Once upon a time, a princess from the founding clan of the Mage Association and also the royal family of a northern kingdom harbored a great dream of her future.

She wasn’t that smart and her magic power could be considered only above average, but she was blessed with a great figure and beautiful face.

Unlike her, her older brother was talented and would become the future Emperor. Due to that, she knew very well that her parents might try to get her to marry someone in a political marriage someday. Unless she could pave her own path so nobody could control her fate and future.

Her only chance was to achieve impressive achievements to prove herself. And, the magic academy served as her greatest opportunity.

Evelyn Mitchell enrolled in the Deterry Academy of Magic, but she got no dormmate even though the enrollment period was almost over.

Among all the opportunities available, a dormmate would be someone who would share the joy and sorrow for years to come. The fated encounter... She probably could get her dormmate to share the path as her confidant in the future as well.

When she started to feel sad and almost cried because her first expectations were gradually shattered, a black-haired lovely girl came into her room. Her fateful dormmate arrived! That was her first encounter with the determiner of destiny known as Elysia.

"..." Evelyn smiled faintly as she recalled her past. She held a silver card in her hand. It was her luck, the ticket that brought her to Elysia five years ago.

She initially wanted to form a sister-like bond and recruit her dormmate as her confidante using her identity as the northern kingdom’s princess when the time was ripe. However, she got herself recruited into Elysia’s circle instead.

Her destiny had changed drastically since she joined Elysia’s circle, and she grew into a respected high-level mage who was no longer afraid of thunder. 𝖓𝔬𝖛𝔭𝔲𝖇.𝔠𝔬𝖒

Regardless, her future path was boundless with the Elysium Family, but she remembered that the time she spent with her Goddess Master was still so short. Many things occurred in the last five years, and she wished to experience many things with Elysia and her sisters.

Since her sisters also had no experience as an academy student, then they could become the young apprentice for a day and carve out a good memory.

"!~" Evelyn couldn’t contain her excitement and hugged Elysia’s arm, enjoying the gentle breeze that brushed her long blonde hair under the view of the sunrise.

"Hello, new students. Can you spare a little of your time?" The curious student council president came to greet Ely’s circle of friends. Several students and instructors followed closely behind.

Yuuki and Luna took a subtle defensive measure. They stood right behind Elysia as if not allowing anyone to disturb their master.

"???" Elysia had no idea why. It was just a few new students, student council members, and instructors. Yuuki and Luna sensed something, and Evelyn wouldn’t let her arm off. So, she asked Erina, Sylvia, and Darkness to entertain their curious guests.

"Yeah, sure. What do you need from us?" Sylvia responded bluntly.

"Err... can we chat for a moment? There are several things that we want to confirm and know." Milena glanced at Ely, the acting leader of this talented new student team. Unfortunately, two white-haired girls with fox-like ears blocked the view.

"With pleasure, senior. We can talk about the sunrise view here. What do you want to confirm and know?" Erina held her hand, smiling professionally.

"How far have you progressed in the advanced stages? How did you do it? Do you know what your current level is?" Milena twirled a handful of her hair and decided to ask whoever it was, not necessarily the acting leader.

"That’s hard to say because the entire space of that place is always shrouded in thick mist and fog. We can’t count anymore. As for our level... how can we know that?" Erina shook her head slightly as this matter was beyond obvious.

"I see... that makes sense. We need to wait until we arrive at the academy to measure it. But, have you known each other before?" Milena tried to peer deeper.

"Yes."

"Uhm, but... we still don’t understand. Why is the principal so polite to you all. Is there something there we should know?"

"I think... you need to ask it to the principal himself."

"Hum, so you can’t say it, huh... okay, I understand. And then-"

Milena had not finished speaking, and Darkness suddenly butted in. "No introductions, no pleasantries, and no manners. Is this how the academy’s executives operate? I thought you were aristocrats with etiquette. Save your interrogation for another time. You’re interrupting our moment."

"What the-" The student council vice president frowned at such rudeness.

Milena extended her arm to the side, preventing unnecessary arguments. She then introduced herself politely. "Ugh, It was a mistake on my part. Please pardon my rashness. My haste made me forget such a basic formality. Pleased to meet you, students. My name is Milena Greece, the current student council president. We wish to invite you to a welcome ceremony banquet. You may not know, but you just broke the academy record. We wish to celebrate it for you."

