Chapter 304: Chapter 304 Lost in her sight

"Is that why her stomach still looks flat?" Lucas asked, his concern evident. "How old is her baby? Can you tell?"

Oceanus examined Kyra’s stomach thoughtfully. "Yes, the flatness could be due to the extended gestation period," he explained. "Based on my assessment, I’d estimate the baby is around one month to a month and a half old." Lucas nodded.

"It makes sense," Lucas said, nodding thoughtfully.

"So when Kyra wakes up, we’ll move to a safe place," he continued, but Oceanus shook his head.

"No, the air here is highly toxic, and she’s already inhaled too much. We should take her to the nearby city. I know the way," Oceanus stated, his tone firm. He then turned his gaze to Damon. "Are you wingless? I mean, you clipped your original wings in beastman form, but your dragon wings must still be intact, right?"

"Hm," Damon replied, his expression darkening. He had never liked those ancient wings. They felt like a burden, and he had willingly clipped them for Kyra, believing it was worth it. The memory of those wings only reminded him of a curse he wished to forget.

"Then Kyra’s magic healing ability must have healed you, right?" Oceanus said, his voice smooth and alluring as he spoke her name. "I’m not surprised she’s the destined person to hold the world key."

"How do you know?" Lucas asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Have you heard of subconscious and deep spritual connections?" Oceanus replied, giving Lucas a lazy smile.

"No," Lucas admitted.

"Then understand that, and come back to ask me again," Oceanus replied, his tone teasing.

"STOP talking; you’re disturbing her rest," Damon interjected, gesturing for everyone to leave the room.

"Of course, she needs to rest," Oceanus conceded, but his tone turned serious. "However, we need to move quickly. Given the magnitude of what just happened, tribes nearby will surely hear the news. We need to leave soon."

"Sure, but Ky-Ky needs rest too and sh..." Lucas hesitated, glancing at Kyra’s resting form. Oceanus raised his hand, cutting Lucas off. His turquoise eyes locked onto Lucas’s blue ones, a silent command passing between them. Lucas fell silent, watching Oceanus’s lips curl into a knowing smile before he turned his attention to Damon, whose sharp gaze was still fixed on him.

"Damon will carry Kyra, and you put this thing back where it belongs," Oceanus instructed, "Then, you can sit on Damon’s back with Kyra. That way, she’ll get some rest during the journey."

Damon nodded, carefully lifting Kyra off the bed. She murmured something under her breath, her small fist curling against his chest as she instinctively sought his warmth. Damon leaned closer, his ear near her lips, catching the faint whisper of his name. "Umm... Damon..." she mumbled, her voice soft and tired. Hearing her call for him made his heart ache in the sweetest way. He pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, cherishing the moment.

Simon, watching from the side, felt a pang of loneliness. Seeing Damon and Kyra so close made him realize just how single he was. His eyes drifted to Kyra’s beautiful face and her enchanting figure. Maybe he should find a mate too. Or perhaps... he could try to win Kyra over. The thought lit up his eyes with a mischievous glint as he followed behind Damon, contemplating his next move.

Meanwhile, Lucas grabbed a blanket from the bed, his focus elsewhere. Oceanus glanced at him, curiosity piqued.

"Hey... where can I get a space like this?" Oceanus asked, admiring the capsule’s advanced interior and furniture.

"It’s not for sale, and no one’s selling anything like it," Lucas replied flatly. "It’s a private invention."

"I see," Oceanus said, his interest genuine. "Your tribe is well-developed. I’m impressed—it’s fantastic."

Lucas simply shrugged, not particularly interested in Oceanus’s admiration. For him, all that mattered was getting Kyra to safety, and nothing else.

"Hey, Damon, what’s her favorite color?" Simon began, his curiosity getting the better of him. "What does she like to do in her free time? What kind of food does she like? Her favorite fruit? And... what’s her favorite mating position...?"

Simon’s questions tumbled out one after another as he walked beside Damon, his cheeks tinged pink with embarrassment, though he couldn’t tear his gaze away from Kyra’s serene face. She was unlike any female he had ever seen—so beautiful, so delicate, and utterly mesmerizing. He couldn’t help but be captivated.

But Damon abruptly halted, his expression hardening as he turned to face Simon. His sharp, cold silver eyes locked onto Simon’s, filled with a dangerous intensity. Damon’s gaze was like a blade, slicing through the air with warning. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"One more question," Damon growled, his voice low and menacing, "and I won’t hesitate to shut your mouth with my fist."

Simon froze, his breath hitching in his throat as he raised his hands in surrender. "Chill, I’m just curious about females... I haven’t had contact with any, alright?" he muttered, though inside, he was cursing the "stinky dragon" under his breath for being so possessive.

Damon’s eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched as he took a threatening step closer, towering over Simon. "Keep your curiosity to yourself," he warned, his voice deadly calm, "or I’ll rip out your tongue and feed it to you. That way, you can satisfy your curiosity without running your mouth."

Simon watched Damon stride ahead, biting back another curse as he trailed behind. Lucas, meanwhile, had just finished shutting down the space capsule and quickly made his way to Damon’s side. With gentle care, Lucas took Kyra into his arms, her head resting against his chest.

Damon stepped away, his form rippling as he shifted into his dragon state, his majestic wings stretching wide, he is safe.

"Can you hold Ky-Ky and the blanket until I climb up?" Lucas asked Oceanus.

Oceanus nodded, reaching out to take Kyra gently from Lucas.

As Oceanus held her, his turquoise eyes flickered with an unreadable emotion. She felt so perfect, so delicate in his arms, her soft breaths brushing against his skin. He looked down at her peaceful face, her red hair cascading over his arm like flames. For a moment, he was lost in the sight of her—this rare, beautiful female who seemed to have captured everyone’s attention.

He held her close, savoring the brief moment before passing her back to Lucas, who climbed onto Damon’s back with care, positioning himself securely as he took Kyra back into his embrace.
