The pirates were shocked when the menacing fleet of warships flew into the air. They were the rulers of the sea and would plunder a fortune from the wealthy who wished to cross this ocean.

Unfortunately, they chose the wrong target.

Their opponents were just several cool and attractive metal ships, and that was what they could see beforehand. However, they never expected it was actually a whole fleet of advanced Empire-class warships!

They only realized their fatal mistake when the ships they wanted to attack flew into the sky. Nevertheless, they were fcked up now.

Several backline pirate ships exploded when the enemy’s flagship battleship fired its main gun. It was no longer shipwrecked, but exploded into pieces, leaving only fire and dust behind!

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

The other battleships let off several volleys, destroying the vanguard pirate ships in seconds. Dozens of pirate crew members immediately threw themselves into the sea, swimming into the deep ocean to avoid enemy bombardment.

Several pirate ships opened fire with their cannons as a form of counterattack. Yet, enemy destroyers and light cruisers’ barrages destroyed their projectiles in mid-air.

Several fighter aircraft shot past their middle lane, dropping several bombs onto their ships’ superstructures.

"Retreat! Raise the white flag! Switch to submarine mode! We need to dive now!" The pirate captain exclaimed in a panicked tone. His chance to win this battle was as good as zero.

"It’s too late, sir! They’ve already given the red signal, and they will crush us into oblivion and kill all of us!"

"How is that possible!? Who are they?"

"That’s the blue fox flag! Do you know any powerful faction with the blue fox symbol?"

"How could I possibly know? We are staying at Terra World, and they are coming from Caelum World! Our intel from there is outdated."

"Quick, retreat and dive!"

The pirates scattered in all directions like desperate ants before a fire. As sea creatures, they could survive just fine underwater if enemies wouldn’t take the trouble to hunt them down.

"Summon the Apocalypse Squad! Notify Lord Leviathan to help us!" The captain became super furious, but his voice was a bit shaky.

As a 7th Rank pirate captain in his hundred years of career, this was the first time he was so humiliated with an utter defeat.

Unfortunately, those were his last words before a smoke bomb exploded on his ship. A super thick and dense cloud of green smoke immediately enveloped all the pirate ships, sending any survivors below 6th Rank unconscious within seconds.

"!!!" The pirate captain tried his best to protect his respiratory senses. He could resist the sleep-inducing effect, but he couldn’t use his power very well for some reason.

He felt a bit confused, and the world was spinning wildly. His spiritual sense seemed to be blocked by something, and he couldn’t circulate his qi properly.

*Thud*

The pirate captain fell to the floor, conscious but without the strength to stand or move.

When the cloud of poisonous smoke dissipated, many masked experts got off the floating ships. Those people caught the unconscious pirates and made them hostages.

"Lord Leviathan will never let you go. Our lord shall avenge us someday." The pirate captain grumbled with hatred when the masked experts tied him up.

"Shut up, fish pirate. Not even your lord can survive our bombardment. Even though our weaponry can’t do its job, we still have a few Demi-Gods and Deities by our side."

"Keke, is that what a pirate will say after being defeated by the ships you want to plunder? Who knows how many victims have fallen under your cruelty."

"Less talking, and do more. Bring anything valuable as our trophy of victory."

"Hehe, good. You’re pretty lucky, pirates. We spared you from utter destruction because Her Majesty is looking for someone in the underwater world."

"If you, pirates, can’t provide us with enough information, say goodbye to your luck."

Those masked experts’ remarks surprised the pirate captain. His survival chance only depended on whether they could provide information about someone!?

When he was taken away to the enemy ship, he saw the tragedy with his own eyes. It truly pained his heart, but he could do nothing with that. Resources, weapons, treasures, and anything of value were plundered by those masked experts.

After everything was finished, his treasured pirate ship was set on fire and slowly sunk, along with the other ships. His tears flooded his eyes as his treasured ship already accompanied his journey for many years.

By comparison, he was a cheap pirate, and this fleet was the professional pirates.

---

A few moments later, over a hundred pirates were held hostage on the flagship’s front deck.

Luna arrived with her daughter and confidante by her side.

She was not interested in those pirates, but she wanted to know some details about the underwater world, especially about their mermaid friend.

"..." Luna glanced at her confidante.

Yusagi nodded in understanding. She took out a painting scroll and started asking about the pink mermaid named Dorienne Lorelei to the pirates.

