Chapter 392: 378, Year-end bonus fully deducted (3)_1
“Sweetie, saying one thing but meaning another isn’t a good habit.” Quan Jingwu looked at her blushing face and smiled contentedly.
Without waiting for her to respond, he directly reaches to unzip her jacket.
“Hey, I already said I’m not hot!” Jian Qing protected her intact sleeve to prevent him from succeeding.
“Dear, are you overthinking it? I just don’t want you to break out in a heat rash.” The man looked at her with an innocent face, cunning laughter sparkling in his eyes.
Jian Qing’s lips trembled slightly, “I don’t mind.”
She liked being all warm and cozy, so what?
“It’s unacceptable, it would hurt my heart.”
“Xiaojing, this is the office.”
The door is still open.
What if someone suddenly barges in?
Before she could even finish her sentence, footsteps were heard.
“Boss, the meeting…”
Shen Hao froze in place, his words stopping abruptly.
Jian Qing was embarrassed.
It was indeed a case of something bad happening just when you were afraid it would.
She bowed her head and buried it in his chest.
This was utterly humiliating.
Quan Jingwu lifted his hand to stroke the back of her head, his gaze on Shen Hao, his brow wrinkled displeasedly.
Feeling the deep malice his Boss held for him, Shen Hao felt his life force draining rapidly.
He didn’t mean to be a killjoy.
No one told him the lady was here.
If the door isn’t closed, can you blame him?
He coughed lightly, hiding the embarrassment on his face, “Boss, the meeting has started.”
“I know.”
Shen Hao touched his nose, then quickly exited the room.
Listening to the footsteps disappear, Jian Qing looked up from his chest, and pouted.
“It’s all your fault.”
“Yeah, it’s all my fault, I forgot to lock the door.” Quan Jingwu admitted sincerely. n𝚘𝚟𝚙u𝚋.co𝚖
Next time she comes, he would lock the door to avoid someone always interrupting his good times.
Upon hearing that, Jian Qing became even more flustered.
“Go to your meeting now.”
“Come with me.” He got up and pulled her up.
“Why would I need to go too?”
“Because you’re my wife.” He led her out of the room.
As soon as the two entered the meeting room, they immediately attracted much attention.
In the bright meeting room, a stern, oppressive coldness permeated the air. Apart from Shen Hao and a few others, there were also several company executives whom she never met.
Yi Kai saw Jian Qing and immediately understood Shen Hao’s dejected expression when he returned. It seemed that he had crossed paths with the Boss’s anger.
Both sides of the meeting table were filled with people except for the vacant seat of honor.
Quan Jingwu led her over. Looking at only one empty seat, Jian Qing regretted following him.
She discreetly tugged at his sleeve and whispered, “Xiaojing, maybe I should wait for you in the office instead.”
Quan Jingwu looked down at her. His thin lips curled into a smile. He sat down first and pulled her hand, causing Jian Qing to fall into his arms.
“Behave, without you around, I can’t concentrate on the meeting.” He whispered in her ear.
What a big responsibility he was putting on her.
She’d rather not take on this blame, thanks.
Seeing her not struggling, Quan Jingwu lifted his head to glance at everyone, his tone as cold as ever. “Do you not want to continue the meeting?”
Everyone shivered, shaking their heads.
Wow, the moon was still shining, but the Boss was back to his old self!
As rumored, only the Boss’s wife could enjoy his gentle side.
For those who weren’t in a relationship, best not look nor listen.
Shen Hao took the remote control, pressed the red button, and slowly closed the curtains of the meeting room. The room darkened.
Then, the large screen mounted on the wall brightened, a business proposal appeared on the screen.
The overwhelming amount of text and numbers were enough to make anyone’s head spin.
Mingdong stood up and explained the proposal calmly and methodically.
As soon as work was mentioned, the executives who were just curiously looking at Jian Qing quickly turned their attention to the screen, listening to Mingdong’s explanation while flipping through their briefing materials.
Quan Jingwu looked down at the woman in his arms, occasionally glancing at the screen, each time pointing out the flaws in the proposal with great precision.
Jian Qing played with the man’s strong hand, her gaze shifting to the images and notes popping up on the screen, her clear eyes filled with surprise.
Wasn’t that place…
She took a longer, closer look and finally confirmed the guess in her heart.
The screen was projecting a vast piece of deserted land. This block of land was one business opportunity that JK International had their eye on.
“You noticed?” The man’s charming voice echoed in her ear.
Jian Qing glanced at him, her red lips curving into a smile. “You want to collaborate, but you need to show sincerity.”
Unluckily, the owner of this land was her Jian Family.
She had just received word from the headquarters about an upcoming development project involving this piece of land. She hadn’t had the chance to thoroughly look into who the partners would be, and it turned out that JK International was one of them.
“Darling, I can’t let this opportunity fall into someone else’s hands.” He laughed quietly.
“That’s not necessarily the case,” Jian Qing said. “But if there’s no sincerity, we can forget about the collaboration.”
“I belong to you entirely, isn’t that sincere enough?”
Their voices were low, while the rest were staring ahead, listening to Mingdong’s explanation.
Jian Qing tilted her head and glared at him before sternly saying, “Stop whispering in my ear.”
This man was doing it on purpose, so petty.
“My dear Jian, how are you finding our proposal?”
That slight poke at her waist was meaningless to him.
It was good that the lights in the room were off, otherwise their little antics would be noticed.
“Quan Jingwu!” She growled in a low voice.
“Yes, I’m here.” He confirmed.
“Behave yourself, or forget about our business deal.” She threatened.
Quan Jingwu leaned into the nape of her neck, his chin resting on her shoulder, “If I can’t behave, we can just sign the cooperation case now.”
“Get lost!” She grabbed and twisted his hand.
Signing it now, that would only happen in his dreams.
Their voices were soft, but Mingdong who was closest to them heard everything.
The muscles at the corner of his eyes twitched, he wished he could plug his ears with headphones.
He was single, but that didn’t mean he needed to listen to them coo at each other.
To escape this lovey-dovey atmosphere, Mingdong spoke hurriedly. The executives, however, struggled to catch up.
Finally, the meeting was over.
Quan Jingwu’s cold eyes swept over everyone, “I expect to see a revised proposal on my desk in two days.”
“Yes.” Everyone answered in chorus.
They were doomed. This meant they had to work overtime again.
“If the other party isn’t satisfied with this collaboration proposal, your year-end bonuses will be canceled.” Quan Jingwu added ominously at the end.
