Chapter 473: 459, I have already given it (2)_1
Jian Luo looked into those blue eyes, the tenderness in them failing to warm him. Just thinking about how Black Jack used to look at Lis with those same eyes stirred up a distaste in him.
He shrugged it off and calmly said, “Black Jack, the answer you wanted before, I can give it to you now: we’re not a good match. From now on, it would be more suitable if we remained friends.”
He didn’t have the energy to watch Black Jack entangled with other women, nor did he want to get into a war of words with him. So being back to being friends would be more relaxing for everyone.
“What did you say?” The smile in Black Jack’s eyes disappeared as he asked through gritted teeth.
Was this his answer?
To hell with that.
He would not accept it.
“I’ve made myself very clear.” Jian Luo forced out, his tone becoming more distant.
Seeing him about to leave, Black Jack panicked. He grabbed Jian Luo’s wrist, pulling him towards him.
Caught off guard, Jian Luo’s forehead hit Black Jack’s chin. Before he even had time to express his pain, his light pink lips were already being captured by Black Jack’s hot ones.
Black Jack’s hand cradled the back of Jian Luo’s head, pulling him closer. As a form of punishment, he bit Jian Luo’s lips, the faint metallic taste of blood spreading between their lips.
How could he give him such an answer?
Wanting to draw a line between them was impossible.
Since he had appeared in Jian Luo’s life, it was already too late.
Jian Luo came back to his senses, his face darkened, and he pushed Black Jack away forcefully. He then grabbed his shirt collar and walked towards the sea.
“Black Jack, do you seriously think I’m that easy to bully? You tell me that you like me, and then you’re seen having dinner with another woman and even allow her to hug you. Now, you come to tell me it was all a misunderstanding, hoping I’ll just pretend nothing happened. Let me tell you, that’s not possible.” 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝑝𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮
He yelled as he pushed Black Jack into the sea.
The icy sea water splashed onto him, Black Jack stood there soaking wet, chuckled lightly, “Finally, you admit it, you’re jealous.”
Jian Luo just looked at him coldly, no mood to continue the argument.
“Whatever you want to believe is your business, don’t bother me again.”
This time, he didn’t give Black Jack the chance to hold him back. After his words, he ran up to the shore, heading straight for the parked car nearby.
“Jian Luo!”
Black Jack muttered a curse under his breath, and immediately chased after him.
Jian Luo got in the car, slammed the door, and left him with nothing but the car’s shadow.
They went back to the manor one after the other. When Jian Luo walked into the living room, Jian Qing and Bai Jue were talking. When they saw him enter drenched, they were taken aback.
“Jian Luo, did you go fishing in the sea?” Bai Jue asked in astonishment.
Jian Luo ignored him and headed straight upstairs.
Bai Jue glanced at Jian Qing instinctively, “So they haven’t made up yet?”
It seemed like Black Jack had made things even worse.
Jian Qing arched an eyebrow and looked towards the entrance.
The next second, Black Jack’s figure appeared at the door. Compared to Jian Luo, he looked even more disheveled, completely soaked.
“Did you two fall into the sea together?” Bai Jue teased.
Black Jack wore a stern expression, about to chase after Jian Luo upstairs.
Just as he reached the staircase, Jian Qing called out to him.
“Wait a minute.”
Black Jack turned to look at her, a sense of urgency in his eyes.
“Black Jack, grandpa and my father won’t be at the manor tonight, if there’s anything you need to talk about, wait until you’ve cleaned yourself up.” Jian Qing advised.
“But—” Black Jack hesitated.
“I’ll keep an eye on Luo Luo.” she assured.
Accepting her words, Black Jack complied.
He advised, “He’s been by the sea in the cold wind for too long, have someone prepare a bowl of ginger tea for him, I’m afraid he may catch a cold.”
Jian Qing nodded and Black Jack returned to his room here.
“Jian Qing, do you think Jian Luo will forgive Black Jack this time?” Bai Jue asked curiously.
Jian Luo seemed gentle and accommodating, but was really stubborn and difficult to appease when he gets truly angry.
“Take a guess.” Jian Qing put down her file and got up to walk to the kitchen.
Bai Jue, “…”
He wouldn’t guess, lest he ended up being the scapegoat again.
“Knock knock knock—”
The rhythmic knocking sound echoed in the hallway.
“Luo Luo, it’s me.”
As the words fell, the door of the room was opened.
Jian Qing looked at his pale face, her eyebrows furrowed.
“Luo Luo, what’s wrong?”
Jian Luo shook his head and stepped aside to let her in.
“Nothing much, probably just a bit of hypoglycemia.”
Jian Qing handed him the ginger tea she was holding, “Drink this now.”
He hadn’t eaten lunch or dinner, and had spent the afternoon by the sea, it was quite a feat.
Jian Luo quickly gulped down the ginger tea, making a face.
It tasted awful.
“Do you want some chocolate?” Jian Qing casually asked.
Jian Luo put down the bowl, his expression indifferent, “I don’t like chocolate anymore, don’t want to eat it in the future either.”
Jian Qing took a seat facing him and smiled cunningly, “Are you planning to quit chocolate, or are you planning to quit ‘someone’?”
Even though she had uncovered his thoughts, Jian Luo remained calm.
He reached for a towel, casually wiping his wet hair, “Either one would do.”
“Luo Luo, have you really decided not to give him a chance?” She asked.
Jian Luo paused in the midst of drying his hair, a shadow passing through his eyes.
After a long moment, he whispered, “I’ve already given him one.”
He had been waiting for Black Jack’s explanation for so many days. Not even a phone call had been made, and he didn’t want to wait anymore.
Jian Qing gave an understanding smile, “Alright, it’s your decision.”
She got up, went over to him, and playfully ruffled his messy hair, “Even if you’re upset, you have to eat. I’ll have someone prepare some food for you, okay?”
“Yeah.” He nodded.
Just as Jian Qing was about to go downstairs, she ran into Black Jack.
Obviously, he was here to see Jian Luo.
“Look for him later. He hasn’t eaten much today and has a bit of hypoglycemia. Let him eat first if you have something to talk about.” She whispered.
Black Jack looked at the closed door of the room, a flash of worry in his eyes. He then turned and followed Jian Qing down the stairs.
“Why did you two come down together? Where’s Jian Luo?” Bai Jue, who had been playing a game out of boredom, dropped it as soon as he saw Jian Qing and Black Jack coming down.
“Let him eat first.” Jian Qing said.
Bai Jue put down his phone, facing Black Jack, letting out the question he had been wondering, “Black Jack, what on earth have you been doing these past few days? And what’s the deal with you and Lis?”
Black Jack replied, “My mother came to M Country. I told her about me and Jian Luo. She said she would accept it only if I met Lis one more time and if it’s really not possible with her. She would then agree to me and Jian Luo.”
Jian Qing listened quietly, not being difficult to understand Black Jack’s mother’s feelings.
“I’ve already clarified with Lis, she’s also chosen to bless me and Jian Luo. My mother’s condition has been unstable these past few days, and I’ve been accompanying her. Today my mother went back to Y Country, so I rushed to find Jian Luo, wanting to explain everything to him.” He continued.
Bai Jue held his head, unable to wrap his head around all this.
“Forget it, listening to it gives me a headache. You guys figure it out yourselves.”
This was a real mess.