"Phew..." Lynn heaved a subtle sigh. The battle went smoothly, and it was relatively easy to gain victory. Enemies below the 8th Rank could hardly survive under their warships’ bombardment.

It might look cruel, but that was necessary to survive in this cruel, merciless world.

The ocean was pretty calm. No storms, bad weather, or threats could be detected within a thousand miles radius. All warships then descended and returned to the sea.

"Dory, the pink mermaid? Hahaha! I think it’s someone influential. But, that’s just a lowly mer-maid! She might have become someone’s plaything and died as a slut by now!" The pirate captain laughed out loud.

"Execute him." Yusagi gave the command, and the nearby executioner soon beheaded the pirate captain.

The headless humanoid fishkin sprawled on the floor, floundering a few times before going limp. His soul essence then flew away, leaving his dead body behind.

However, Luna pointed her finger and bent it like a hook. The escaping soul wisp flew back, and she trapped that soul essence into a small bottle. "Too bad. Not even your soul can escape."

"Haven’t any of you ever seen her? Any news related to her might save your lives here." Yusagi looked at the other pirates.

The surrounding experts then unsheathed their swords as if they were about to execute the pirates.

"Wait, please spare me, ma’am! I am just an ordinary sailor. I have never killed a single person before. You want to know about the pink mermaid, right? I saw this rare species in Catalora Capital City a few years ago." A particular carp fish pirate was terrified and immediately tried anything that might save his life.

"Keep talking." Yusagi gave a signal to the nearby soldier.

That fish pirate was then brought before her.

"Mermaids are called mermaids for a reason. They are the maids or servants, the lowly race born to serve the others. Any female mermen can only live their entire lives to serve the male mermen or any superior sea creatures. I once saw a pink mermaid brought to the Emperor Palace of Catalora about three years ago. She was the Catalora Emperor’s tribute, but her beauty captivated him and gained his favor. That’s what all the townspeople know! Believe me!"

After hearing that statement, Yusagi squinted her eyes. She then glanced at her Empress, wishing to know what they needed to do next.

"Very good. We don’t know the validity of your information, but you are at least honest. Release him." Luna unfolded her folding fan and covered her mouth with it.

*Slash*

Yusagi swung her sword, cutting the rope.

"Thank you, Her Majesty!" The newly released carp fish pirate knelt once, then hurried away. However, someone immediately blocked his escape. "What is the meaning of this? You said to release me."

"I haven’t said you can go. Why are you in such a hurry? Tell me your name, honest fish." Luna responded elegantly, but there was a hint of a mysterious chuckle in her voice.

"This one is Obie the carp." Obie felt increasingly tense. He wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, but he was just a small fish before the whole fleet of warships.

"Hmm-mm~ Obie, alright. I’ve put a seal on your spiritual sea. Tell that lord of yours to meet us here in three hours with some good ransoms if he wants his people back. If he doesn’t come to us in three hours, we will go looking for him, but it won’t end peacefully. Can you do this simple instruction?" Luna chuckled and raised her finger at the carp-man at the end of her sentence.

"What!? Yes, yes... This little carp understand. Her Majesty... then, this one should excuse himself now. However, may I know your title or identity?" Obie clutched his chest as if he couldn’t believe what had just invaded his spiritual sea.

He got terrified and immediately agreed to the bluish-white Fox Empress’s request.

"Tell your lord. We’re the Blue Soul Fox Chamber of Commerce. You may go now." Luna raised her hand, signaling Obie to leave.

Obie then rushed to jump into the sea and bid farewell to the terrifying fleet on the surface. He swam into the ocean as fast as he could, but he knew it... His life was no longer in his hands because the other party was the Soul Fox Deity!

"Is it okay to let him go just like that?" Lynn asked in wonder. She knew that carp wasn’t lying, but they didn’t know whether the information was useful. After all, that fish said the incident was three years ago.

"Who knows? He is just a little fish and will bring the bigger one here. Their lord should know more useful things than these small fishes." Luna turned around and walked away.

"Alright. Lock them up in a big cage." Lynn extended her hand and passed down her order to the nearby personnel.

"Yes, Her Highness!" The surrounding soldiers, warriors, and masked experts saluted.

Lynn then left with her mother, and Yusagi soon followed suit.
