Damon’s brows furrowed, confused by Kyra’s words. "You mean heat?" he asked.

"Y-yes." she replied, her voice trembling. no𝚟𝚙u𝚋.c𝚘m

His heart tightened at the thought of her distress. "Little thing, wait for me and lock the door. Don’t open it until I come back." he said, urgency in his voice as he quickly ran out of the house.

He wasn’t sure what females used during their heat, but he knew one place to find out: the healer.

Damon sprinted through the snowy landscape, his breath visible in the cold air. The path to the healer’s house was familiar, but today it felt longer.

His mind raced with worry for Kyra. She was in an unfamiliar place, vulnerable and in need of help.

He reached the healer’s house, Smoke rose from the chimney, a sign that the healer was home. Damon knocked on the heavy wooden door.

The door creaked open, and old healer looked him in suprise "Damon, what brings you here in such a hurry?" he asked.

"Healer, I need your help. My female... she’s in heat, but she has nothing to use for it. What do I do?" Damon asked, his voice urgent.

The healer raised an eyebrow, understanding dawning on her face. "Ah, I see. Come in, come in," he said, ushering him inside. he moved with practiced ease, gathering supplies from various shelves. "These are sanitary cloths. Make sure she changes them regularly and stays clean. And give her this tea—it’ll help with the pain."

Damon watched closely, committing his instructions to memory. "Thank you," he said, relief flooding through him.

"Take care of her, Damon. Periods can be tough, especially in a new environment," the healer advised.

He nodded, quickly making his way back to Kyra with the supplies.

He found her huddled on the bed, looking pale and uncomfortable. "I’m back," he said softly, entering the room and closing the door behind him.

Kyra looked up, her eyes filled with a mixture of relief and embarrassment.

Damon handed her the sanitary cloths and the tea. "The healer said this will help. Change these regularly and drink the tea for the pain."

Kyra took the items, her hands trembling slightly. "Thank you, Damon." she said quietly asn ran in bathroom again.

Damon took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. Her scent was intoxicating, almost making him lose his grip.

His eyes darkened, a primal urge stirring within him. Knowing he needed to keep control, he quickly left the room, deciding to cook something warm and comforting for her.

In the kitchen, Damon focused on preparing a hearty meal. He chopped vegetables and set a pot of stew simmering on the stove.

The familiar task helped him regain his composure. He knew Kyra needed nourishment, especially in her condition.

Kyra came down the stairs, moving slowly. The pain in her stomach was a dull throb, and her breasts felt tender. Her thighs ached with every step. She wrapped a blanket around herself and shuffled into the kitchen, drawn by the comforting aroma of food.

Damon glanced up as she entered, concern etched on his face. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his voice gentle.

Kyra gave a small, strained smile. "Better, I think. But it still hurts a lot." she admitted, her voice weary.

Damon nodded, ladling the stew into a bowl and handing it to her. "Eat this. It should help," he said, watching as she took a tentative spoonful.

The warm food eased some of her discomfort, and she felt a bit of strength returning. "Thank you, Damon," she said softly, grateful for his care.

Damon sat across from her, his eyes never leaving her face. "Just focus on getting better, Kyra. I’m here for you." he reassured her.

She nodded, feeling a bit more at ease with each bite. The pain was still there, but Damon’s presence and the warm meal made it a little more bearable.

She looked at him and took another bite, her thoughts starting to change. This dragon wasn’t as bad as she had initially thought. He was clearly good.

The excitement of finally getting her period quickly faded as Kyra felt the pain intensify throughout the night, making it impossible to sleep. She curled up, feeling cold and miserable as the pain in her stomach became unbearable.

Damon noticed her discomfort and, without a word, pulled her towards him. She looked at him in shock, but his face remained calm and expressionless.

His large, warm hands gently started to rub her stomach, the warmth and pressure providing some relief from the pain.

Kyra’s eyes fluttered closed as she let out a soft sigh, the soothing motion of his hands easing her discomfort.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Damon didn’t respond verbally, but his actions spoke volumes. He continued to rub her stomach.

Slowly, the warmth from his hands and his steady breathing began to lull her into a more relaxed state.

Damon didn’t sleep all night, knowing her heat smell might attract some single beasts lurking nearby, eager for a chance with her. He stayed by her side, never leaving her presence for even a second.

As dawn broke, the news of a new female in the tribe spread quickly. Most of the males, excited and curious, began to roam around Damon’s house, hoping to catch a glimpse of Kyra.

Damon’s protective instincts kicked in even harder. He kept a vigilant watch, his eyes constantly scanning the area for any signs of danger. His body remained tense, ready to fend off any potential threats.

Kyra, still in pain but aware of the commotion outside, looked at Damon with concern. "What’s happening?" she asked, her voice weak.

"Just some curious males," Damon replied, his tone reassuring yet firm. "Don’t worry, little thing. I won’t let anyone near you."

She nodded, trusting him completely.

On the third day of her period, Kyra felt relieved as the pain subsided. She finally managed to get out of bed and walked towards the window, curious about the world outside.
