Chapter 212: 212, He’s That Good (3)_1
Throughout the journey, Jian Luo gazed at the scenery outside the window, instantly feeling a sense of nostalgia.
“Sis, did you find that thing?” he suddenly asked.
“No, I searched all over An Chong’s study room, but I couldn’t find it,” Jian Qing tightened her grip on the steering wheel and responded softly.
Initially, the primary reason she agreed to move into the An Family mansion was because of this. However, she did not expect that after almost flipping the mansion upside down, she would still be unable to find that thing.
“How could this happen?” Jian Luo furrowed his brow.
“Don’t worry, if we can’t find it now, we’ll keep looking until we do.” Jian Qing reassured him gently.
Jian Luo nodded and glanced at her, seemingly wanting to say something but hesitating.
As Jian Qing stopped at a red light, she said, “Luoluo, if you have something to say, just say it.”
“Sis, how is he?” Jian Luo asked with some difficulty.
Ever since they were old enough to remember, Mr. An treated both of them kindly. If it were not for that incident, perhaps they would regard him as their own grandpa.
Jian Qing’s expression remained unchanged. After a moment, she replied, “He’s still strong and healthy.”
Upon hearing this, Jian Luo fell silent.
Jian Qing glanced at him, gave him a soft smile, and started the car.
As they were about to reach Shijin Haoting, Jian Luo looked back and smirked, “Sis, it seems like we have some rats secretly tailing us.”
They have followed us all the way from the airport, what a tough job for them.
“Let them follow if they insist, the An Family will sooner or later know about your return to Beijing anyway.”
Upon seeing Jian Qing’s car, the security guards let them through without questioning.
Once she entered Shijin Haoting, those rats couldn’t tail them even if they wanted to.
“Sis, have you become a celebrity in Beijing? Will there be news about us tomorrow?” With a mischievous grin in his eyes, Jian Luo teased, “Maybe I could leech off your fame and become a superstar.”
“Dumbass!” Jian Qing parked the car, knocked on his head, undid her seat belt, and got off the car.
“Get out of the car.”
Jian Luo pouted, got out of the car, grabbed his suitcase, and followed Jian Qing inside.
“Awoo—”
The moment he stepped into the living room, he heard an echoing howl, which instantly made him feel like he had entered a wolf’s den.
Taking off her shoes, Jian Qing laughed and said, “What are you standing at the door for? Come in.”
“Sis, did you get a pet wolf?” Jian Luo eyed the giant beast charging towards them. Its pure white fur could not be more conspicuous.
“I didn’t get it.” After rummaging through the shoe cabinet, Jian Qing frustratingly realized that there were no slippers left besides hers and Xiaojing’s.
“Uh, Luoluo, wear these.” Having no other choice, she handed Quan Jingwu’s slippers to him, then turned around to block the incoming Snowball.
“Snowball, this is my little brother,” Jian Qing crouched down, caressed Snowball, and spoke softly.
Smelling the scent of a stranger would naturally make Snowball excited.
Snowball stared attentively at Jian Lu, eyes full of heightened alertness.
The beauty’s little brother?
Jian Luo removed his sunglasses, revealing a face similar to Jian Qing’s. He bent down and waived softly at Snowball.
“Hello, Snowball, I’m Jian Luo.”
His attention was caught by the strip of red fur on top of Snowball’s head, and he asked curiously, “Sis, is Snowball a purebred Wolf King?”
“Yes,” Jian Qing nodded in affirmation.
Jian Luo took off his shoes and was just about to put on the slippers when Snowball suddenly howled.
Those are master’s shoes, my master’s!
Upon noticing Snowball’s gaze fixed on the slippers in Jian Luo’s hands, Jian Qing instantly felt embarrassed and wondered how she ought to handle the situation.
Before she could come up with a solution, Jian Luo’s voice faintly sounded, “Sis, these slippers don’t seem to be my size, do they?”
That’s why he found it strange. He hadn’t informed her about his visit to Beijing today. So how come, by sheer coincidence, a pair of men’s slippers were present? It was even apparent that the slippers weren’t newly unwrapped.
Could it be…
“Luoluo, let me explain first,” Jian Qing felt a headache brewing as she pondered over how to explain the situation.
Jian Luo discerned her dilemma, and after tossing the slippers aside, he directly entered the house barefoot.
He would not wear his slippers.
“Sis, I’m going to take a shower and cool down. We can talk more about this later.”
Good for you, Quan Jingwu, it seems like you often come here.
Absolutely outrageous! 𝘯𝑜𝑣𝑝𝑢𝘣.𝑐𝑜𝑚
About to ascend the stairs, Jian Luo remembered that he left his suitcase downstairs. He turned around, picked up his suitcase, and went upstairs.
“Sis, which room is mine?”
His voice echoed from upstairs, Jian Qing helplessly scratched her head.
“The first one on the right.”
She lowered her gaze to see Snowball lying next to her feet and sighed. It seemed like peace wouldn’t be returning to the house that day.
Picking up her mobile, she ordered takeout, then finally nestled into the sofa, pondering how she was going to explain the situation later.
After taking a shower, Jian Luo, wearing a loose housecoat, descended the staircase only to see Snowball crouching menacingly at the foot of the stairs.
Barefoot, he casually strolled past it, glanced at the living room, and noticed his sister was not there.
Suddenly, he heard noises coming from the kitchen which made him extremely uneasy.
“Sis, what are you doing?”
I hope she isn’t cooking. I just arrived in Beijing and have no intention of visiting the hospital.
Entering the dining room, he noticed her unpacking takeout containers and finally sighed with relief.
“What were you thinking? Do you believe I can cook?” Jian Qing saw right through his worries and sent an irritated glance his way.
Jian Luo coughed lightly, “Wasn’t I just afraid you might act rash.”
“Say that again, Luoluo,” Jian Qing put down her chopsticks and looked at him with an amused expression.
Knowing the current state of affairs, Jian Luo quickly shook his head, “No, it’s nothing. I didn’t say anything.”
As soon as Jiang Luo sat down, he saw Snowball, the wolf, who had just entered the dining room. “Sis, who does this snow wolf belong to?”
“Um…” Jian Qing paused, her hand still holding the chopsticks.
“Don’t tell me… it belongs to that Quan Jingwu.” Jian Luo leaned against his chair, propping his chin on his hand.
Jian Qing lightly nodded, “Yes, it’s his.”
Jian Luo’s eyes became dangerous slits, “Sis, please don’t tell me… he’s living here too.”
“Yes,” she nodded again.
Jian Luo almost choked. He felt like his anger was going to explode any second.
Living together?
The man dared to cohabitate with his elder sister while he had no idea?
“Luoluo, calm down first,” sensing his anger, Jian Qing quickly handed him a glass of water.
Jian Luo took the glass and downed the water in one gulp.
This irked him so much. Had he known, he would have brought Grandpa along.
Setting down the glass, Jian Luo regained his composure slightly and looked at her. “Sis, I have a question. Is he really that good?”
He knew well how guarded his elder sister was. Outside of Black Jack and his crew, who grew up with them, it was not easy for others to get close to her. What on earth was so extraordinary about Quan Jingwu?
