Chapter 359: 345, Grandpa Jing’s Domineering Counterattack (3)_1
Quan Jingwu frowned and stretched out his hand to grab the gorgeous bouquet of roses, then took over the bill, signing his name directly.
Next, he gave the bill back to the clerk who had delivered the flowers.
“You can leave now.”
The clerk almost knelt down in relief after completing his task.
Damn it, he was never going to deliver flowers to this place again.
This job required too much courage.
He admitted his cowardice, alright?
After taking back the bill, the clerk hastily left, running faster than a rabbit.
Jian Qing glanced at the man beside her and chuckled lightly, “Why keep them if you don’t like them?”
Quan Jingwu let go of his grip, and the beautifully wrapped roses fell to the ground.
His thin lips pursed slightly, and a trace of unhappiness flickered across his brow.
“I’ll be the one to accept roses in the future, you’re not allowed to.”
Boy, his jealousy was quite strong.
Jian Qing held his strong arm, her eyes alight with amusement, “Okay, all yours then.”
He looked down at her, bending his finger to tap her forehead lightly, “Always attracting unwanted admirers.”
Jian Qing’s mouth twitched. She thought to herself, he doesn’t lack admirers either.
Chu Ruohan hasn’t even left yet, and there’s also Song Xirou waiting in the wings.
“Let’s go.”
Quan Jingwu held her hand and stepped directly over the roses on the ground.
Jian Qing’s lips twitched involuntarily and she kept wisely silent.
If she ventured to say something at this point, the master would probably transform into a tyrant.
Along the way, Quan Jingwu made a call to Shen Hao, asking him to find out who sent the roses.
Jian Qing turned to look out the window, her mouth twitching with suppressed laughter.
Little Jing, jealous, was kind of adorable.
With a beautiful drift, the silver sports car stopped in front of the An Family mansion.
Jian Qing unbuckled her seat belt and leaned over to give him a kiss on his handsome profile.
“Work hard!” she teased.
Quan Jingwu’s cold eyes softened a bit. Just as he was about to reach out to grab her, Jian Qing had already pushed the car door open and got out.
He watched her enter the mansion before turning his gaze away.
Just as he was about to start the car, the phone rang.
He pushed the answer call button, and Shen Hao’s voice echoed in the car.
“Boss, we found out who sent the flowers, it’s Chu Yihen.”
His grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly at the words.
His eyes flashed with a chilling violence, and a frosty voice slipped from his lips, “Call the flower shop and order a wreath for Chu Yihen.”
If he dared to send roses to his woman, then Chu Yihen better be prepared to receive a wreath.
In the distance, Shen Hao held up his phone, the muscles at the corners of his mouth twitching incessantly.
Send a wreath to Chu Yihen?
Was his Boss always this ruthless?
Nevertheless, he dared not voice this out.
“I’ll handle it right away.”
Shortly after he hung up the call, Yi Kai and the others came over.
“What’s up? What did the Boss say?”
Shen Hao couldn’t suppress his smile, “Boss asked me to order a funeral wreath for Chu Yihen.”
“A funeral wreath?” Yi Kai was taken aback.
Seconds later, the office burst into laughter.
“Boss’s move is badass, brilliant.” Yi Kai doubled over with laughter, tears nearly spilling out.
Boss, please accept their admiration.
They’re truly convinced.
“Do you guys think, if Chu Yihen sees the wreath, will he faint from anger?” Mingdong added, taking joy in Chu Yihen’s misery.
Yi Kai huffed, “That’s what Chu Yihen gets for laying a hand on the missus, knowing full well she’s spoken for. Serves him right to be sent a wreath.”
This was a gentle move on their Boss’s part. If Chu Yihen didn’t take the hint, next time he might not just be sent a funeral wreath, but a coffin instead.
While they were chatting, Shen Hao had already called the flower shop, ordering a wreath to be sent to Chu Yihen’s company as per Quan Jingwu’s instruction.
…
An Family Mansion
This was the first time Jian Qing had returned to the mansion since the incident with An Man. Upon seeing Jian Qing, all the servants were extremely respectful, including those who usually tried to curry favor with Zhao Xuan; none of them dared to act presumptuously anymore.
As soon as she stepped into the living room, the chattering in the room abruptly ended.
The faces of Yang Xiang and others changed slightly, a hint of displeasure flashed in their eyes.
However, Jian Qing never took their attitudes to heart.
Noticing a gaze falling on her since her entrance, she raised an eyebrow and turned to look.
Unintentionally, she met a pair of cold eyes. 𝓃𝓸𝓋𝓅𝓾𝒷.𝒸ℴ𝓂
She was momentarily surprised. Wasn’t this the man she had met in the elevator yesterday?
Why was he here?
Before she could process her thoughts, the voice of Grandfather An reached her ears.
“Qing, come and sit here.”
Seeing where Grandfather An had pointed, the expressions of everyone present slightly changed.
Everyone’s reaction was caught by Jian Qing. The entire living room was empty except for Mo Xiao who occupied the entire sofa on his own, with no one seated next to him.
She calmly walked over and took the seat Grandfather An had pointed out.
“Jian Qing, that’s not your place.”
Just as she settled down, Zhou Qi spoke out in dissatisfaction.
Regardless, she was no longer willing to spare An Man. So why should she feign politeness to Zhou Qi?
Jian Qing appeared indifferent, seemingly ignoring Zhou Qi’s words entirely.
“There are plenty of seats on this couch.”
A low voice rang out, startling everyone.
Zhou Qi and others looked unbelievingly at Mo Xiao. It seemed they couldn’t believe that he had just spoken up for Jian Qing.
Ning Feng and Xing Sen lowered their heads, a hint of amusement flickered in their eyes.
It seemed that the master did have some different attitudes towards Jian Qing.
Seeing this, Grandfather An was the most pleased. He stroked his white beard while his eyes gleamed with satisfaction, staring at Mo Xiao.
Good, this was a good sign.
“Azhe, you…”
Zhou Qi stood up abruptly, her eyes wide in disbelief as she looked at Mo Xiao.
Jian Qing’s lips pressed together as she glanced out of the corner of her eye at the man not far from her.
Azhe?
Could it be that the man in front of her was the eldest son of the An family who was rarely seen in Beijing – An Zhe?
She looked him up and down discreetly and then looked at Grandfather An for a comparison. She could vaguely see some resemblance.
No wonder she thought he looked familiar when she saw him in the hospital yesterday.
Mo Xiao’s face remained indifferent, completely disregarding Zhou Qi’s tone of displeasure.
“Zhou Qi!” Grandfather An’s voice came out, his tone filled with warning.
Zhou Qi froze, An Rong quickly pulled her down to sit, whispering tight-lippedly, “Mom, don’t get agitated. Big Brother was only speaking up for Jian Qing because of Grandfather. Don’t mind it.”
Even though she herself didn’t seem to have much confidence in her own words.
