Chapter 105: Chapter 105 You’re going to be my queen
Lucas started chewing, his eyes widened, and his breathing quickened.
He gulped down the food and looked at Vincent blankly.
"I would rather drink your poison than eat the food you made." Lucas said.
Vincent tilted his head, confused.
"What do you mean?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I-I have never eaten such food in my life... I should have died before eating this... I feel like my body is shutting down." Lucas said, clutching his heart.
Kyra remained silent, her thoughts mirroring Lucas’s distress.
Vincent took a bite from his plate, his expression changing. "I did make it right! I think your vegetables are too sweet," he said, defending his cooking.
Lucas: "..." I’m having kidney failure!
Kyra : "..." I am mute.
"I’m poisoned... You—you! How much sugar and oil did you put in the vegetables, and why did you fry ginger?" Lucas pointed accusingly at Vincent.
"Kyra, is he telling the truth?" Vincent asked softly, and Kyra nodded in confirmation.
"You cooked great for your first time; you still have room for improvement." Kyra said, trying to encourage him as she saw his face darken.
"You’re overreacting, wolf! It’s just my first try, and I made such good food." Vincent retorted, giving Lucas a challenging look.
"First try? I asked you before if you know cooking, you nodded your head. Why didn’t you tell me before?" Lucas asked angrily.
"I have watched others cooking a little." Vincent said expressionlessly.
"..."
"You should have told me! At least I cooked some edible food." Lucas cried, and Kyra patted his back comfortingly.
"Shh... I tasted the meat, it was edible. We can eat that," Kyra said softly.
Lucas looked at her with his wet and watery eyes.
’I regret giving the cooking task to Vincent! In the future, no matter what, I will never let him enter the kitchen,’ he thought to himself.

After eating the edible meat made by Vincent, Kyra checked Lucas’s injury.
It was almost healed, but he still had the marks of wounds, a testament to his strength.
Kyra didn’t have anything else to do, so she took the graphite stick and papers that Kyle had already left on the table.
She twirled the graphite stick between her fingers.
she started drawing blueprints with a graphite stick. She was thinking about going in a space capsule.
"You will come and stay with me in the Venomcrest Tribe, right?" Vincent asked as he sat beside her, watching Kyra sitting on the floor with her legs crossed.
Kyra’s hands paused as she raised her head, her red locks falling on her cheeks.
"I don’t know," she muttered softly. "But I would love designing our house. I still have to ask Lucas if he wants to leave here or not."
"I will go wherever you go," Lucas said, coming from the room holding some cloth. "Anyway, I’m fine with living with snakes." he said with a grin.
"Of course you are," Vincent said, rolling his eyes.
He knew Lucas was an expert at making friends, and Lan and Jimmy were still missing him.
Lucas playfully stuck out his tongue as he strolled toward them, observing Kyra meticulously engrossed in her designs.
She was busy sketching the blueprint for the back area and fencing, jotting down notes as she worked.
"Do you have any other ideas I should consider?" Vincent inquired.
"Yeah! I’m thinking, why not open some shops so our tribe can trade goods?" Kyra suggested, meeting his gaze with determination.
"I’m not sure if outsiders would be interested in buying from us, but I don’t want them entering our tribe." he expressed, cautious of outsiders.
"No, I mean we could set up shops outside the tribe, and have some inside where we sell goods bought from outside at a slightly higher price. That way, we can generate some income." Kyra explained, her tone serious.
Seeing his continued confusion, she elaborated, "After building the tribe and opening shops, we could organize a big event and invite people from other tribes for a celebration. This would help build relationships and make it easier to acquire goods. Plus, we could showcase the things we want to sell. I’ll even design some shops." she added, gesturing with her graphite stick.
Vincent couldn’t help but admire Kyra’s intelligence and creativity.
She seemed so mysterious, and her ideas were truly unique.
He couldn’t shake off the fear that other might might be drawn to her because of her beauty and talent.
"Your idea is brilliant! I’ll do as you say." Vincent agreed.
"And I also think it’s a good idea to build a school for kids to learn everything that experienced Beast knows. That way, the younger generation can learn to be careful," Kyra suggested.
"Your ideas are so original! You’re going to make a great queen." Vincent complimented, gently rubbing her head.
"Queen?" Kyra blushed.
"Of course. I’m the king of Venomcrest Tribe, and you’re going to be my queen," Vincent declared, tucking a stray strand of her hair behind her ear.
"And what am I going to be?" Lucas piped in from behind, wrapping his arms around Vincent’s shoulders.
"Nothing." Vincent replied bluntly, prompting Lucas to roll his eyes and retort, "If Kyra is queen, then I am her king."
"You fool! Have you ever heard of two kings? Besides, you’re a wolf, not a snake," Vincent remarked.
"So what? Every snake is going to be my friend and brother. I’ll treat them well." Lucas grinned, playfully shaking Vincent from side to side.
"Get off me," Vincent grumbled.
"Nope!" Lucas chuckled, hugging Vincent’s neck tighter.
"You freaking wolf, get off me. I don’t like physical touches." he declared, attempting to shake off Lucas, who was still clinging to him.
"Then never touch Kyra in the future," Lucas retorted smugly, refusing to budge.
"F*ck you." Vincent spat, frustration evident in his tone as he finally managed to pry Lucas off him.
Kyra couldn’t help but chuckle as she watched the playful banter between the two. It amazed her how close they had become, chatting and bickering like old friends.
However, her expression turned serious when she heard voices outside the cottage, indicating a gathering crowd.
