Chapter 103: 103, Teach him the principles of being a human (Third Watch) _1

At this moment, the noise from above gradually subsided, and soon, three men dressed in black descended from upstairs.

“Miss Jian, as per your orders, that room has been completely trashed.” The man leading the trio informed her.

Jian Qing nodded lightly, then turned to the burly man in black who was gripping Xiang Cheng, “Release him.”

“Yes.” The man in black immediately let go, and Xiang Cheng, in agony, fainted, collapsing limply onto the ground. His clothes were soaking wet with cold sweat, and he appeared as if he had just been fished out of water.

The scene was incredibly pathetic.

A rapid rush of footsteps echoed from outside, causing Jian Qing’s eyebrows to raise slightly as a flicker of triumph coursed through her gaze.

“Chengcheng, Chengcheng.”

The voice arrived before the person did.

An Man rushed in, her neatly combed hair slightly disheveled, her hands shoving aside the servants obstructing her path, her face marked with urgency.

An Rong was also with her, the two of them had been having a leisurely time shopping when An Yu called to report that something was happening with Xiang Cheng at the mansion. On hearing this, An Man had no mind for shopping anymore and they rushed back without delay.

The moment An Man and An Rong stepped into the living room, they sensed an unusual silence. An Man’s heart was solely focused on her son at that moment. Without even stopping to greet her father-in-law, her eyes scanned the living room till they landed on the figure sprawled on the ground, her pupils contracting slightly.

In her haste, An Man clumsily approached Xiang Cheng, squatting down beside him and placing a shaky hand near his nose.

Feeling the faint breath, her ashen face visibly relaxed.

Thankfully, her Chengcheng was still alive.

Glancing at the body sprawled on the floor, An Rong turned to see her father-in-law sitting on the sofa, questions filling her mind. She sidestepped toward her daughter.

Upon seeing her mother, Yang Xiang took refuge behind her as if she had found a reliable shelter which left An Rong completely puzzled.

Anticipating that her mother might create a scene in a moment, Yang Lin rushed to explain the situation to her.

After hearing her daughter, An Rong looked at Jian Qing with a peculiar expression, her gaze flickering toward her father-in-law’s still austere visage before she decided to hold her tongue.

“What happened here?” An Man steadied her emotions, rose and furiously pointed at Jian Qing, “Jian Qing, did you do this?”

“I did, so what?” Jian Qing retorted nonchalantly, an ironic smile playing on her lips, “Your son is too stupid. I merely gave him a lesson in being human. You don’t need to thank me too profusely.” 𝖓𝔬𝔳𝔭𝖚𝖇.𝔠𝔬𝖒

An Man’s face twisted with anger, “What do you mean by that?”

With a light chuckle, Jian Qing moved closer to her, “It means I’ve made sure that your son’s other hand is also useless. Good things come in pairs, do you understand?”

Extraordinarily arrogant.

An Man quivered with rage and her heavily made-up face seethed with offense. Through gritted teeth, she hissed, “Jian Qing, don’t overstep.”

With a sneer, a chilling look crossed Jian Qing’s eyes. She leaned in close to whisper something only meant for An Man, “You should have been prepared for me settling the score from seventeen years ago, since you were there after all. I remember it.”

At her words, An Man froze, her eyes widened.

“You…”

In reply, Jian Qing straightened up, bypassed her, and walked directly to Grandpa An, “Grandpa An, I won’t be returning for a few days until the room upstairs goes under renovation.”

“But…” Grandpa An felt disappointed. He didn’t want Jian Qing to leave so soon after coming back.

Jian Qing smiled wanly, “I’ll come and have tea with you when I have some time.”

“You mean it?” A spark lit up Grandpa An’s eyes.

Jian Qing nodded, turning her gaze toward Qiu Bo, “Qiu Bo, I’ll leave the room upstairs to you.”

Qiu Bo shook his head, “No trouble.”

“Then I’ll be going now.” Jian Qing bid goodbye to Grandpa An, “Your health isn’t good, so try not to get upset. Let Qiu Bo assist you in taking a rest.”

Jian Qing’s words successfully dissipated the gloom from Grandpa An’s face who nodded with a grandfatherly grace, “Alright.”

As soon as she left, the four men in black followed her out, and the tense atmosphere in the living room eased a bit.

“Zhen Guo, sorry for the disturbance today. We can finish that chess game another time.” Then Grandpa An turned to Zhen Guo apologetically.

Zhen Guo waved it off, his robust voice was full of vigor, “It’s nothing. I’m taking leave for today, I’ll come by another day for tea and chess.”

His visit today was far from wasted as he wouldn’t have been able to witness the cool side of his future granddaughter-in-law otherwise.

“Hmm.” Grandpa An nodded with a smile.

After seeing off Zhen Guo, Grandpa An lost interest in staying in the living room and let Qiu Bo support him back to the study.
