He matched the two symbols his contract binder gave with the symbols in those ships. After ensuring those people were allies, he curled his massive mouth into a smile. Unfortunately, it looked both scary and intimidating.
"Roar! Blup, bloop..." Noir roared out loud for a warning but choked on sea water and coughed.
"Ho, friend. I was just passing by. According to instructions, I caught some mermaids on the way." Lord Muckga took out something from inside his stomach using his tentacle-like tongues. He spat out several sticky, slimy mermaids out of his mouth.
"*Gasp!* I’m still alive? I thought we were eaten by a super scary monster..."
"We got spit out? Eww, so much mucus and goo."
"No, wait... that giant scary black lava worm is still there! Also, another massive monster! The big fat volcano seahorse!?"
"They’re going to fight, and we’re caught in the middle!? We’re doomed!"
The mermaids got terrified when they realized their current predicament.
"That’s all from me. Then, I shall take my leave." Lord Muckga raised his tongue in farewell and headed east. He went deeper into the ocean to hunt for more things.
"???" Noir failed to catch what had just happened. That ugly giant worm came, gave mermaids as offerings to him, then just left.
He expected an outstanding underwater clash between two massive beasts. That worm was slightly weaker than him and possessed fire-type power. That would have been a fun experience, but the battle never happened.
Noir sighed in disappointment as he watched the giant magma worm disappear. He extinguished his lava fire. One of the little mermaids even had the nerve to call him, his majestic self, a seahorse!?
