Chapter 101: 101, Bastard (First Update) _1
“Bastard!” Old Master An was enraged, shouting angrily.
He had the audacity to install a pinhole camera.
He must really have guts of steel to do such a thing.
“Master, please calm down, take care of your health.” Uncle Qiu quickly held onto Old Master An, his voice soothing. He knew that Xiang Cheng had thoroughly angered the Old Master this time.
Master An brushed off Uncle Qiu’s hand, glowering at Xiang Cheng, “You unforgivable brute, who taught you to do such despicable and vulgar things?”
“Grandfather, I didn’t do it. It was Jian Qing, she holds a grudge against me, and she purposely set me up.” Xiang Cheng frantically shook his head, adamantly denying, “You must see through her lies, don’t believe her one-sided accusations.”
Old Master An’s eyes flashed with disappointment and anger, he raised his walking stick, aiming it furiously at Xiang Cheng’s back.
“You still won’t admit your wrong even now.”
“Thud–”
“Hiss–”
Old Master An did not hold back; the rosewood stick heavily landed on his back. Xiang Cheng couldn’t help but gasp, let out a muffled groan.
As the pain from his back spread, Xiang Cheng’s face turned ghastly pale and beads of sweat dripped down his forehead.
Xiang Cheng’s lips trembled from the pain, his eyes, bloodshot, stared at Old Master An, “I…I told you, I…did not…”
Old Master An’s sharp eyes suddenly darkened, and he raised his cane once again, ready to strike Xiang Cheng’s back.
“You keep lying; I would rather beat you to death, you shameless creature.”
“Master.” Uncle Qiu quickly stopped him.
Another hit like that, and Xiang Cheng might end up half-dead.
Despite being old, Master An’s anger was raging, and his body was not keeping up; he was gasping for air. 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝑝𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮
“Aqiu, don’t… don’t stop me.”
“Master An, please calm down,” Master Quan chimed in, aiding Uncle Qiu in supporting Old Master An.
When Master An was this angry, no one could control him. Brushing them off, he staggered over to Xiang Cheng and thrust his cane into the air with effort.
Everyone had never seen Old Master An this angry. They reflexively closed their eyes as they saw the cane whirling in the air.
Xiang Cheng’s face was ashen, and the guards restrained him. Unable to move, he watched the attacking cane, holding his breath, and instinctively closed his eyes.
The expected pain never came. Xiang Cheng opened his eyes, his gaze shifting upwards, and he was momentarily stunned when he saw the person blocking the cane.
“Miss Qing, why are you stopping me?” Seeing Jian Qing, Old Master An restrained his anger, his voice softening slightly.
Jian Qing released the cane and supported Old Master An, the corner of her lips curving into a smile, “I can handle this matter myself. It’s not worth hurting your health over such a man.”
At her words, Old Master An cooled down, allowing her to lead him.
“Uncle Qiu, get some tea for the Master.” Jian Qing helped Old Master An sit down and looked up at Uncle Qiu to give the command.
“Yes.” Uncle Qiu responded.
“Miss Qing, I…” Old Master An looked at Jian Qing a little awkwardly, the events were partly due to his negligence.
If Xiang Cheng had indeed succeeded, he could hardly dare to imagine the consequences. The An family owed her too much already. If something like this were to happen again, he didn’t know how he could face her.
Jian Qing shook her head, interrupting him, “This doesn’t concern you, and there’s no need to feel guilty. We agreed in the study room earlier, I’ve ordered to have the room on the fourth floor demolished. You shouldn’t have any objections, right?”
Old Master An waved his hand, “Do as you please.”
Jian Qing arched her brow, “I hope you won’t interfere with what I’m going to do next.”
