Since Sylvia was satisfied with the outcome, Ely closed the case, and they left the vicinity. They still had some important matters to deal with.
After leaving the Drocogalla Secret Realm, Noir, the magma black dragon, took everyone flying to where Sylvia found the ancient ruins and the God-tier flawed inheritance.
"We will go with you to that ancient ruins because we need some clues to deal with your flawed ancient demonic arts. However, what will you do when you meet the flawed inheritance’s original owner?" Yuuki wanted to make sure of something.
"He is half responsible for your demonic nature incident and tried to take over your body. Such grave offenses deserve the death penalty. Even Ely will also punish that big evil severely." Evelyn pursed her lips and nodded.
"Eliminate him. It’s just a wisp of soul remnant. He can do nothing but scheme something. That is unforgivable. He is dead already. So, I will make him really meet death." Sylvia clenched her fist.
"..." Ely just smiled awkwardly. She wasn’t really going to get involved up front, though.
She was a 0th Rank shrine priestess. She was capable of eliminating evil, purifying negativity, and performing exorcism. However, they would deal with a powerful evil soul remnant ghost.
Three 10th Rank experts were there, including the magma black dragon. Everything would be fine if they were careful. Also, she could ask them to do something for her.
"Everything has been running smoothly in the last few events, even though it looked chaotic initially. But please be prepared and careful because things don’t always go smoothly." Ely reminded her disciples.
Everyone had to be alert, even if the current situation was peaceful. They would go to the dangerous ancient ruins.
"Ely, please don’t say it like that. It may become a jinx." Evelyn blinked her eyes in surprise.
"How can a holy saintess bring bad luck?" Kirara glanced at Sylvia.
If someone might bring bad luck, then this devil girl was one to suspect. The magma black dragon was probably worth considering. After all, the master and the pet were both demonic.
"What’s with your expression, sword maiden? You’re not completely blind, but why you blindfolded your eyes? Ely only said that we need to be careful anytime and anywhere." Sylvia raised her eyebrows.
"I don’t want to see much demon cruelty in the Demon Realm. I am only here to help Lady Ely. Since you are her friend, please follow her guide to the righteous path soon, or you will be lost." Kirara shook her head.
"Hmph!" Sylvia snorted and averted her eyes. Ely’s teaching wasn’t an entirely righteous path either, but she didn’t know what to call it. It was a warm family. So, the family path... that’s it.
"Uri-chan, Remi-chan, didn’t you go to explore particular unexplored ancient ruins during our treasure hunt a month ago? Can you elaborate more regarding your encounters?" Ely dropped her fist onto her open palm.
"Fifth sister, you can explain it better than me." Remiel threw the explanation to her senior sister. When she recalled it, they had not told her master about the details yet.
"Alright, so this is the full story." Uriel then shared about her and Remiel’s encounters in that nameless ancient ruins.
The Planet Quadtria was said to have been destroyed twice in its history, and in each one, a civilization existed.
Everyone called it the ancient civilization. The one that Uriel found was quite far underground. She found the clues by accident, but she didn’t expect to see the intact ruins of an ancient civilization.
Unfortunately, a big earthquake occurred. Uriel and Remiel were forced to flee before being buried alive.
Although it was a shame, Uriel took some pictures using her artifact.
"Hmm..." Ely observed the image closely.
It was an artifact that she was still developing to resemble a camera. However, it still needed a lot of improvement.
She could understand nothing from Uriel’s blurry images. She also couldn’t enlarge it because Uriel snapped the photos in a bit of a hurry.
"We need to re-encrypt the images to find out more about this. I can see secrets behind the blurry runes and carvings on the walls." Ely tapped Uriel’s shoulder.
"Yes, master." Uriel nodded in understanding.
She couldn’t continue her research because of the recent significant events, but her master would help her with this. She was excited to unravel the mysteries of an ancient civilization.
"My ancient demonic arts might have come from the God survivor from the ancient era? He might be the Ancient Demon God." Sylvia realized something and felt she needed to dig deeper than just killing that soul remnant ghost.
