NOVPUBFor generations, the foxkin lived in fear, constantly hunted by stronger demons, beasts, and monsters. Those predators saw them as nothing more than a delicacy to improve one’s cultivation or simply attractive slaves to please one’s desires. The predators would descend upon their hidden villages once it was known, leaving devastation in their wake, and the foxkin were powerless to stop them.
But such a fate would be changed today. Under the guise of vulnerability, Elysia and Yuuki, helped by their sisters, devised a cunning trap to lure the greedy predators to raid their fake village.
They spread rumors across the forests and mountains about a weakened foxkin village ripe for plundering. The news reached the ears of the greedy demons and savage beasts very quickly. Driven by the insatiable hunger and lust for power, the predators from various backgrounds and origins could not resist such a tempting opportunity.
As the night grew late, Elysia and Yuuki positioned themselves within a seemingly exposed clearing of a newly made village. Luna and Lynn helped their fellow sisters in their foxkin disguise to perfection. Anyone who came to visit with hostility would be crushed by them, and the foxkin family group and the faction behind the offenders would be punished with overwhelming force.
From the forest’s shadows, demons and monsters began to gather. They imagined an easy feast from the newly discovered foxkin village. The rumors were proven correct, but they went to lurk around the terrain like the predators eyeing their prey because they had to ensure something before pouncing and capturing their prey. They slowly approached the foxkin village with the confidence of a huge harvest.
The village was mostly filled with beautiful, charming fox girls, tantalizing the urge to commit the deed. The foxkin appeared fragile and unsuspecting. Their foxy tails shimmered faintly in the moonlight, casting an alluring glow that only intensified the lure. Upon noticing the presence of two nine-tailed foxes, some predators could wait no longer.
"I arrived here first! The nine-tailed foxes are mine!" The demonic gargoyle sprang forth from the bush, aiming straight for the grand prizes in the middle of the village.
"Haha, we struck it rich!"
"They’re mine!"
"Who would have thought that a vulnerable foxkin village was hidden here!"
Many other demons and monsters emerged from their hiding spot as they didn’t want to miss the opportunity. First come, first served, they had to kidnap the prey before the powerful old monsters arrived.
"Who dares to compete with this sovereign?!" The giant blue demon tore open the void, emerging with a grand momentum of his mountain crusher body.
"There’s so many foxkin here~ I didn’t expect you to come personally just because of that rumor, Demon King Obel. Let’s crush the others and we can have one nine-tailed fox each. As for the rest, we can split them evenly. How’s that?" The seductress-looking demoness licked her crimson lips as she emerged from the shadows.
"Demon Queen Azril. We don’t need to cooperate just to crush the inferior demons as they pose no threat. Get out of the way, inferior things!" Demon King Obel slapped the air, creating a powerful blast to sweep the lower demons before they could reach the foxkin village.
It was like a deadly landslide, sweeping away dozens of demons at once and burying them alive.
"Fufu, too bad. But, I really need a good specimen for my experiment. I shall take the black fox and a random pretty fox. You can have the white one and the rest. Please don’t compete with me!" Demon Queen Azril flapped her bat-like wings and bared her fangs as she flew past the giant blue demon.
"I need at least four mythical-tier foxes for my ascension ritual experiment." Demon King Obel snorted, but he did not object to Demon Queen Azril’s request.
"Two 10th Rank, three 9th Rank, six 8th Rank, seven 7th Rank, and seventy-nine at 6th Rank and below. Thirty-one are buried alive, and the rest are still lurking in the forest." Elysia analyzed the approaching predators with her sacred vision.
"Now is the time for us to crush them." Yuuki summoned her ice bow, ready to shoot the giant blue demon’s head.
"Crush them. Keep them alive if possible as they’re more useful alive than dead." Elysia gave a hand signal to her fox sisters.
"Charge!" Sylvia jumped up to face the swiftly approaching vampire queen.
In an instant, the fox sisters shifted their expressions from helpless, desperate prey to fierce, divine warriors. The once inviting glow of their alluring charm became a blinding offensive attack, revealing intricate magic circles and runes to rain down the enemies.
