Chapter 874: Chapter 874: Su Hongxing, you’re utterly wicked!

Chapter 874 -874: Su Hongxing, you’re utterly wicked!

Su Hongxing glared at Ye Qilan, “Can your face get any thicker? He’s my dad, what’s that to you?”

“What’s yours is mine, and you’re going to be my wife sooner or later, aren’t you? So isn’t your dad my dad too?” Ye Qilan looked at Cao Zhen, “Dad, you agree, right?”

Cao Zhen laughed heartily, “That all depends on the young lady’s wishes. If she’s willing to marry you, I naturally have no objections as her father. So, you’d better behave from now on and try to marry her sooner rather than later.”

“Dad, don’t worry, Amou is my little sweetheart…”

Su Hongxing kicked Ye Qilan, signaling him to stop being so cheesy.

Throughout the meal, Su Hongxing and Ye Qilan kept displaying their affection, making it hard for everyone but Cao Zhen to swallow their food, rendering the meal tasteless.

After dinner, Ye Qilan accompanied Cao Zhen in a game of chess, while Su Hongxing watched from the sidelines.

Not understanding chess, she could only cheer for Cao Zhen from the side.

Ye Qilan was giving Cao Zhen face, deliberately losing without making it obvious. After one game, Cao Zhen won by three pieces.

Seeing that they intended to continue, Su Hongxing found it boring and said, “You guys play, I’m going for a walk in the courtyard.”

“Amou, call out loudly for me if anything happens!” Ye Qilan said, worried. 𝓃ℴ𝓋𝓹𝓊𝓫.𝒸𝓸𝓂

After all, there were quite a few women staying here tonight, and none of them was easy to deal with.

Su Hongxing responded and then went to the courtyard.

Zhou Luhe was berating Cao Shiyu, “Su Hongxing has taken both your man and your father, and here you are, clueless and foolish. Wake up! Or you’re done for in this lifetime!”

“She’s crazy. No matter what you say, she won’t understand. Why waste your breath?”

Suddenly, Su Hongxing spoke up, startling Zhou Luhe.

Turning around and looking at Su Hongxing with resentment, she said, “Isn’t eavesdropping a bad habit of yours?”

“You weren’t exactly whispering, and I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. But even so, isn’t it fine that Cao Shiyu turned out this way?” Su Hongxing said, approaching Cao Shiyu, “Shiyu, don’t you think so?”

“Sister, I recognize you…” Cao Shiyu clutched at Su Hongxing’s sleeve, smiling foolishly at her.

“Coddling a thief as a father!” Zhou Luhe said, exasperatedly watching from the sidelines.

If she were in Cao Shiyu’s place, she would have gotten rid of Su Hongxing long ago.

“Life is unpredictable. Zhou Luhe, I used to think having a sister like you was embarrassing. Now, I’m grateful you’re not my sister.” Su Hongxing said, patting Cao Shiyu’s head, “Look at Shiyu, she’s much cuter than you, obedient and well-behaved. She does whatever I ask her to.”

“Su Hongxing, are you trying to corrupt Shiyu?!” Zhou Luhe’s expression changed.

“She was already bad; does she need me to teach her?” Su Hongxing said, pinching Cao Shiyu’s cheek with a smile.

Cao Shiyu’s expression remained unchanged, still looking foolish. Though she appeared fine on the surface, Cao Shiyu always made Su Hongxing uneasy.

She trusted her intuition and was unwilling to trust deceptive appearances any longer.

“Su Hongxing, you’re utterly wicked!” Zhou Luhe said incredulously, quickly pulling Cao Shiyu behind her, as if a moment’s delay would allow Su Hongxing to lead her astray.

Su Hongxing smiled ironically, “I thought you wanted to cozy up to me, so I would put in a good word for Mr. Zhou with dad. It seems you don’t need my care anymore.”

The proverb about ‘Thirty years on the east bank of the river, thirty years on the west’ truly reflected the real picture of Zhou Luhe and Su Hongxing, didn’t it?
