Chapter 319 - 308
Blast away this idiot, Thor.
Leon didn't bother worrying about what Thor would do next. As long as the guy wasn't completely stupid and realized that Leon was telling the truth, he'd head straight to the underworld of Helheim to cause trouble for Loki and Hela.
But this time, Thor was bound to suffer a major loss.
Although Odin had imprisoned Hela in Helheim, that didn't mean she had lost all her power. She simply couldn't leave, but within her domain, she could still wield immense strength. However, completely trapping Thor? That was unlikely.
Thor wasn't as reckless as before. After everything he'd been through, he'd learned to be more cunning. And with Heimdall keeping an eye on him at all times, he'd probably flee the moment things turned south.
Leon lounged on a beach chair, sipping wine as he prepared to watch Natasha and the others deal with matters in Hell in real time.
Suddenly, Wanda's voice rang in his ears.
"Leon~~~"
Turning around, he saw a portal appear nearby. Wanda ran through it, wearing a small T-shirt, shorts, and thick-soled slippers, clutching something in her arms.
A red cloak.
Leon could immediately sense an incredible power within it.
"Look, Leon!!"
Wanda rushed to his side, dismissing the maids' greetings with a wave of her hand. She excitedly grabbed the edges of the cloak and held it up for him to see.
Leon's eyes flickered slightly as he observed the cloak.
Intricate, exquisite patterns were engraved into the fabric—not overly complex, yet beautiful in their simplicity. Most importantly, these patterns were formed from rune characters.
They symbolized flight and defense, infused with the power of the storm.
"Wow, honey, congratulations on your success."
Leon feigned surprise, though in truth, he wasn't shocked at all. With Wanda's talent, learning rune script was hardly difficult. In fact, if she hadn't been distracted with other projects, she probably would've mastered it long ago.
Of course, a girl like her still needed some praise now and then—it made her happy.
And sure enough, Leon's compliment brought a sweet smile to Wanda's delicate face.
She tossed the cloak aside, letting it float in midair, before landing straight into Leon's arms. As she nestled against him, she arched a brow knowingly.
"Did Thor come by just now?"
"Yeah, he came asking for help, so I kicked him back."
"Haha! I wish I'd seen his face when that happened!" Wanda burst into laughter, imagining the mighty Thor getting booted out like a fool.
Leon wrapped an arm around her slender waist, resting his chin on her shoulder as he observed the floating cloak.
"Wanda, you're amazing."
"Thank you~~~"
She beamed and, pretending to be elegant, gave a graceful curtsy—before immediately abandoning the act to plant a big kiss on his lips.
Behind them, the maids tactfully averted their gazes, their expressions unreadable.
"Rune writing is truly remarkable," Wanda mused, her eyes gleaming with newfound understanding. "It's one of the greatest sources of magic. By arranging these symbols in different combinations, they form circuit-like matrices, allowing them to store, absorb, and release various energies. This is one of Asgard's deepest secrets."
As the wielder of Chaos Magic, Wanda's magical talent was undeniable. But after receiving the super soldier serum, her cognitive abilities had surpassed even the most advanced supercomputers.
The human brain, in its natural state, was only partially developed—a vast portion of its potential remained sealed away. Scientists theorized that if this "God's Forbidden Zone" were fully unlocked, the human mind would enter an extraordinary state beyond current comprehension.
Leon had already confirmed this hypothesis.
Using Tianren No. 7's advanced scanning technology, he had thoroughly analyzed the brains of himself, Natasha, and others. The data proved that the human mind possessed an unimaginable level of complexity.
This was one of the reasons demons found human souls so enticing.
The brain, the mind, and the soul were all deeply intertwined.
Of course, even if someone managed to unlock this forbidden potential, they would need an immense energy supply to sustain it. Otherwise, they would burn out instantly.
Wanda, however, met all the necessary conditions.
The combination of her Chaos Magic and her enhanced intelligence made her talent absolutely terrifying.
As a result, she could grasp any subject in an instant—rune script was no exception.
She had mastered rune characters so quickly that she was already applying them to create her own magical equipment.
The Destroyer. The Eternal Spear, Gungnir. Weapons on the level of Mjolnir.
At this rate, Leon wouldn't even need those artifacts anymore.
But others would.
Natasha. The female warriors of the Sword of Tiamat Legion. Soon, they would each wield an Eternal Spear of their own.
An entire army armed with divine weapons.
Just thinking about it, Leon could already envision how terrifyingly powerful his forces would become.
And in the future, when he established his own nation, rune script would be a crucial part of it.
Take the Rainbow Bridge, for example—a national symbol, and the most essential transportation network between realms.
Leon chuckled and pulled Wanda closer.
"Then you better study hard, my future Minister of Scientific Research."
Wanda grinned proudly, her crimson eyes gleaming with mischief.
"I'll handle all your equipment from now on."
