who would dare to do this.

Outside the door, people stood guard vigilantly!

Even if Beckett Carmichael wanted to repeat his remarkable feat of bulldozing the gate like the last time, there was no chance of that happening.

It is likely that long before a bulldozer could even get near the Huntington family, the vehicle and its driver would be captured!

Inside the courtyard, bodyguards made the Picking Star Pavilion impenetrable.

Julius Reed was playing with fire.

"I have no reason!" Vance Huntington said vehemently, "The fact that I am Vance Huntington is reason enough for you to stand up now!"

Last time, he had to watch, helpless, as his son’s hands were nailed to the table with a steel fork.

Powerless to do anything!

After that, Zahir Huntington was thrown down from the building.

He still couldn’t stop it!

Even his own finger was broken.

He was disabled!

And became the laughingstock of the capital city.

"Just because you’re Vance Huntington?" Julius Reed asked with a faint smile, "Even if Darrell Huntington sits anywhere, he remains Darrell Huntington. Does that mean I should call you ’Dad’ just because I’m sitting here?"

"You!" Vance Huntington’s face darkened as he laughed angrily, "That’s the rule! In my Huntington family, you have to follow the rules!"

"Is that so?" Julius Reed chuckled, "That’s a pretty lame reason. Rules are made by people. Today, I’ll set a new rule for your Huntington family."

"What an arrogant claim!" Vance Huntington narrowed his eyes, radiating a murderous aura.

"Do you have the ability to do that?"

"Naturally," said Julius Reed as he set down his cup and straightened his clothes. "I’ve heard that the Huntington family is full of talent. Today, I will sit here and experience it firsthand."

"If... If someone can force me to stand up, I will naturally leave and apologize," he added, raising his head to look at Vance Huntington. "Why don’t we start with you?"

"I am a man of the Huntington family. Why would I lower myself to compete with you personally?" Vance Huntington’s face flushed slightly.

He knew that he was no match for Julius Reed and obviously would not fall for it.

That day, Julius Reed was only so bold because someone held a box of concealed weapons at his disposal!

But, today!

This is the Huntington Mansion.

The opponent was alone, whereas he had an army at his back!

Whoosh!

Julius Reed suddenly made his move, snatching the jade pendant from Vance Huntington’s chest.

He gently squeezed it in his hand.

It turned to dust.

"Give it back!" Vance Huntington instinctively reached out to grab it.

Whoosh!

The next moment.

Julius Reed kicked out with his left foot!

Vance Huntington was sent flying backwards!

He slammed into the golden dragon column!

"Your courage is commendable! I didn’t expect that the first one to lay hands on me would be Vance Huntington!" Julius Reed exclaimed, giving a thumbs up, "The Huntington family has no cowards."

"Hiss!"

Vance Huntington curled up on the ground in agony, his face contorted!

He let out a faint, barely audible groan of pain.

Pain!

An excruciating, piercing pain!

Two of his ribs were broken.

"Someone come!" A voice shouted, "That kid just attacked someone."

"Clearly, it was Young Master Huntington who made the first move," Julius Reed shrugged, feigning innocence, "Mr. Huntington, did you invite me here just to look for trouble?"

"Dinner," said Darrell Huntington with a light smile, "You’ve been invited to dine, of course."

"But what am I to eat if you don’t serve any food?" Julius Reed seemed utterly unaware of the danger, pointing at the table, "You could at least serve a couple of dishes on this empty table first."

"Serve the dishes!" Darrell Huntington motioned, and behind him, bodyguards immediately carried Vance Huntington away.

"This might well be your last meal," he said, sitting across from Julius Reed with a calm smile.
