The Heavenly Demon slid sideways, avoiding the swift dark spear by a hair. She got scratched and burned by the black flames.
However, her skin got peeled off by itself immediately, as she didn’t want the everlasting black fire to spread and injure her further.
The wound she got in the last four minutes was painful as this blood devil was strange and dangerous.
She stabilized her stance in mid-air and asked. "You are a demon with your share of darkness, but why are you on their side? You should be on the dark side with me."
Sylvia’s long, dark spear jabbed, but the Heavenly Demon took the point with her shield, immediately shoving it aside. She unleashed a counterattack. Her long sword was flashing.
Sylvia swung her dagger to deflect the sword sideways and pressed her opponent with her blood whips.
"!!!" The Heavenly Demon tried her best to freefall as she could sense the danger from somewhere unexpected.
*Swoosh!*
A jet of black flames shot out, incinerating the clouds.
Sure enough, the blood whips were a distraction, and the black flames were the main threat.
Sylvia blew the tip of her spear, enveloping it in her blood qi. Her opponent tried to keep her safe distance, but she immediately shot down with acceleration.
*Boom!*
It was like how two projectiles collided mid-air, but one was offensive, and the other tried one’s best to survive. The Heavenly Demon was knocked to the ground, causing a considerable crater.
"Are you wondering why we hunted you down immediately right after you regained some of your power? It’s only been a few hours since your awakening, right?" Sylvia landed on the ground, aiming the tip of her spear at the Heavenly Demon’s neck.
"That’s because you wanted to kill me? Since you came with those people, tell me who you took orders from. What is your background?" The Heavenly Demon remained calm.
"You’re trying to dig up information, but you’re tight-lipped. I’m more surprised by you. You can still keep your composure despite your current situation. It’s as if you still have a few trump cards. Even though several 10th Rank experts surrounded you, you can still escape safely, right?" Sylvia scratched the Heavenly Demon’s neck slightly, then swung it to the side.
*Bam* *Bam*
The dark spear shockwave blew away the shield and long sword in Heavenly Demon’s hands.
"That’s my precious phantom shield and nightmare sword. Return!" The Heavenly Demon waved her finger, and the two weapons shot back, about to hit the blood devil from behind.
*Clang*
A wall of ice towered over. The shield and the sword got stuck there.
"Still refusing to reveal anything, heh. Five minutes have just passed. Are you going to keep your word and let me go?" The Heavenly Demon grinned at her opponent. She glanced warily at the nine-tailed snow fox in the sky, but her gaze soon returned to the blood devil’s right arm.
She left a small scratch there, and her ’liquid’ would take effect soon. It was a matter of time until she could control and refine this 10th Rank unique blood demon as her new ultra minion.
"Five minutes, huh..." Sylvia glanced at her right arm, aware of the slight scratch she had somehow gotten.
A red root-like parasite tried to spread in her blood. She tried to expel it, but the Heavenly Demon God’s qi was troublesome. Thus, she could only seal it for the time being.
"Trying to control me, heh? It’s ridiculous. Fine, I’ll let you go. However, you still need the others’ approval before you can leave. I’m not the only Deity here." Sylvia smiled mysteriously before turning to leave.
"You want to play me?" The Heavenly Demon spit out something from her mouth.
*Swoosh*
That thing shot out like a high-speed bullet.
Showing one’s back to an opponent was a fatal mistake in battle, but sadly, Sylvia had already predicted it all. The bullet struck Sylvia’s dark spear, making a loud clang before shattering into pieces.
Not finished, Sylvia threw a knife into the Heavenly Demon’s mouth with impressive speed.
"Ugh!" The Heavenly Demon deflected the throwing knife with her bare hand, but she got scratched by poison.
"You quite entertain me, but my playtime is over~ If you still feel confident with your trump cards, how about an army that can destroy an Empire?" Sylvia flew away happily.
She managed to hone her new demonic arts with the intention of killing her opponent. Her opponent could withstand her killing moves well. Although, most of her skills got neutralized because the Heavenly Demon possessed stronger spiritual power than her.
---
Some questions arose in the Heavenly Demon’s mind. She detoxified the poison out of her hands, then looked up at the red sky.
The 10th Rank powerhouses who hunted her weren’t just two. An army capable of destroying an Empire was approaching.
