Before the word "mother" was completely out of her mouth, she was already in front of Mrs. Lin.

"Mrs. Lu," Mrs. Lin called out with a detached expression, "you should call me Mrs. Lin. Don’t lead people to misunderstand."
"How could there be any misunderstanding?" Ge Guifen was determined to make the Lin Family acknowledge this marital connection.
Even if the marriage hadn’t taken place yet, she needed Mrs. Lin to acknowledge it in advance.
To prevent the Lin Family from stalling, from not acknowledging now and gradually calling off the marriage altogether.

Some patients with severe conditions were not in the mood to watch their commotion.
But those with minor conditions, or even those nearly recovered, took interest and formed a circle to watch the gossip.
Even those dragging IV stands with needles still in the back of their hands squeezed in to see what was happening.
Nurses quickly came forward to maintain order, "Family member, please calm down. If there’s a problem, let’s go aside and talk it over slowly."
"I cannot solve this quietly. I want everyone here to know the true face of their family!" Ge Guifen sat down on the ground.
She wielded a hoe every day, strong and robust.
Once she was on the ground, the nurses couldn’t lift her up.

"Of course, you never said it explicitly, but neither have you ever agreed," Ge Guifen sneered with a cold laugh.
