Chapter 212: Chapter 212 He has gone through so much
"Oh no, since Vince is going into hibernation at night, we should do something meaningful all day," Lucas suggested, wiggling his brows mischievously.
"What do you mean?" Kyra asked, looking at him confused.
"Like date when we went boating at the lake, we should have a special day for Vince," Lucas said, his excitement clear. "A day out date today, just for him."
"There’s really no need," Vinecnt said, shaking his head.
Damon, feeling left out, stood up, his expression darkening as he prepared to leave the room. He felt the sting of being excluded from their plans.
"No date, Lucas. Maybe an outing," Kyra said, shaking her head. "We should also take Damon. He’s helped me so much."
Her heart ached at the thought of leaving Damon alone. She didn’t want him to feel left out or unappreciated.
Vinecnt’s face darkened, but Lucas thought she was right. In their absence, it was Damon who had taken care of Kyra, and it was mean to exclude him.
"Okay then, it’s set," Lucas said, rubbing his palms together.
"I will arrange lunch," Damon said as he stood up. Many Beastmen had already started returning to their usual lives, but he wasn’t sure if he could find any food in the market or ration shop of the council.
"I will also come," Vinecnt said. He didn’t want to feel like a burden staying under Damon’s roof and letting him do all the work, so he followed.
As they left, Kyra and Lucas were left alone.
Lucas turned to Kyra with a playful grin. "Well, it’s just the two of us now. What do you want to do while we wait?"
"Let’s... cuddle. I haven’t hugged my wolf for months," Kyra said, laughing. Lucas didn’t even hesitate to lock the door.
"Oh my god, Luca!" Kyra squealed as he lifted her in a bridal style. He ran upstairs with her in his arms, making her laugh and hug his neck tightly.
He kicked open the door and jumped onto the bed with her, his excitement palpable. He hugged her tightly, and she giggled, feeling his warmth.
"Oh no, please, Luca! You’re tickling me," she muttered as she buried her face in his chest. His fingers traced feather-light touches on her stomach, making her squirm and laugh.
"Just missed you so much," Lucas said softly, his voice filled with emotion as he held her close.
Kyra’s laughter subsided, replaced by a contented sigh. "I missed you too, Luca. So much."
They lay there, wrapped in each other’s arms, savoring the moment. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them in a cocoon of warmth and love.
Lucas’s fingers continued their gentle caress, tracing patterns on her skin. "You know, I’ve been dreaming of this moment," he confessed. "Just being close to you again."
Kyra looked up at him, her eyes soft and filled with love. "Me too. It feels like everything is right again."
He leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I promise I’ll always be here for you, Ky-ky. No matter what."
She smiled, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. "And I’ll always be here for you, my wolf."
They stayed like that for a long time, holding each other, whispering sweet nothings, and relishing the simple joy of being together.
"What happened when I wasn’t with you? How did you find me? It’s been such a long journey, right?" Kyra asked, finding a comfortable position in Lucas’s arms.
She nestled into his side, her head resting gently on his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. His arm wrapped around her, holding her close, while his other hand traced soothing circles on her back.
"Hmm...yeah, I almost lost Vince," Lucas said, his eyes dimming at the memory.
Kyra’s heart dropped, and her eyes became misty. "What happened?"
Lucas replayed what happened and how an evil female had tried to take advantage of Vinecnt.
"And how did you save him?" Kyra asked, feeling angry at those females. She thought about asking their tribe to deal with those vicious women.
"Oceanus, he was a healer who found us. In return, he asked for something from us," Lucas said, his lips twitching as he remembered.
"What did he ask?" Kyra asked curiously.
"He just wanted a stable and good place to live and to be a healer because he was bored of his ocean," Lucas said, recalling that day. "Then we gave him our tribe’s address, and Oceanus showed us the way out of Emerald Bay. He left for the tribe with a beast whom he saved once, and that beast was ready to drop him off at the address."
Kyra listened intently, feeling a mix of gratitude and frustration. "I can’t believe you went through so much. I wish I could have been there to help."
Lucas hugged her tighter. "You were the reason we kept going. Knowing we had to find you kept us strong."
Kyra smiled softly, her heart swelling with love and pride for her mates. "I’m so grateful for all of you."
Lucas kissed her forehead gently. "And we’re grateful for you, Ky-ky. You’re our light in the darkness."
They stayed there, holding each other.
"I want to thank Oceanus," Kyra said softly. "He helped save you both." 𝚗ov𝚙𝚞𝚋.c𝚘m
"We’ll make sure he knows how grateful we are," Lucas promised. "He deserves our thanks and more."
"And those females who tried to hurt you and Vins," Kyra added, her voice firm. "We’ll deal with them too."
Lucas nodded. "Yes, not only did they take advantage of him, but they also falsely accused him and had the whole tribe try to beat him. They even scarred his cheek."
Kyra covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes. "He has gone through so much," she said, her voice thick with emotion.
"Yeah, and I hate it when someone calls Vince feral! Are they blind? Vince is so caring. He might look tough and Cold on the outside, but he’s so sweet and soft inside. I feel so bad for him. I just want to beat the crap out of anyone who calls him feral," Lucas said angrily.
Kyra reached out and placed a comforting hand on Lucas’s arm. "We’ll make sure he’s safe and happy from now on. No one will hurt him again."
Lucas nodded, his anger softening into determination. "We’ll protect him, just like he protects us."
