Chapter 314 - 303

"Lisa, I need to see my mother."

Thor had always been gentle toward women, including his mother's maids, but now, due to his urgency, his tone was slightly different than usual.

As Frigga's attendant, Lisa was naturally observant. Seeing the urgency in Thor's expression, she immediately understood that something serious must have happened. Without delay, she told Thor to wait for a moment and turned around to open the palace doors.

Before she could reach them, however, the doors opened automatically.

Frigga stepped out, dressed in an exquisite yet slightly disheveled silk gown, a clear sign that she had come immediately upon hearing the commotion.

"Thor," she called softly, her expression graceful yet tinged with concern.

"Mother, I'm sorry to disturb you."

"You are my son," Frigga said with gentle reproach, taking Thor's hand and leading him inside the palace.

The grandeur of Frigga's palace was beyond imagination, a reflection of her personality. She was gentle, yet she had an appreciation for luxury. As Asgard's queen, her surroundings were a symbol of her status, and no one would dare question it. In fact, anything less would have been considered an insult to Asgard itself.

Thor had spent his childhood in the Crystal Palace and was naturally familiar with his mother's chambers. However, as he had grown, he visited less frequently, respecting certain boundaries. But now, he had no time for such concerns.

Frigga led him to a spacious balcony and gestured for him to sit. Pouring him a glass of wine, she handed it over. Thor accepted it, but rather than drinking, he immediately spoke, his voice laced with urgency.

"Mother, I had a dream just now. A vision of disaster—its source was a woman."

Before Frigga could respond, Thor quickly described the figure from his dream, detailing her attire and presence.

As she listened, Frigga's expression changed drastically.

"This is impossible," she murmured in shock.

The ever-composed and gentle queen had lost control of her expression. The wineglass in her hand slipped, shattering on the red carpet below, spilling its contents. But neither she nor Thor paid it any attention.

Taking a deep breath, Frigga locked eyes with her son.

"Have you spoken to Heimdall?"

"Yes," Thor nodded. "He seemed to recognize her but refused to tell me her identity. Mother, who is she?"

Frigga didn't answer immediately. Instead, she fell silent, lost in memories. After a long pause, she sighed.

"She is your sister, Thor."

"What?"

Thor was stunned. He hadn't expected his vision to reveal an unknown sibling.

"Yes," Frigga continued. "Before you and Loki, there was Hela—your father's pride, my pride, and Asgard's. She was our first child. Brave and fearless, she wielded immense power and helped your father conquer the Nine Realms with iron and blood. She was Asgard's executioner and the first wielder of Mjolnir."

Thor's eyes widened.

"After the Nine Realms were subdued, your father realized that war only brought endless suffering. He sought to rule through wisdom and peace instead. But Hela... she did not share his vision. Her ambition was boundless, and she relished battle. Eventually, she defied Odin."

Frigga's voice grew heavier as she continued.

"Your father sent the Valkyrie to stop her, but she slaughtered nearly all of them. In the end, Odin was forced to strip her of her divine power and imprison her in Hel. There, she has remained ever since, bound by his seal."

Thor listened intently, his frown deepening.

A sister he had never met... and yet, she sounded eerily similar to himself. Ambitious, powerful, and once believing that strength alone could maintain peace.

His time on Earth had taught him otherwise. He had come to understand the weight of war—the pain, the loss, the families torn apart. He had learned that true peace was not won through bloodshed alone.

His mind drifted back to his dream.

"I saw the corpses of the Nine Realms strewn across the battlefield. She stood before raging flames. Countless people knelt at her feet... and Loki stood beside her. Mother, this is a disaster—one as great as Ragnarok itself."

Frigga's frown deepened. "That should be impossible. Your father sealed her away in Hel. As long as he lives, no one can break that seal."

"Unless..." 𝒏𝒐𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢

Thor trailed off, but Frigga understood.

"Unless something happens to your father," she whispered.

Thor's jaw tightened. "If something unexpected were to befall Odin, then she could return."

"No... it won't happen," Frigga refuted immediately. "Your father is still in Asgard. Though he is in his Odinsleep, any threat would awaken him. No one in the universe would be foolish enough to attempt to assassinate him now."

A pause. Then, softer:

"At least, no one should be."
