Chapter 475: 461, Are you also letting me go? (2)_1

A shiver climbed up Bai Jue’s spine as he thought about something, and slowly turned around, meeting a pair of familiar blue eyes. He instantly felt a little intimidated.

“Eh, do you want to join us?”

Damn it, he was so engrossed in watching the show he forgot about his presence.

Black Jack held back the urge to pummel him, “Bai Jue, you’ll pay for this.”

After leaving a threatening message, he turned around, his body radiating chilliness, and headed towards Jian Luo, who was flirting with women nearby.

“Come with me.”

He reached out his arm, grabbing Jian Luo’s hand and pushing the woman in his arms away.

“Black Jack, if you don’t want to play anymore, you’re free to leave. Don’t ruin my date,” Jian Luo said in a calm manner, brushing his hand off.

Black Jack grabbed his wrist again, his tone unyielding as he said, “Like I said, come with me, or we’ll settle it right here.”

“Do you want me to push you into the pool again?” Jian Luo replied, looking at the clear pool with an unhurried tone.

“If that’s what it takes to cool you down, then you can push me as many times as you need.” Black Jack, pulling his hand, bumped straight into his chest.

As long as he could get his attention, even if it means getting beaten up, he wouldn’t fight back.

Jian Luo looked at the hand that was being forcibly held, and said in a calm manner, “Let go of me first, otherwise, there’s nothing to discuss.”

Hearing that, Black Jack reluctantly let go of his hand.

After a glance from Jian Luo, he stepped away from the open-air swimming pool, and Black Jack immediately followed him.

The women exchanged confused looks, completely baffled.

What the heck was happening?

Watching the two of them leave, Bai Jue cheerfully sent Luoxiaobai and the rest of the crowd away.

“That’s it, that’s it, there’s nothing for you here.”

It seemed like the two would reconcile soon.

“What a bummer!”

The women complained in low voices, looking resentful.

Jian Luo was already familiar with the layout of the club. He found an empty room, not caring whether the person behind him would follow him or not.

The footsteps behind him echoed, and then the door closed.

Black Jack watched Jian Luo’s silhouette against the window, his eyes hardening as he strode towards him.

Suddenly, Jian Luo turned around and his indifferent gaze fell on Black Jack.

“Speak what you have to from there.”

Seeing the emotional coldness in his eyes, Black Jack couldn’t help but frown.

“Jian Luo, Lis and I met the other day at my mother’s suggestion. I told my mother about our relationship. She said as long as I met with Lis for a meal, if I still didn’t like her afterwards, she wouldn’t oppose our relationship.”

Oh, so it was a blind date in disguise?

Listening, Jian Luo’s face remained unchanged, not uttering a word.

“There’s nothing between Lis and me. The day she hugged me was because I told her it was impossible between us. I was going to leave when she suddenly hugged me. She said the hug was a friendly one, and she already knew about you and me. She left for the Y country that night, wishing us the best,” explained Black Jack.

Jian Luo’s eyes showed a momentary ripple, which was soon quelled.

“Are you finished?”

Seeing Jian Luo’s impassive attitude, Black Jack felt both powerless and annoyed.

“Jian Luo, I know you’re angry at me for not explaining earlier. My mom has been sick and unstable for several days, and something came up in Y Country. I’ve been busy dealing with both, and I want to settle everything first before I can explain it to you.”

Saying this, he took a step forward, trying to grab Jian Luo’s hand.

Jian Luo stepped aside to avoid his hand.

“I understand.”

Black Jack couldn’t stand Jian Luo’s cold demeanor and couldn’t find his own reflection in Jian Luo’s eyes either.

Clasping Jian Luo’s shoulder, Black Jack pushed him against the wall.

“Jian Luo, you can hit me or beat me up, but please don’t be so cold towards me, alright?” He pleaded in a low voice.

Jian Luo’s coldness hurt him more than if he had been killed.

“Can we make up?”

“Black Jack, we’re not compatible,” said Jian Luo, lowering his head, his voice was barely audible.

There was nothing Black Jack hated to hear more than that. His mesmerizing blue eyes turned blood-shot as he stared at Jian Luo. “You said you wanted me to buy you chocolate for the rest of your life. Are you going back on your words just because of this?” he asked accusingly.

“I don’t want to eat chocolate anymore,” Jian Luo raised his head and met his gaze squarely, speaking unhurriedly.

“What about me?” Black Jack asked, his voice hoarse. “Do you not want me anymore?”

Seeing the hurt flashing in his eyes, Jian Luo hesitated to speak.

After a moment, he said, “Black Jack, you never discussed anything with me before doing it. You always believed that I needed to be protected behind you. You always acted on your own and thought it was for my good. Relationship needs effort from both sides. I don’t want to always be the one standing behind you, being treated as a weak person. Do you understand?”

“I’ll change in the future. No matter what I’ll discuss it with you. So, please don’t break up with me, and stop saying we’re not right for each other, okay?” Black Jack, whose large hand had slipped down, firmly held his hand.

Jian Luo shook his head, avoiding Black Jack’s gaze.

Black Jack’s eyes darkened as he pressed his large figure against Jian Luo’s. He rested his chin on Jian Luo’s shoulder, softly begging, “Luoxiaobai, how about we go to the beach to watch the sunset again?”

The sunset at the beach.

Did he still remember?

Jian Luo’s heart skipped a beat, and a complex emotion filled his chest.

They had quarreled when they were kids. He remembered how he had casually said that if they quarreled in the future, they should go to the beach to watch the sunset, and then he could forgive him each time. 𝒏𝒐𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢

Time has changed, but he remembered what he had said.

“I promise I will never let anyone else hold me, only you. I will not have meals alone with any other woman. No matter what happens, I will always be the first one to explain it to you, okay?” Black Jack rubbed against his neck. His warm breath sprayed against his skin, causing Jian Luo to instinctively shrink back.

Jian Luo raised his hand to push away Black Jack’s head. However, that guy stuck to him like a dogskin ointment and refused to let go.

“Get off me!”

“No!” he replied, hugging Jian Luo tightly. He mumbled unclearly as he nibbled at Jian Luo’s neck.

The deadlock between them somehow became harmonious.

“…”

Jian Luo stared at Black Jack in silence, the gloominess in his heart slowly dissipating.

“I haven’t forgiven you yet, so don’t take advantage of me.”

“Then don’t break up with me, let’s get back together.” Black Jack took advantage of the situation.

Jian Luo emphasized, “We were never together.”

No need to break up when they were never together.

“So, can we make up?” Black Jack backed off.

“I’ll think about it.” His tone softened somewhat.

“Then you think about it.” Black Jack lowered his head, nestling against Jian Luo’s neck, like a giant loyal dog.

“How am I supposed to think with you like this?” Jian Luo tried to push him away.
