Chapter 241: Chapter 241 *Damon POV Special*

Damon pov

Lucas stood up, his expression a mix of worry and defiance. "No, where are you taking my Ky-ky? I’m worried about her," he said, his eyes darting between me and Kyra.

He turned to Kyra, his voice softer now. "What do you think?" he asked.

Kyra glanced at me, then at Lucas. I could see the inner conflict in her eyes, and it frustrated me even more. I needed this time alone with her, away from the meddling wolf.

"Luca," Kyra began, her voice firm but gentle, "I appreciate your concern, but Damon and I need to talk. It’s important."

Lucas looked at her with an expression of hurt and confusion. "But Ky-ky—"

"No, Luca," Kyra said, cutting him off. "We need some time alone. You should stay here and rest."

Lucas’s face fell, but he nodded reluctantly. "Okay," he said quietly, casting one last, longing look at Kyra.

I watched as Lucas sat back down, a mix of disappointment and resignation on his face. Once he was seated, I turned my full attention to Kyra. "Let’s go," I said, my voice softer now, but my impatience still clear.

Kyra looked at me, her face calm, without much expression, but I could sense there was something on her mind. My heart clenched with a sudden fear—was she going to reject me? The thought alone made my stomach churn, but I pushed it aside, hoping I was wrong.

"Take rest, Luca," Kyra said softly, turning to Lucas with a tenderness that made my blood boil. Then, she leaned in and kissed his cheek.

All I saw was red. The jealousy that surged through me was overwhelming. The urge to grab Lucas by the throat and beat him into the ground was nearly impossible to resist. But I held back, barely. If only I could teach that wolf a lesson, make him understand that Kyra was mine now.

Kyra’s gaze shifted back to me, pulling me out of my dark thoughts. "Let’s go," she said, her voice steady.

I nodded, trying to focus on the fact that she was coming with me, not Lucas. But the image of her kissing him, even if it was just a simple gesture, stayed in my mind, fueling the fire within me.

I walked outside, the cool evening air hitting my face as I stepped out of the house. Kyra followed me silently, her presence a comforting shadow behind me. The sky was tinged with the soft colors of dusk, and I felt a slight headache beginning to form at my temples. Pushing the discomfort aside, I shifted into my dragon form, my body expanding and muscles tightening as scales replaced skin.

I turned my head to look at Kyra, my silver eyes meeting hers. Without a word, she approached and climbed onto my back, her small hands gripping my scales with a familiarity that sent a surge of warmth through me. As soon as she was settled, I spread my wings and launched into the sky, the ground disappearing beneath us as I ascended quickly.

I flew higher, my wings carrying us toward the distant peaks of a mountain shrouded in evening mist. The landscape below became a blur as I focused on our destination, a place I had discovered long ago but never shared with anyone—until now. The air grew colder as we ascended, but I kept Kyra close, shielding her from the chill with the warmth of my body.

As we neared the mountain, I started my descent, folding my wings slightly before landing gracefully on a secluded ledge. The ground was rough beneath my claws, but I recognized this place well. Kyra slid off my back, and I shifted into my human form, my feet meeting the cold stone.

Without a word, I led her through a hidden passage, a narrow trail that wound through the mountainside. The path was dark and secretive, known only to me, and I could sense Kyra’s curiosity as she followed closely behind. I glanced back at her, but her face was unreadable, though I could feel her anticipation.

After a few minutes, the narrow passage opened up into a vast chamber hidden deep within the mountain. As we stepped inside, a soft, warm glow filled the space. I watched Kyra’s reaction as she took in the sight before her—her eyes widening with amazement.

In the center of the chamber was a warm waterfall, its crystal-clear waters cascading gently into a shimmering pool below. The air was warm and humid, filled with the soothing sound of the water’s flow. But it wasn’t just the waterfall that caught Kyra’s attention. Her gaze traveled upward, and I followed her eyes to the walls of the cavern.

The entire surface of the mountain’s interior was studded with colour full jades—red, blue, and yellow—gleaming brightly in the dim light. The jades reflected the water’s glow, creating a mesmerizing display of color that danced across the walls. Kyra’s breath caught in her throat as she turned in a slow circle, her wide eyes taking in every detail.

In one corner of the chamber, gold and silver, along with other precious jewelry, were piled high in chests that looked as though they might overflow at any moment. The sight of such opulence, so casually displayed, was almost too much to grasp. Each piece, meticulously arranged and glinting in the soft light.

I couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride as I watched her reaction. The jades, diamonds, and pearls that adorned the walls and corners were treasures I had collected over the years, each one carefully chosen and placed whenever I found the time. I had spent countless hours decorating this space.

This wasn’t the only place I had done this; there were other hidden chambers filled with my collections, each one unique and meticulously arranged.

I’ve always had a fondness for designing my own clothes, and my love for shiny things only added to the allure of these treasures. The way the jades glittered in the soft light, the way the diamonds caught every glimmer, it all spoke to something deep inside me. This place was a part of me, and now, Kyra had become my mate, and I wanted to share this part of my life with her.

But as I looked at her face, still locked in shock and wonder, I felt a pang of confusion. I couldn’t quite read her expression, and it made me uneasy. I had expected her to be impressed, maybe even delighted, but this... I wasn’t sure what to make of it. Was she overwhelmed? Did she not understand the significance of what I was showing her? Or was it something else entirely?