She observed where the blood devil and the nine-tailed snow fox flew away. An army of thousands of experts was approaching from the west. There were two more Deities and a few Demi-Gods.
"!!!" The Heavenly Demon’s voice was numb with shock.
Also, another thousand experts were flying over from the northwest. However, they were all mediocre humans led by a Demi-God and three Emperor-level experts.
"Tch, I am not afraid. Just some mortal Dieites. It doesn’t matter if it’s two or more. But, it’s no good in my current situation. Did I power up too quickly and alert them? Should I flee now? But, my great formation..." The Heavenly Demon gazed into the deep blood-red valley.
She wanted to reactivate an ancient weapon of destruction, and she hid her grand formation there. All the sacrifices she had accumulated in the last few hours would be in vain if she ran away now. She would also have a predicament of being chased by multiple powerhouses at once.
However, she had to finish it grandly since she played it big.
"Never mind. High risk, high return. Let me grab this opportunity and utilize those peak-level powerhouses to empower me back to my glory, keke..." The Heavenly Demon chuckled creepily, then melted into a red liquid and seeped into the ground.
Those people might have sealed this region to prevent her escape, but she no longer intended to escape.
---
The Blood Moon’s experts were alerted when a winged devil and a nine-tailed snow fox flew over.
"They are my people. The clashes are inevitable, and the battle has already broken out. Please help us to control the situation." Ely stretched her hand to the side.
"Reinforcements from the Human Alliance have also arrived, but I don’t think they are the main forces. Uncle, everyone, please help them to exterminate those red undead and weird golems." Mingyue immediately spoke to emphasize her friend’s words.
"The strange undead and golems. Those red liquids pose an unknown danger. I’m afraid to say that the demons have taken over this region." Feng Jie frowned as he scanned the red land ahead.
"Whatever it is, Sacred Sakura’s people have already taken the lead. Let’s assist them in exterminating those demons."
"Those demons only have a way out. Perish under our might."
The two 10th Rank Blood Moon’s great elders spoke and ordered their people to move immediately.
However, it was only warriors below the 7th Rank. The 7th Rank experts or above remained in the sky to observe the situation first.
"..." Meiying signaled her great elders with a gaze, and they responded with a tactical nod.
The Frozen Cloud’s people immediately flew down to assist the Human Alliance. Nevertheless, the elders and great elders remained in the sky.
"El- Saintess Miko, we, uh?" Sylvia landed on the firebird’s back, but the firebird suddenly lost its altitude.
"Squawk!" The firebird flapped her wings desperately, trying her best to keep aloft. Unfortunately, the weight on her back was too much to maintain her altitude.
"This bird is weak. Eve, you go and help them. You, Kirara. Swing your new holy sword and exterminate those demons. I have something to report." Sylvia pushed Evelyn and Kirara to fly by themselves, knowing this firebird couldn’t carry too many people.
Ely gave a subtle nod to Evelyn.
"Alright then. Kirara, let’s go." Evelyn flew down to the battlefield.
"Please excuse me." Kirara bowed slightly, then flew after her friend.
"..." Yuuki landed on the firebird’s back gracefully. She glanced once at Sylvia, then at the surrounding people, and ended at Ely.
"It’s okay, it’s okay. Don’t be afraid. This bad devil is not that evil, but just a little heavy." Mingyue tried to calm her mount down.
"I’m not heavy. Your mount is just weak and crummy. My mount can carry more than a hundred people at once without any problem." Sylvia crossed her arms over her chest.
"Please don’t raise a dispute. So, what do you want to report, Elder Sylvi? You just exchanged a few moves with the Heavenly Demon and injured her, but you let her go?" Ely tried to guess with a wondering expression.
"Huh? How did you know?" Sylvia was a bit surprised, but she nodded in reply.
"Huh? You let the threat go away after you wounded her? If you are capable, why don’t you finish her off or buy time until we arrive? We’ve lost track of her now." One of the Blood Moon’s masked elders grasped his head in frustration.
"Hehee~ Everything is still proceeding as planned. Why are you looking restless? The Heavenly Demon will try to hunt us down now. You should have come well prepared, warriors." Sylvia put her hand to her cheek and smiled faintly.
