Chapter 76: 76, Return to the Womb for Reconstruction (PK Plea for Collection)_1

“Xiya, wait a minute.” Khan quickly called out, blocking the door from being closed with his big hand, “Let me explain.”

“Explain my ass, I’m annoyed right now and I don’t have time for you.” Xiya pushed against the door, said coldly “Get out of here.”

Khan had no choice. He didn’t dare to push too hard to avoid hurting her, “Just give me a few minutes, then I’ll leave.”

“No, thank you. You may leave now.” Xiya replied. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝘱𝘶𝘣.𝘤𝘰𝑚

Khan managed a bitter smile, put more strength into the hand blocking the door, forcing Xiya to step back as he quickly squeezed inside.

Xiya huffed coldly. She looked back and there was no sign of Jian Qing on the couch.

That jerk Jian Qing, she thought furiously.

“Say what you have to say quickly. You have five minutes.” Xiya looked up at him, her tone full of hostility.

“Xiya, all those reports are fake. There’s absolutely nothing going on between Chu Ruohan and me.” Khan reached out to take her hand but she dodged it.

Xiya scoffed coldly, “Why should I care? If there’s nothing else, you can leave.”

“That day, Chu Ruohan wanted me to give her the jewelry endorsement opportunity. I thought she might have some grudges against Jian, so I went to the café. Please believe me, there’s really nothing between us, all those photos and reports are fabricated.” Khan was vexed and frustrated seeing her so dismissive.

“What does this have to do with Jian Qing?” Xiya paused.

Seeing her reaction, Khan’s eyes lit up.

“Chu Ruohan likes the CEO of JK International, but I think he likes Jian.”

Xiya was surprised and checked her hearing, “What did you just say?”

“If you don’t believe me, you can ask Jian, she can prove there’s nothing between Chu Ruohan and me.” Khan held up three fingers in a promise.

Xiya swept him a suspicious look and went back to the couch, not as anxious to drive him away as before.

Khan obediently followed her and started to sit down when she spoke up.

“Who allowed you to sit with me? Stay away from me.”

As she said this, Xiya’s face showed undisguised disgust. Khan was used to it and quickly moved to sit across from her.

Xiya glanced upstairs then stroked her chin as though deep in thought. Khan didn’t dare to interrupt, fearing she would drive him away.

Is Jian hiding something from her?

She needs to ask her immediately. She needs to figure out who this mystery man is that has caught Jian’s interest.

But before that, she needed to deal with the man in front of her.

“Your five minutes are up. You can leave now.” Xiya brutally ordered him to leave.

Khan rubbed his forehead, “Xiya, what exactly don’t you like about me?”

“I’m not satisfied with your whole being.” Xiya crossed her arms over her chest and tilted her chin, “Are you satisfied with that answer?”

Khan, “So what should I do to satisfy you?”

Xiya gave him a cold look, “I don’t know.”

Damn Khan, thinking back to when he used to flirt with other women in front of her.

“I…” Khan choked up.

Xiya suddenly smirked, “Khan, why don’t you just give up on me? After all, you’ve said before, ‘there are plenty of fish in the sea, why should you be obsessed with just one.’ Why don’t you go back to being a playboy?”

Khan was left speechless. Who knew his past womanizing ways would come back to haunt him, especially in front of her.

In the past, he never thought that he would fall for her. God really has a sense of humor, always making a joke out of him.

“Xiya, believe it or not, I’ve changed.” Khan stood up suddenly, looking at her seriously, sincerity in his voice, “I won’t give up on you.”

Having said that, he didn’t wait for her to chase him away and left on his own accord.

The sound of the door opening and close brought Xiya back to reality, watching his retreating figure, she chuckled softly.

Alone in the room, the sound of keyboard tapping broke the silence.

Jian Qing sat cross-legged on the sofa, her laptop balanced on her knees, her slender fingers flying over the keyboard, barely taking her eyes off the screen.

Fingers pressing the last key, Jian Qing finally stopped, stretching herself leisurely.

Finally, it’s done.

About to put her laptop away, a strange smile tugged at her lips and she reopened it.

The computer screen reflected Jian Qing’s face, her eyes flickering with mischievous glint as her fingers continued to type on the keyboard.

Pausing, Jian Qing whistled cheerfully and powered off her laptop.

The door was not closed, Xiya sauntered in and plopped down next to Jian Qing, looking as though she was prepared for an inquisition.

“Did Khan leave?” Jian Qing asked.

Xiya threw a glance at her, “You heartless thing, you didn’t even tell me he was coming.”

“Even if I told you, would you see him?” Jian Qing laughed, “Did you sort things out?”

“Sort out what?” Xiya huffed.

“So, what’s your plan?”

“Give him the cold shoulder.”

“Xiya, do you mind Khan’s past romantic debts?” Jian Qing asked curiously.

After a pause, Xiya shook her head, “To say I don’t care would be false, but it’s all in the past. As people, we need to keep moving forward.”

“Anyway, we’re friends. If he wants to chase me, let him. Given his past flirtations, I want to make it a bit difficult for him.”

Jian Qing, “…”

If this is what Xiya considers not caring, what would she be like if she were upset?

Indeed, she’d probably have to send Khan back for a do-over.
