Chapter 181: Torturing Lupe

Isleen didn’t seem keen on taking Fergus seriously, as usual. Even when he’d been disguised as Liam, she ignored all his slip-ups and clues of his true nature, taking it as just the actions of a child. Her undying trust in people would be her downfall.

Fergus realized that Kylo wasn’t with Isleen, but that wouldn’t be a problem. Everything was going smoothly so far, just as it’d always been.

Isleen and Fergus had a little more back-and-forth throwing of words, Fergus doing an excellent job mimicking Cullen’s mannerisms.

Soon, however, Lupe also rushed down the stairs, looking flushed and too suspicious for Fergus’s liking. He spotted the growing suspicion in Isleen’s gaze, her eyes moving from him to Lupe. But eventually, she let it go, not asking any questions.

Perfecto.

Fergus couldn’t help grinning to himself. He’d slept with Isleen’s friend and got away with it. And soon enough, the girl would be tomorrow’s story.

Now, Fergus had one more goal for today. He needed to rebuild the trust between ’Cullen’– AKA himself – and Isleen, which he was sure had been demolished after the foolish Cullen went after his so-called friend’s ex behind her back.

The more he thought about it, the more he despised the wolves for pretending to be holier than vampires when they were just as capable of committing various atrocities. Fergus believed every race on the planet– from the greedy uninteresting humans to the angelic holy fey– were capable of giving in to the darkness inside them. They just needed a little push...a little nudge to show them the other side of the black-and-white lines in their minds.

He had seen it firsthand during his centuries of frolicking and blending in with every race, supernatural and human.

Lupe asked Isleen how the search for Liam went, and the latter only sighed, saying the Gamma had promised to find him. Fergus sniggered to himself.

These poor fools. Liam was gone. Forever. It was becoming harder for Fergus to keep that information to himself, instead of rubbing it on their faces. He could only imagine their reactions when they finally found out. When he finally revealed his true nature.

After much consideration, Fergus decided to tease knowing about Isleen’s forbidden romance with her ’mate’. He didn’t exactly say it was Rhett, but the fact that he knew something was enough to make Isleen panic and almost reveal his identity.

It was something Fergus had known for a while, but Cullen on the other hand, was outside the loop. Which made Isleen’s shock of him knowing valid.

Fergus wanted Isleen to confide in him about her relationship. It was all a part of his plan...

Eventually, Isleen got a call after Fergus promised to cook something with Lupe. Even though he was in the kitchen, he was able to pick up some parts of the conversation from the call.

Oh la, la.

It seemed Isleen was going out to see her mate. The girl had actually taken his advice. After taking the call, Isleen went upstairs, preparing to have her bath.

With Isleen gone, Fergus turned his attention to someone else. He watched Lupe quietly dicing the meat, watching as she cut some and then poured them into a pot.

She struggled to avoid his gaze, Fergus noticed. But when she had her back turned to him, he rushed to her, holding her from behind. Lupe gasped, before grumbling with frustration.

"Cullen, what the heck do you want from me?" Lupe’s voice came out like she was struggling hard to keep something at bay. Her feelings perhaps?

The poor little wolf had let herself lose and tasted of Fergus’s forbidden fruit. She was disappointed, probably heartbroken by her mate who clearly couldn’t provide her the emotional and physical pleasure she so needed. Fergus had given her a dose of that pleasure she craved, leaving her wanting.

She never rejected his advances. Never rejected him whenever he did something like this.

He had his arms wrapped around her small waist, resisting the urge to just dip his fangs into her neck and drain her. He’d eaten Cullen’s lovesick fling not too long ago, and also Cullen himself, so he was full for today. He was, however, in the mood for a little mischief.

Fergus used his hands to slowly roam down Lupe’s back, causing her to moan softly with pleasure. She arched her neck, almost like she was inviting Fergus to sink his fangs into her.

If only she knew what he truly was, she wouldn’t have dared anything she was doing right now.

"Oh, Lupe," Fergus muttered softly, his voice carrying a hidden murderous intent. "If only you knew how vulnerable you are. Don’t make the mistake of resisting. You can’t. I will not tolerate it, and your time is limited."

He didn’t mince his words, as he heard Lupe’s heartbeat increase rapidly in response to what he said. She was surprised, frightened even.

She struggled to get out of his hold, but like a few times before, it was no use. So, she could only heave heavily, trying to catch her breath, her voice shaking with trepidation and a hint of despondency that made Fergus grin coldly.

"Wh–what has gotten into you? What– what are you?" She asked with a suspicious voice, her tone laced with uncertainty.

Hehe, took her long enough.

Fergus loved every minute of this interaction. The psychological torture he was inflicting on Lupe was thrilling, making him feel a high that drove him to do more. He wasn’t planning on killing her yet, so why not break her mentally first?

He could always divert her suspicions with more lies and his charm anyway.

Fergus spun Lupe around to face him and then lifted her chin slowly. He looked into her eyes, reveling in the fear and hesitation within. But within those sinful little eyes was an undeniable and not-so-well-hidden desire. A desire that Lupe had left dormant all her life.

The pack’s devotion to the moon goddess and her laws made them hide their true desires, especially in the aspect of finding relationships outside their mate bond. It left quite a lot of them unsatisfied, especially if their mates were assholes like Lupe’s.

"I am, what you perceive me as at the moment, my dear Lupe." Fergus finally replied to her question vaguely, an icy smirk on his face.
