Upon hearing the commotion, the gunmen in black suits immediately rushed in.

They scrambled to the window, shooting wildly at Daniel who was sprinting down the street.

The instant Daniel heard the gunfire, he abruptly changed direction.

His exceptional reflexes enabled him to nimbly evade all the bullets with serpentine maneuvers.

Daniel rushed to the side of the vehicle, got in, and Sophia flung herself at him, a mess of tears and sniffles.

"I’m sorry, Daniel," she began. "If it wasn’t for me..."

Before she could finish, Daniel ruffled Sophia’s hair and cut her off, "Don’t be silly. Stop overthinking. I’ll take you home first."

The car roared to life, and soon only a streak of tail light remained on the road.

Back inside the bar, the gunmen saw their target had disappeared and had no choice but to leave the room and report to Nicola.

Nicola’s brow furrowed, "Where is he?"

One of the men in black answered, "He jumped out of the window and drove off."

Nicola’s face darkened, "A bunch of useless idiots. Go after him now!"

"Yes, sir!" The men in black hurriedly headed downstairs.

Nicola took a glance around and then walked into the room where Lexio was.

His face was grim, "Who have you pissed off this time? If I hadn’t gotten here when I did, you’d be dead!"

Lexio was seething.

Nicola was nothing more than a house servant, yet he dared to speak to him so insolently.

He wanted to lash out, but his current physical condition wouldn’t allow it.

"Daniel, I thought he was just some nouveau riche. I didn’t expect him to put up such a fight," Lexio managed to say. "Take me to the hospital first."

"Daniel?!" Nicola was immediately livid.

"I’ve told you not to mess with him, why do you insist on being so obstinate? Do you know how much trouble your actions could bring to the Godfather?!"

Lexio’s anger flared, "A nouveau riche who made his fortune by gambling on container blind boxes at the port, how much trouble could he cause?!"

Nicola was infuriated, he closed his eyes tightly.

If there ever was a perfect example of the phrase ’You can’t carve rotten wood’, it would be Lexio, the imbecile.

Taking a deep breath, Nicola opened his eyes, "Those guys downstairs, were they all killed by him?"

"Definitely had some help. Maybe when they saw you coming with men, the help bolted," Lexio suggested.

Nicola called for a server, and had them bring up the surveillance footage.

Seeing Daniel, single-handedly, taking down fifty gunmen, Nicola was shocked.

Even though those punks had lousy aim, or rather no aim at all, with some of them even firing blindly, they were still fifty men, fifty guns.

Even a monster would be blasted to death.

Yet, this man was untouched. Was he even human?

For a moment, Nicola wasn’t sure whether to be shocked at the uselessness of Lexio’s underlings, or the abnormality of Daniel.

Either way, he knew that the grudge between Lexio and Daniel was now deeply rooted.

Thinking about the instructions from the man upstairs, Nicola felt a headache coming on.

To kill Daniel? But if that man found out, even the Godfather might have to personally go apologize.

To let it be? He wouldn’t mind, but after everything that had happened, it was unlikely Daniel would let it slide.

As for what Lexio thought, he couldn’t care less.

If he wasn’t the Godfather’s nephew, Nicola would have offed such a man long ago.

But now, he had to worry about this monster’s safety, with Daniel’s abilities, killing Lexio would be a walk in the park.

After mulling it over, Nicola made up his mind.

Daniel had to die.

He had to be killed silently, without anyone finding out.

Only then could he ensure Lexio’s safety and avoid the wrath of the man upstairs.

But after the scale of today’s gunfight, it wouldn’t be wise to make a move in the short term.

He would just have to assign more skilled men to guard Lexio and wait for the right moment to strike.

With that thought, Nicola dialed a number, "Everyone, come back. Starting from today, you all will stay by Lexio’s side, rotating in shifts, 24 hours a day."

After finishing, Nicola glanced coldly at Lexio, who was slumped against a corner, and left without another word.

Downstairs at Rachel’s apartment, Daniel dropped off Sophia and after soothing her, drove back to the RGB Bar.

Nothing special, just going to kill someone.

Lexio’s move to kidnap Sophia was something Daniel couldn’t tolerate.

The disgusting words he said in front of Daniel only fanned his murderous intent.

He parked the car in the alley behind RGB Bar, took his Desert Eagle, and entered through the unguarded back door.

With all the men dead or injured, the security of RGB Bar was weaker than ever.