"What about the ancient demons of Ancient Night Secret Realm, then? Are they from ancient civilizations?" Yuuki asked in wonder. n𝚘𝚟𝚙u𝚋.co𝚖
"It’s a sealed separate realm. They may have existed since the ancient era. For your information, the high-class ancient demons have been half-immortal since birth. Some of them have gone through several cycles of reincarnation and rebirth." Ely shared a little about her discovery.
"Then won’t their numbers continue to grow? How do we know if it’s a new demon or someone who went through reincarnation and rebirth?" Evelyn needed clarification.
She hadn’t entered the ancient secret realm. But she didn’t feel like setting foot into that treacherous demon’s lair.
"Yes, their number will continue to increase. For rebirth... they can become a demonic egg. They also usually choose memory reset or something like that for starting over. We met one demonic egg a month ago." Ely shrugged.
"!!!" Rafaela gasped in surprise. It was still vivid in her memory. That ominous egg was an ancient demon.
"Ancient Demon God, huh... We’ll kill it regardless. Hm? Why are you surprised?" Michael glanced at Rafaela while scratching his head.
"The demonic cult... we exterminated one month ago. That crushed egg with tons of sticky black liquid is the thing our master mentioned." Rafaela reminded everyone.
"!!!" The other disciples were shocked.
Even so, they just put the thing aside. Their master had killed the ancient demon because of the demonic cult’s unforgivable offense.
Those demons dared to kidnap their master and make her the sacrifice... Those demons’ demise was well deserved.
"That egg is probably the nightmare demon, young lord, the real one. That’s why the Nightmare Clan mistook me for their young lord. His soul sigil stuck to one of my weapons..." Ely sighed. She hoped someone could help her find the best solution.
"Ely... do you perhaps need some advice? I may be the one you are looking for. You may be confused since you haven’t had many dealings with high-class demons, but I have eons of experience!" Sylvia pointed to herself and puffed out her chest proudly.
"You’re not even a thousand-year-old devil. Where did your eons of experience come from?" Yuuki rolled her eyes.
"Listen here. Here’s the point. Let them assume whatever they want to believe because you can’t change it. Once you take a wrong step, and bam, they will make you their nemesis. Please take advantage of them while the opportunity is there. You won’t be using that identity for a long time either." Sylvia approached Ely and spoke like a sage.
"Is it like that?" Ely asked in wonder. She was the evil nemesis, to begin with.
"Yes, I guarantee it. Once they believe, they will overlook any small details. You also won’t be around them forever. Let them work for you. Are you going to waste such good vassals?" Sylvia gave a thumbs up with a devilish smirk.
Yuuki grabbed Sylvia’s head from behind, then pulled the devil girl away from Ely.
"What’s your problem, vixen? Can’t you see Ely genuinely needs advice from a distinguished devil like me since she’s never been involved in complicated matters between demons?" Sylvia was irritated. Her veins popped out as she grabbed Yuuki’s hands, then pushed the vixen down.
"I just don’t like your tone and suggestions. As you said a while ago, are you trying to manipulate others?" Yuuki fought back, and it became a contest of physical strength where she and Sylvia pushed each other on equal ground.
"I am Ely’s devil familiar. I care about her well-being and will. Do you want to rebel, reticent vixen? Don’t try to exploit her by yourself. Since you are useless in inter-demon affairs, it’s my time to shine! I’m the best for it." Sylvia bared her teeth.
Sylvia then used her dragon tail to counterattack, but Yuuki had nine fluffy fox tails to strike back.
Despite fighting and arguing, they didn’t actually hurt each other.
"They started again." Evelyn facepalmed.
"..." Ely and her disciples were speechless. The two influential experts became like two little girls who fought over minor issues.
The magma black dragon pretended not to know what was happening on his back. He couldn’t relate the ultra-terrifying blood devil back then with this devil girl.
He didn’t dare to say anything because he would die for nothing. His master had many strong friends. She was terrifying when angry.
"Do they quarrel often?" Ely whispered near Evelyn’s ear.
"Yeah, they can never get along, but they make up after a few minutes. Just let them be. They care about each other but don’t know how to convey it." Evelyn replied in a whisper.
