Chapter 324: Chapter 324 Playfull moment

"You okay?" Simon asked, standing up and watching Oceanus closely. But Oceanus didn’t respond; he walked further into the room, sat on the edge of the bed, and a strange expression flickered across his face.

Simon raised an eyebrow, sensing something off, but he didn’t push further.

Oceanus, on the other hand, was lost in his thoughts. He didn’t know why, but lately, there was this subtle pull toward Kyra, this unexpected attraction that he had never felt before. It caught him off guard. He wasn’t the type to get swept up in emotions.

Yet here he was, thinking about her more than he should.

To be honest, he never imagined feeling this way toward anyone, let alone someone like Kyra. She was different. There was something about her—a strength, a raw beauty that went beyond just her looks, although he had to admit, she was breathtaking.

And Oceanus wasn’t one to waste time dissecting these feelings. If he felt something, he acted on it. Simple. He wasn’t about to sit around sorting through his emotions like some lovesick fool. He was decisive, and if this attraction was real, he’d explore it.

Besides, there was something captivating about the way Kyra carried herself. She wasn’t just a pretty face. She was powerful, and that drew him in even more. He couldn’t deny it. And now, he found himself wanting to spend more time with her, to see where this newfound pull would lead.

With a half-smile, Oceanus leaned back, running his fingers through his hair. Whatever this was, he wouldn’t fight it. Instead, he’d see how far it could go.

After dinner, as night settled in, Kyra finally felt a sense of peace. All her mates were together, and the weight of recent events seemed to lift from her shoulders. Now, lying on the bed, she glanced down at Lucas, who had shifted into his wolf form and was curled up beside her.

Her hand instinctively moved to stroke his soft fur, gently rubbing his back and head. His thick coat was warm and comforting, and she couldn’t help but smile. Who could resist Lucas like this?

He was undeniably cute, with his big wolfish eyes closed in contentment, letting out soft huffs as he relaxed under her touch.

But most importantly, he was so fluffy. Fluffy in a way that made her hands feel like they were touching clouds. Each stroke through his fur felt heavenly, and it brought her a simple joy that she couldn’t quite describe.

Seeing Kyra enjoying Lucas’ fluffy fur, both Vincent and Damon couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy. Damon, determined to put aside his jealousy, glanced over at Vincent and decided to make the first move.

"Little thing likes furs, huh?" Damon asked, trying to sound casual.

Vincent nodded, though he too was struggling with his feelings. "Yes, Rainbow likes fur. That’s why she prefers cuddling with Lucas."

They both sighed at the same time, a rare moment of understanding passing between them.

"Sadly, we all have scales," they muttered in unison, turning to look at each other.

For the first time, they shared a brief, knowing glance—an unspoken agreement that they would both work to accept their new reality, no matter how strange it felt.

"Sigh... Tell me about you, how you and Ky-ky became mates," Damon said, his silver eyes locking with Vincent’s intense red ones.

Vincent, recognizing Damon’s effort to connect, gave a slight nod before beginning. "I’m a snake, a titanoboa. For most of my life, I was feral. My mother abandoned me when I was young, and as for my father... I have no idea. I grew up wild, destroying tribes with no real purpose," Vincent paused, his eyes narrowing slightly as memories surfaced. "Then, one day, my mother returned—with her other children. Some had already died, too weak and neglected to survive. Only Toma made it."

Damon remained silent, absorbing every word as Vincent continued. "That’s when I decided I had to give him a better future. I fought to remove the feral mark, but it wasn’t easy. I earned coins by competing in the Death Forest just to establish a tribe. Eventually, I earned the right to build one from Beast City, but under one condition—I couldn’t kill any beastmen."

Vincent’s gaze softened for a moment. "And that’s when I met Lucas..." His voice trailed off, as if considering the long journey that led to that moment, while Damon listened, understanding the hardships Vincent had endured and how their paths had intertwined with Kyra.

"I also grew up in the wild..." Damon began, his voice low and reflective. "My father abandoned me because he blamed me for losing my sister, Siri. But it all turned out to be Benjamin’s planning," he continued, his jaw tightening at the memory.

He then explained everything—the generations of deceit and ambition. How Benjamin, along with his father and grandfather, had been plotting for the world key.

"They’ve been trying to get inside the world key gate, but because they aren’t the destined ones, they can’t enter without the sacrifice of ancient wings, a feature long lost among the beastmen decades ago."

Vincent listened carefully, nodding slightly in understanding.

Kyra smiled softly, watching Vincent and Damon trying to get along. It warmed her heart to see the two powerful males putting their jealousy and possessiveness aside for her.

Her hand moved instinctively, rubbing Lucas’s fur as he lay beside her in his wolf form. He was clearly enjoying the attention, his tail wagging slightly. When he rolled over and exposed his belly, Kyra couldn’t resist. She began rubbing his soft, fluffy belly, and Lucas purred in contentment, his eyes half-closed in pure bliss.

"Who can resist you, huh?" she whispered, her heart feeling full as the room filled with the peaceful energy of everyone finally being together.

"Hey! No licking!" Kyra said, trying to sound stern, but there was a smile tugging at her lips. Lucas immediately stopped and looked up at her with his big, pitiful blue eyes, as if pleading for forgiveness.

Kyra sighed, unable to stay mad at him. "Fine," she muttered, giving him a gentle pat on the head. "But no more licking, got it?"

Lucas gave a small huff, clearly satisfied with the attention, before nuzzling closer to her.