In fact, it was nonexistent. The police always stayed out of Black Hat Gang’s business.

So, inside the bar, only the servers were left cleaning up the aftermath.

The scene was bloody, and many who hadn’t seen a dead body before had emptied their stomachs.

But the pay was good enough that many held on.

Daniel entered through the back door, and ’sneaking in’ would be too strong a term.

He crossed the lobby and strutted to the second floor without a second glance.

Everyone was too busy holding down their nausea to notice him.

Lexio was in the room at the very end of the second floor, where a female doctor was attending to his wounds.

Clenching his teeth through the pain, Lexio managed a grim smile.

"That damn Daniel... He really is a tough cookie," he muttered, adding, "When I’m healed, I’m going to have him killed."

He reached out and placed his hand on the doctor’s chest, fondling her without restraint. 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢

She cringed in distaste but dared not avoid his advances.

Just then, a voice sounded from outside the door.

"No need to look for me, I came on my own."

With that, the door opened. Seeing the figure at the entrance, Lexio’s face instantly blanched.

He wanted to get up and escape, but the kick from earlier had seriously injured him.

Any slight movement would cause excruciating pain, immobilizing him completely.

Daniel strolled into the room, speaking in a calm tone. "What are you scared of?"

Lexio feigned composure and stuttered, "Nicola’s nearby. If you fire a shot, he’ll respond immediately. You won’t get away!"

He knew very well that Nicola had left, but he was trying to intimidate Daniel.

Daniel shook his head. "I have no idea who Nicola is."

"Get out, I have some private matters to discuss with him," he said to the female doctor, who seemed relieved.

Escaping from Lexio’s clutches, she hurried out of the room.

With only Daniel and himself left in the room, Lexio’s fear escalated.

His previous confidence was gone, replaced by trembling.

This guy was clearly a lunatic, and a dangerous one at that.

As Daniel slowly closed in, Lexio pleaded in desperation, "Spare me, and I’ll give you everything you want!"

Daniel asked, "Everything I want?"

Seemingly seeing a glimmer of hope, Lexio grinned, "Yes, I’m the nephew of the Black Hat Gang’s godfather. Whatever you want - money, power, women, anything - I can give it to you. Just let me go!"

With a placid expression, Daniel said, "What I want the most, is you."

From someone else, that statement might have sounded ambiguous.

But coming from Daniel, Lexio felt a chilling fear spreading through his body.

To him, Daniel was like a grim reaper, slowly approaching to claim his life.

Suddenly, Lexio lost his nerve.

He begged, "I’m sorry, please, I beg you to spare me! I can apologize to you, at any cost! I’m willing to give up all I have if you can let me live!"

Daniel reached him, towering over him.

With a cold smirk, he said, "If you had just pissed me off, maybe we could’ve negotiated something. But you had to involve Sophia. There’s only one way you can earn my forgiveness... with your life."

With that, Daniel fired his gun in anger.

Boom!

The gunshot echoed in the room, joined by Lexio’s wretched howls.

Daniel had not ended him with one shot; instead, he hit Lexio where it hurts the most – his pride and joy.

Now, that area of Lexio’s body was nothing more than a bloody mess.

Lexio was drenched in cold sweat.

His hair was standing on end, and the excruciating pain caused his entire body to tremble.

His face was pale as a sheet, his lips turned bluish.

Looking at his once treasured possession, now obliterated, was a mental blow too heavy to bear.

That was his beloved jewel!

Although a bit on the smaller side, it made every woman he’d been with cry out in ecstasy.

But now, his precious member was blasted to pieces, beyond any hope of repair.

Lexio was instantly broken, pleading, "Kill me, just kill me!"

A twisted smile appeared on Daniel’s face.

"Kill you?" he asked, "Wouldn’t that be letting you off too easy?"

He aimed his gun and fired a few more rounds at Lexio’s already ravaged nether regions.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The fresh bullet holes caused Lexio’s blood to spurt out like a geyser.

His face turned deathly pale, and upon seeing the devastation below his waist, he rolled his eyes and fainted from the shock.

Upon seeing this, Daniel let out a sigh of disappointment.

He’d hoped to play a little longer, but this weakling had passed out too soon.

At that moment, Daniel heard the sound of hurried footsteps coming from the staircase.

It must have been the better shooters of the Black Hat Gang coming back.

Daniel didn’t waste any more time; he lifted his gun and fired a shot.

Boom!
