Chapter 387: 373, Not bought for Xiaojing (1)_1

“Mom, but…” An Rong stared at Jian Qing, her face full of resentment.

Zhou Qi leaned closer to her, lowered her voice and said, “Get out of here. Are you not listening to me anymore?”

An Rong gritted her teeth, stomping her foot in frustration.

Damn it!

She supported Zhou Qi, hiding the displeasure on her face, and put on an elder’s posture, “Jian Qing, your grandma is tolerant and forgiving. As the junior, you should be sensible. Outsiders won’t indulge you like your family does.”

[This girl looks as beautiful as a fairy, how could she do such a thing?]

[Exactly, she bumped into her own grandma and didn’t even offer a hand, not even an apology. It seems like being beautiful doesn’t mean good character.]

[If my child was disrespectful to their elders like this, I would definitely give them a beating, no discussion.]

The onlooking pedestrians whispered amongst themselves, a trace of blame in their eyes as they stared at Jian Qing.

Quan Yifei’s face darkened, she wished she could shut them all up with glue.

They knew nothing and just kept babbling nonsense, which really annoyed her.

Jian Qing seemed indifferent, “Yifei, let’s go.”

As she finished, she walked past An Rong, not sparing her even a glance.

Looking at her, she was like eye acid.

Quan Yifei gave An Rong a sarcastic look and followed her.

Not even two steps later, she turned back to An Rong, and said with a big fake smile, “I’ll tell Jingwu about everything that happened today—word for word. I hope you’ll be as pleased then as you are now.”

Her third brother?

Wasn’t that Quan Jingwu?

Thinking about this, An Rong’s face paled; her heart thumped.

Seeing the dramatic change on An Rong’s face, Quan Yifei felt thoroughly satisfied.

She caught up with Jian Qing, holding her hand, laughing cheerfully.

She kept laughing, while Jian Qing helplessly watched her.

“Are you that happy?”

Quan Yifei nodded vigorously, “Of course! Didn’t you see An Rong’s expression just now? It was priceless.

People like them deserve to be put in their place so they don’t go around biting people.”

With a mother like An Rong, it’s no wonder the Yang Lin sisters are like they are. They have truly learned from their mother.

With Quan Yifei around, there was little chance of getting lost in the shopping center.

The sixth floor was filled with high-end luxury brands, possibly because of the exorbitant prices, the whole floor was sparsely populated, a stark contrast to the crowded lower levels.

They randomly picked a shop and walked in. Quan Yifei stood before a rack, torn between choices. “Jian Qing, help me decide which of these two clothes is better. It’s my dad’s birthday in a few days, and I have no idea what to get him.”

Jian Qing turned her head and glanced at the two sweaters in Quan Yifei’s hands, “This one.”

“Then this one it is.”

Quan Yifei looked at the light grey sweater in her hand, satisfied. She then handed the sweater to a sales assistant nearby.

“Please wrap it up.”

Jian Qing looked around the shop, her eyes landed on a black coat on a mannequin nearby. She couldn’t help but see Mo Xiao in her mind’s eye.

Her eyes shimmered, she inexplicably went to check it out.

“Miss, hello, this is a new winter arrival at our store. We only have this one piece,” the sales assistant introduced in her sweet voice.

Jian Qing gently touched the coat, a faint smile hanging on her lips.

“Jian Qing, when did you come over here?” Quan Yifei asked, walking over with her shopping bags after settling her own purchases.

“Are you buying clothes for Jingwu? Then I’ll take you to another store.”

The menswear in this store was mostly targeted at older men like their father. Jingwu probably wasn’t there yet.

Jian Qing shook her head, “It’s not for Jingwu.”

“Huh?” Quan Yifei looked at her, puzzled.

Besides Jingwu, who else would Jian Qing buy clothes for?

Jian Qing glanced at the size of the clothes, estimating that it would probably fit.

“Please wrap this up for me.”

“Of course,” the sales assistant replied with a smile, and then took the coat to the counter.

Quan Yifei hadn’t known what was happening before she heard Jian Qing asking the sales assistant to wrap the clothes. Seeing her head to the counter to pay, she hastily followed.

“Jian Qing, who are you buying this for? Can you let me in on it?” She was really curious.

Jian Qing smiled faintly, “It’s a secret.”

People are always curious, especially women.

Quan Yifei was intrigued, trying hard to guess who might be the recipient of the coat.

Jian Qing was about to pay when she was taken aback by the sales assistant’s words.

“Miss, you don’t need to pay for this.”

“Hm?” Jian Qing raised her eyebrow in confusion.

Seeing Jian Qing’s puzzled look, the sales assistant said with a polite smile, “Our manager says all your purchases in this store are on the house.”

Quan Yifei stared blankly at Jian Qing, “Jian Qing, does a friend of yours own this store to?”

Ever since she saw Jian Qing use a limited edition Purple Gold Card from March Flag, she’s been unfazed by such scenarios.

“No,” Jian Qing shook her head.

Hearing this, Quan Yifei was stunned.

If not her friend, then who?

Jian Qing cast a glance at the now packaged coat and put her card back into her pocket. “I’m sorry, but I’ve changed my mind about the coat.”

The sales assistant looked at Jian Qing in confusion, unable to process this.

Who would reject such a great deal?

Before she had time to react, Jian Qing and Quan Yifei had already left.

Quan Yifei, holding her shopping bags, looked at Jian Qing next to her, puzzled. “Jian Qing, what just happened?”

“Nothing,” Jian Qing changed the subject, “Does March Flag have a store here?”

Seeing that she didn’t want to elaborate, Quan Yifei immediately dropped the topic, “Yes, I’ll take you there.”

As soon as they entered the store, the uniformed sales assistant greeted them with a smile.

“Welcome!”

Autumn had already passed, and the clothes in the store had been replaced with early winter styles.

Quan Yifei looked at the clothes on display, her eyes practically sparkling.

She had just seen these designs in a magazine two days prior, and she didn’t expect them to be on sale so soon.

Oh, they looked so good.

“Pick whatever you like.” Jian Qing glanced at her, a faint smile on her lips. “Jingwu is paying.”

Quan Yifei grinned mischievously, “Hehe, then I won’t be polite.”

If Jingwu was paying, then she’d just graciously accept.

Given how wealthy Jingwu was, this was just a way of supporting her—a poor commoner.

Jian Qing watched Quan Yifei excitedly choosing clothes and took a seat on a sofa.

She looked at her phone for a while, her gaze dimming slightly. She then turned off the phone and put it back in her pocket.

“Jian Qing, I’ve made my selections. Can you come over and give me some advice?”
