In the sky’s of the undercity, sounds of battle raged, as two silhouettes could be heard engaging in a Loud battle.
"I see she broke through..." The cloaked individual from the dalriss family side had removed his hood showing that he was cane. One of the marquees of Eldoria.
"Not even up to 1 hour ago." In front of him the level 4 warlock named Bartholomew responded with calm. What was happening in the sky’s of the undercity was the peak of combat in the kingdom currently.
Level 4 magic users were very few and would hardly fight because the damage they could cause was enormous and unnecessary. So peak of level 3 was really the only fights that could happen.
And even that was from time to time. As even peak level 3 fights were still devastating.
Liana breaking through to this level was an addition to the fighting ranks of the warlocks. This was not a welcome result for the mages.
"How did you heal the injury" Cane asked. Alaric’s Rot was not easily stopped unless you had a specific method. This was what made him exceptionally valuable to the family. If they had found a method to remove the rot then not only would they have gotten a new asset they would have thoroughly weakened the dalriss family’s card.
"Hehe, it’s a secret" Bartholomew shook his head and smiled.....even he didn’t understand what happened completely, what Liana told him sounded absurd.
A level 2 warlock healed her? Something no level 3 could do was done by someone at level 2?
Meanwhile Leon, Arian and gunta sat outside the dojo watching Liana and Alaric go at it. It had caused a big commotion throughout the undercity.
Several hundreds of people were watching this happen in the sky and as the undercity was majority warlock they all praised Liana’s winning strikes.
Yes, Liana was winning.
With the increase in battle prowess and her usage of the bloody parade spell, Liana, who was no match for Alaric before had completely overtaken him In terms of speed, strength, and agility
"BloodSerpent work: BloodSerpent extensions"
Liana activated the auxiliary spell Leon was looking at, and 8 snake constructs made from blood popped out from her back.
"BloodSerpent work: Blood projectiles"
All of a sudden the snake constructs opened their mouths and spear tipped projectiles started firing in Alaric’s direction forcing him to dodge endlessly.
—puu!!
—puu!!!
—puu!!!
This spell combination didn’t really hurt Alaric as this level of combat was beneath them at the peak of level 3. Liana was just trying to show Leon how the spell worked.
"Very nice" Leon smiled at this combination.....Leon could think of so many ways to use it.....he just needed time.
"Magnosmanian Area: geostorm"
Alaric streched his hand forward and his massive sword disintegrated and formed a sort of forcefield around him and Liana.
This was an Area. It was one of the perk skills of a level 3 magic user. It allowed them full regin over the Area they were in at any given moment.
This spell had been used once by Arian at their fight in the kentow family household. She used it to disable a large number of combatants. Naturally hers was not as potent as Alarics.
"Hmp!!!! BloodSerpent Site: bloody paradise"
Liana countered and just then the entire Area around her turned into a bloody cesspool, with weapon constructs all over.
Just like how the mages had their Area spells, warlocks had thier sites. This wasn’t a replica....it was natural progression.
"Die!!!" Alaric pointed outwards and the metal scraps from his sword came barreling towards liana, threatening to take her life.
Alaric’s area was much bigger that Liana’s site, as such it should be easier to destroy liana. But this didn’t happened as at the last minute the bloody paradise covered liana in a spherical blood ball. Deflecting Alaric’s attack with ease.
—yeeeeeeee
Following this a large spear shot out from inside the sphere Liana was in and struck towards Alaric catching him on surprise.
The blood ball had clumped togather the scraps from Alaric’s sword, merged it with the blood paradise and sent it towards Alaric at full force essentially using his own attack against him.
—Boom!!!!!!!!
Alaric was sent flying down into the city blocks of the undercity.
Back at the dojo
"It’s over....call him off" Bartholomew said casually. Both himself and cane already knew who would win this fight, but letting them fight to the death was unnecessary..
Cane might not value his brother, but Bartholomew valued liana alot and didn’t want to see her injured so often.
"What? are you afraid blue devil?" The marquee cane asked mockingly. But Bartholomew didn’t seemed moved only maintaining an unfeeling gaze.
Of course, this was very diffrent from what he was feeling. He was called the blue devil for a reason. When he gets pissed his flames would burn so hot they become blue....one of the most hot Tempered warlocks in the undercity.
"That’s enough, let’s go" after a solid minute of looking at Bartholomew the marquee smiled bitterly as spoke causally. It wasn’t that he was afraid of the blue devil. In fact he believed firmly that he could take him in a one on one.
However, he knew that the undercity was an unforgiving place for level 4 mages. If he showed himself, and engaged in a full-feldged battle with Bartholomew he would be ganged up on in no time.
(We will just have to focus on the disgraced bastard for now)
Cane thought in his mind with obvious frustration. It was so hard trying to find the disgraced knight the guy had seemingly melded with the lowlives of the city and he couldn’t even tell the difference anymore...sometimes he would just appear and disappear.
And so, cane led his men and Alaric outside of the undercity. There was no reason to be here anymore, unless they could bring someone stronger than Liana, it wad basically a waste of time.
"That was refreshing" Liana flew down to where Leon and the rest were seated. On her face a look of relief. Being able to beat Alaric made her very happy.....
He had beaten enslaved and humiliated her in the heaven devourer mountain. She wanted nothing more than to kill him. But she also understood that this was not the time for it
"Congratulations matriarch" Leon congratulated her causing her to smile.
Meanwhile in the dark tunnel leading out of the undercity.
"I hate this" Alaric sat on his horse with scars all over his face and finger mark on his amour. He was exhausted and generally tired. He couldn’t even remember the last time he had a good night of sleep.
It was one thing after the other, every single day, and his elder brother wasn’t helping the matter at all.
"You lost and you still have the balls to complain? " The marquee looked annoyed. This little bastard of a brother had watched his two sons get slaughtered and kidnapped....he had no pity of him and would work him like a dog till he rolls over and dies if he wanted to.
"You...have no mercy for your little brother?" Alaric asked with a tinge of hurt in his tone. He didn’t know why his brother hated him so. It wasn’t just this all their life be had treated him like Shit and now that he had made a mistake he wanted to work him to death.
It wasn’t fair.
"Shut your dirty trap up and keep moving. I don’t have the time for this. You still need to find that fool Asher...." The marquee retorted...but this time his words were followed by a response.
"Find me? I’m already here" however the response wasn’t from Alaric. Standing before the light at the end of the tunnel a man in ragged clothes with dirty blonde hair and a face that could only be described as beautiful stood.
He looked like the blend between a Noble and a begger. His aura was that of a noble but his looked was that of a commoner....in fact he looked worse than a commoner.
"You..." Cane was momentarily shocked and before he could say a word.
"Die!!!" The man materilized a spear from the wind and threw it outwards.
—Boom!!!
The spear caused the wind around to explode forcing everyone in the dalriss family troop to go into disarray. Even with all they disturbance, the spear hit its target.
Alaric.
"Arggg" Alaric held his chest and fell onto the floor while Stretching his hand forward as if looking for help from his brother cane.
But from the floor he could see, cane was not even bothered by what just happened.
(Haa, I forgot.....he hates me)
Alaric winced in pain.
"You won’t escape this time" the marquee cane declared before lounging towards the assailant. This person was exactly who they were looking for.
It was the disgraced knight..... 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶
