Chapter 253: 253, The Fool Says She Misses You (2)_1

“Please help me hold her, I will disinfect her wound and apply the ointment.” The female doctor spoke, not daring to meet Quan Jingwu’s gaze. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓹𝓾𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂

Quan Jingwu took Jian Qing’s wrist, the female doctor quickly took a cotton swab and antiseptic to cleanse her wound.

The disinfectant stung the wound. Throughout the entire process, Jian Qing just frowned slightly without uttering a sound of pain. The sight left the female doctor in awe.

Turns out a beautiful girl could also be so tough!

The white ointment emitted a faint medicinal smell. The female doctor applied it to Jian Qing’s wound and finally stood up.

“Apply this ointment three times a day and remember not to let it get wet in the next few days,” she instructed before placing the ointment on the bedside table.

“Can this ointment be used on bruises as well?” Quan Jingwu asked, his cold eyes falling on Jian Qing’s face.

The doctor was momentarily taken aback before realizing that the question was directed at her.

“Yes, it can be used for that,” she replied.

Having no further business there, Shen Hao took the female doctor and left.

After they left and with the door closed, Quan Jingwu lifted the quilt, picked up the ointment, and applied it to Jian Qing’s bruised knee.

Only he could bear witness to his treasured one in a state of vulnerability, no one else was allowed, not even another woman.

Her fair knee was covered in bruises and swelled red. As his fingertips traced the injuries, he wished all her pain would transfer to him.

After tending to Jian Qing, Quan Jingwu headed toward the bathroom to clean himself up.

Ten minutes later, he came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, holding a hairdryer in his hand.

Pulling the covers back, he sat on the bed, extended a well-defined arm and held the sleeping girl in his embrace.

He plugged in the hairdryer, his other arm around her, letting her rest against his chest while he dried her hair.

His skills in hair drying had undoubtedly improved since he met her.

The sound of the hairdryer resonated in the resting room, combined with the soft light reflecting on the bed, brought warmth into the room.

“Xiaojing!” Suddenly, a murmuring voice called out from the girl in his arms, reaching his ears.

He turned off the hairdryer, looked at her and instantly, the coldness in his eyes melted, his crimson lips met hers.

This kiss was not passionate nor lingering, but it carried a unique gentleness and adoration that he solely reserved for her.

To have her was his good fortune.

To love her was his blessing.

From the moment he saw her through the rain, he knew —

For the rest of his life, nothing or no one could be more important to him than her!

The accident occurred when the plane was near Beijing. Jian Qing could not escape fever’s grasp.

She had been working non-stop for several days in M Country, rushed to J City without eating for two straight days, and had been toiling, sleepless on the debris. Adding to the fact that she was soaked in the rain today, even the sturdiest body wouldn’t be able to withstand this torment.

Despite the presence of a doctor, they didn’t have any fluid or other necessary medications. They could merely give Jian Qing a few fever reducer tablets but they were ineffective, her fever remained high.

“How is she?” Qiao Yu asked Shen Hao after his phone call.

Shen Hao answered, “Fu Heng has gone ahead to Shijin Haoting.”

Quan Jingwu changed Jian Qing into his shirt which was too large for her small frame. Holding her in his arms, they left the resting room, which immediately caught the attention of Shen Hao and the others.

“Boss!” Shen Hao walked over, seeing the abnormal flush on Jian Qing’s cheeks, his heart sank.

Quan Jingwu sat down with Jian Qing in his arms, took the blanket from Shen Hao, and covered her with it.

The plane landed on the open ground of Shijin Haoting where Fu Heng was already waiting with a car.

The large area of Shijin Haoting would require a half-hour walk going back. With Jian Qing’s high fever, they couldn’t afford to waste a second.

“Boss, over here.”

Fu Heng rolled down the car window, and waved at them.

Shen Hao walked over and opened the car door, Quan Jingwu got in the car, still holding Jian Qing. Their actions were smooth and swift.

Upon returning home, Quan Jingwu carried Jian Qing upstairs with Fu Heng following closely behind.

It was only after he gave Jian Qing an IV and an injection that Fu Heng finally left.

An hour later, Jian Qing’s fever slightly subsided. Fu Heng and Shen Hao then took their leave.

For the entire night, Quan Jingwu stayed by her bedside, not daring to close his eyes.

Luckily, her fever had subsided by morning.

However, she remained asleep.

Having been without rest for a long time, Jian Qing slept until noon.

Upon waking, she found her mind in a muddle.

She raised her hand to rub her brow, opened her eyes slowly, and scan the room.

She saw the familiar room decor and furnishings but couldn’t find the familiar figure.

Was all that happened yesterday a dream?

She threw off the covers and abruptly stood up, almost losing her balance.

Barefoot, she hurried downstairs, the living room was empty.

Suddenly, she heard a noise from the kitchen. As she approached, a man emerged from it.

“Darling!”

Quan Jingwu rolled up his sleeves, he had been cooking in the kitchen. Seeing her awake, his purple eyes lit up.

The next second, he saw her bare feet, and his brows furrowed.

“Why did you come downstairs without wearing shoes?”

He walked towards her and lifted her into his arms.

She had lost quite a bit of weight!

Jian Qing leaned back to look at him, her hands encircling his neck, her head nuzzled against him, “Thank goodness, it wasn’t a dream!”

He had returned. Returned to her side!

At her words, he stiffened, sighing softly, “You silly girl!”

Jian Qing smiled, lifted her head to meet his brilliant purple eyes.

“This silly girl missed you, missed you a lot!”

Her soft murmur, laced with the hoarseness from the fever, resonated deeply within Quan Jingwu’s heart.

It hit in waves one after another, permeating the depth of his soul.

Quan Jingwu leaned down to kiss her lovely eyes, saying, “Darling, that won’t happen again!”

Jian Qing’s eyes softened as she rested against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. A sense of overwhelming security enveloped her once again.

She looked out the window, the cloudless sky was exceptionally clear.

She suddenly remembered a sentence—If you’re well, it’s a sunny day!

Quan Jingwu carried her to the sofa and carefully placed her down.

“Darling, wait here. I’m going to bring you something to eat,” he said.