"Hum, record in the last four years. So, one in four? But, we record no bubble score." Sylvia shrugged her shoulders.

"You are right. The highest score is held by team 9 with Dorothy as the team leader." Milena pointed her hand at Dorothy.

"Is something bothering you?" Sylvia closed one eye because the nearby bespectacled lady kept staring at her.

"Erm, are you perhaps not human?" Yasmin asked spontaneously. She just realized it and the girl standing before her was clearly not human, but a devil!

"Yeah, you already guessed it. I assume you all already know about our background. Do you have prejudice against other races when the peace treaty has been signed by all the supreme leaders in the World Alliance?" Sylvia crossed her arms. She didn’t even need to disguise her devil horns anymore.

"She meant no offense. Please don’t take that to heart." Milena made a hand signal, ordering her secretary to step back.

"Since the student council president personally invited us to a welcome banquet, how could we possibly refuse? We befriended each other before joining the enrollment test, and I hope we can live in harmony." Elysia stepped forward as she couldn’t let the unspoken racial thingy be said. She hoped the youngster held no racism like the old generation.

Dorothy said hello to Ely and they went with the student council president to the said welcome banquet. To avoid misunderstandings, Dorothy assured Ely that she never disclose any discreet information to anyone.

---

"Hey, I thought it was just a rumor."

"They weren’t human..."

"I didn’t pay much attention to them before, but isn’t there at least one race representative there?"

"The elf lady and the beastfolk ladies are truly breathtaking. I’m glad the world becomes peaceful without racial strife anymore."

Several students exchanged words with each other at the welcome banquet. Unfortunately, they only spoke in whispers. Only a few dared to approach and greet the mentioned race representatives.

The welcome banquet was held around the pond on the floating ship’s lido deck. It was supposedly the swimming pool, but only exotic fish swim in the pool.

"Squawk, squawk!"

Dozens of large jet-black birds flew down from the clouds as if they wanted to join the party. Unfortunately, their bloodshot eyes held other intentions.

"Sudden attack?!" One of the students shouted as he noticed the uninvited guests.

"Go away." He-Dao stood in front of Elysia and extended his hand to the side, chasing away the demon-like bird.

Unfortunately, the birds refused to leave, and He-Dao was about to take action before the birds disturbed Elysia and harmed the students. However, Elysia held him back.

"Are you hungry? We shall give you some meat, but you need to be polite. Don’t disturb the other students. Call your comrades here." Elysia tapped He-Dao’s arm and scolded the hungry bird, but she offered it a piece of fresh meat.

"Squawk!" The bird spread its wings wide to assert dominance.

Unfortunately, the arrogant bird got bonked by a wooden stick. Elysia used her Gohei for a first warning.

Because the bird was starved, it immediately became docile after it regained its sober mind from the head smack. After receiving the meat, it squawked continuously to call its comrades so as not to harm and bother the other students.

"Huh?" The students and the newly arrived instructors were astonished. The clash was about to happen, but those bird monsters somehow became docile.

Those birds were above level 100 and might kill several people if countermeasures were late. However, the said threat was put under control before anyone could even unleash a counterattack on those birds.

"The new students this year are truly impressive." Someone flew down from the sky and landed on the raised platform, looking at the students and birds with profound gaze.

"Is this your doing?" He Dao frowned.

"Hahaha! They are my pets, and we are going hunting. Who would have thought that free food would come? Their aim changed from hunting the game to looting the party." The mysterious man laughed.

"You’ve had your fill now. Go teach your bad master a lesson. You don’t deserve to starve." Elysia tapped the nearby bird’s head and aimed her Gohei at the arrogant man above.

The birds numbered thirty, and they stared daggers at their master. Their red eyes seemed to glow, staring at their prey. It was like a divine revelation and supreme command. The birds immediately flew to attack the person they were supposed to treat as master.

"Squawk!" x30

"Hey, I’m your master. How dare you bite the hands that feed you?! Get your beak away from me this instant!" The mysterious man was overwhelmed by dozens of master-level birds’ sudden assault. He fell to the floor, but the birds still pecked him repeatedly.

"Who’s he?" He-Dao asked in wonder.

"Who knows?" Elysia shook her head.

"Pfft, ahahaha! So ridiculous. We fed them just now, and you shamelessly claimed your hands were the ones who fed them?" Darkness laughed heartily.
