At Dylan's house.

Jin was greeted by Dylan and Erika at the door, who expressed their condolences for what had happened and guided him to the sitting room.

Dylan soon brought two cups and a bottle of rum while Erika busied herself with kitchen work.

After the two of them downed, a couple of glasses Dylan finally asked, "Now, tell me, what did the police tell you?"

"They said that they'll do their best to catch the murderer, but now I've lost hope on that," Jin said as he took a sip.

"Huh? Why? It hasn't even been a whole day since the investigation started," Dylan said.

"That 's because the murderer has left the country," Jin snorted.

"Left the country? How do you..No tell me everything from the start," Dylan asked inquisitively.

Jin sighed and said, "You remember the terrorists I captured on that flight?"

"Of course! That incident gave you so much fame, that's why we were able to catapult you into this industry easily," Dylan replied with excitement.

"Those terrorists escaped a few days ago from the prison, and the one who murdered Fana was their leader. He did all this to get back at me," Jin's mood dulled.

"WHAT?" Dylan expressed his shock since the news channels didn't mention anything about the murderer and had only mentioned that the police were still investigating his identity.

"It's natural for you not to know about it. They are keeping it under wraps for now. Revealing this would incur more public outrage against the police since they are already in the limelight after these very prisoners managed to hijack a plane today and escaped the country," Jin answered calmly.

"This is so messed up!" Dylan grabbed his head in anger and frustration when he thought about the fact that the police were still bothered about their image after allowing such heinous criminals to escape.

"Dinner's ready!" Erika's voice soon came from inside, making the two of them go to the dining room.

There, just beside the table, a few weeks old baby was lying in a cradle. Looking at the baby, Jin smiled and said, "Hello, George, how are you?"

The baby just giggled in response to Jin's words, making Jin smile as well.

"This is your first time meeting George after Erika delivered, right?" Dylan asked as he picked George up and placed him on his arms.

"Yes, you've asked me to visit before, but I was busy with some personal matters back then," Jin replied.

"Dad, I also want to carry George," Richy, who was engrossed in watching television in the bedroom all this while, said while running towards them.

Seeing Dylan and Richy interacting, Jin was suddenly reminded of Diana, and guilt flooded his anguished heart. 𝓃ℴ𝓋𝓹𝓊𝓫.𝒸𝓸𝓂

"Why are you three still standing? Come, have a seat," Erika said as she placed the cutlery on the table for everyone.

The table was all set, and they started their dinner together.

"So, Richy, how was your school day?" Jin asked Richy, who was sitting on the other end table,"

"Bad! The teacher…she gave us all so much homework. My hands are aching because of it," Richy complained and showed the palm of his right hand to Jin in an aggrieved fashion.

Jin chuckled, seeing him like this and replied, "So eat well, alright? Your hands will recover much faster if you do so, got it?"

"Yes, uncle, I will," Richy soon busied himself with the food, bringing a smile to everyone's faces.

"He's speaking much more fluently than earlier," Jin told Erika.

"Yes, I'm putting in extra efforts into tutoring him daily in the evening since he was slower in language when compared to other kids his age. I'm glad that its working," Erika said with relief apparent on her face.

They then chatted on some miscellaneous things until the dinner was finished.

While Erika was winding up with everything on the table Jin mentioned something to Dylan.

"Dylan, I have a favour to ask you," Jin said.

"Yes, what is it?" Dylan asked.

"About my shooting for the next film, can you convince Mr Anderson to complete all my shots quickly. I wanted to take a break from filming, but since I've already given my words to Mr Anderson, I wanted to at least finish this work before going," Jin explained.

"Hmm. I'll talk to him about this tomorrow morning, so no worries. He'll most likely agree to it, but are you sure you don't want to take a break now?" Dylan asked with concern.

"Yes, I'd rather keep myself busy the following few days than sit idly," Jin said.

"Alright then," Dylan nodded.

The clock was nearing half past eleven, and seeing this, Dylan soon guided Jin to his bedroom and said, "Rest well, Jin, see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, good night," Jin replied as he closed the door. He wanted to confirm something, so he picked out his other phone from his inventory and checked the KIA app.

Seeing that no further intimation regarding the Training Academy has been made he sighed in relief.

'I'd better finish off my shooting as fast as possible since I don't know when they'll call me,' Jin thought to himself.

Since the Training Academy was in Umi, Jin was now even more eager to go than before.

"Rogan, don't you die before seeing me." A ruthless glint appeared in Jin's eyes as he muttered those words.

He soon changed into a set of comfortable clothes provided by Dylan and went to sleep.

When Jin woke up the next day, the television channels were no longer as eager about Fana's murder since they had gotten a fat piece of news about a plane hijack and were busy savouring it.

After having breakfast at Dylan's place, Jin went to Fana's house. The police were done with the investigation, and since the video footage made everything clear, Jin was no longer barred from entering.

He entered the house, packed all his essential items in his suitcase and left soon after. He had no intention of living here any longer.