Following the foxes’ offensive move, the traps hidden in the forest were activated to assault the lurking monsters. Magical barriers sprang up, ensnaring the predators as the flames and ice erupted from the ground. The spectral chain emerged out of thin air, binding the intruders.
Caught off guard by the foxes’ overwhelming retaliation, the predators were too late to realize that they had been baited into a trap. The fox sisters unleashed their skill and mastery. Their combined powers came like an unstoppable storm, crushing the predators who dared to try prey upon them.
"Damn it! Who dares to spread those false rumors... Those things are a trap. But, since when did the foxkin have such absurd combat power, guh..." Demon Queen Azril groaned in pain.
She was a proud great demon, standing above the myriad of creatures, and yet, she got beaten and reduced to a mere loser under the opponent’s mercy. Above all matter, she was defeated by a group of foxes who supposedly only excel at illusions with close to no threat!
"Capture them all!" Elysia extended her hand forward.
"We’ve captured them and put a slave seal in their souls. Unfortunately, only nineteen are alive." Elena dragged the last captured demon and threw him to join the other prisoners.
"It can’t be helped. This blue demon went crazy and stomped several demons to death. Hey, make yourself smaller or I shall reduce you myself." Sylvia slapped the captured Demon King. After he became smaller in size, she tied him up.
"You, just tie me up with a proper method. It’s so humiliating! You’ve beaten me up severely and invaded my spiritual sea with a slave seal already!" Demon King Obel felt extremely humiliated as he was tied up with a bondage technique and hung upside down.
If he knew the foxes in this hidden village were filled with many powerful warriors, some of whom were even at the pinnacle of mortal power rank, he would obviously slap his greedy thoughts and force himself to stay at home.
"Shut up. You should know your place." Yuuki threw an ice crystal, freezing the Demon King’s mouth as a warning. It would have always been the foxkin to be preyed upon, but the situation turned around now.
"Who, who are you? What do you want by luring us into your trap, seniors? Have I ever offended you?" Demon Queen Azril looked up with fear and worry. She had no energy left, but she at least needed to know who she had offended to deserve this treatment.
"Since you came here to cause trouble, then you should be prepared to face the consequences." Luna grabbed the captured Demon Queen’s head.
"Should we pay the force behind them a visit now?" Ai glanced at the two 10th Rank demons. They both were unlucky to come personally, but they were also lucky enough because they would be their lackeys and big fish to harvest.
"Yes, the night is getting late. Let’s double the trouble and let the world know our presence. The foxkin who preyed on the strong." Elysia nodded in agreement. 𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙥𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝙤𝒎
Once the initial stage was done, Elysia and her family members brought the captured demons and beasts to their respective backgrounds one by one. They came with an overwhelming force and caused a scene to suppress the said forces as a warning. After that, they released the badly injured prisoners as the seeds of conspiracy had to be sown.
It had to be done to inflict fear on the world as everyone should know that the foxkin could take over the dominance as the predators as well.
The last places to visit were the territory belonging to Demon King Obel and Demon Queen Azril. Since their territories were adjacent, Elysia took them to the border between the two territories.
Different from the other captured demons who could get released after a slave seal engraved in their souls so they would carry out a particular task... these two Demon Kings were the big bosses, the big fish to take the major roles in the future scheme.
"No fox demons can be found. A little different from the Terra World, the monsters here devoured the foxes as nutrients." Ai emerged from the void to report the situation from the Demon King’s palace.
"Hmm, the rule of the jungle, huh... Demon Kings, I need you to do a few things for us." Elysia crossed her arms, and glared at the bound Demon Kings.
"What do you want? Just kill us if you wish for it." Demon King Obel gritted his teeth. Death was just another form of life. His soul essence could always escape and start anew.
"You should be thankful because we spared you despite your great offense. If you die by our hands, the true death won’t be so pleasant. Not even your soul can escape~" Elena ignited a white flame on her palm, the fire that could burn someone to the last bit of their soul.
"!!!" Demon King Obel and Demon Queen Azril were terrified. If even the soul couldn’t escape, then death would mean no more chance of revival. The true death was something anyone would be afraid of!
"We need you to do something for us. But before that, tell us more about the thirteen Demon Kings and the six Great Demon Kings of Hell." Elysia looked the Demon Kings in the eye, exuding her oppressive divine aura.
