Diana stared at the young boy. The more they chatted, the more her interest was piqued. Though it wasn't anything romantic, she just found him interesting. She couldn't help but chuckle again.
"Drunk on me? Haha, kid, you truly picked some strange lines from the internet. Don't waste it on me. You don't have any chance—though I am quite interested in discussing business with you," she said, taking the glass of wine and gulping it down.
"Business… Sure, let's talk about business, but how about we have a dance together before that?" Lucian asked, as he stood up from his seat. After bowing slightly, he extended his right hand towards her.
Diana stared at his hand for a few seconds. If it were someone else, she would have instantly rejected them while throwing insults. But she wanted to see how he would act.
If, in the name of dance, he tried to get touchy, then she would be disappointed and would put him in his place. Despite all their interaction so far, she felt that Lucian must be planning that—just like most other guys—but she was just too curious.
Then she placed her palm over his and stood up. Diana followed behind Lucian to the dance floor and stopped when he stopped at the corner where the crowd was low.
Then he turned to face her and held both her arms. Her palms felt soft and warm, and her natural sweet scent was enough to make one feel relaxed.
Diana was surprised. As they began to dance, not only did Lucian not try to take advantage, but his dance was refined and graceful. He moved slowly and in sync with the music.
She forgot about all the tests she had been imagining in her mind and just began to enjoy the dance. She noticed that he kept all the other men at a hand's distance away from her.
Lucian slightly leaned forward, bringing his lips close to her ear as his warm breath tingled her skin.
"Your moves are too seductive. Are you trying to charm me? Keep going, it might actually work."
"Hah. You sly fox. Aren't you too much for a kid? It almost feels like you are actually attracted to me. From whom did you get that tongue? Was your father a womanizer or did your mother teach you how to coax women?" Diana spoke, a current coursing through her body as Lucian's lips unconsciously brushed against her ear.
"Well, it's neither. Words just come out when I see someone as beautiful as you. As for my father—he's dead. And my mother, she is… a bitch. Not speaking literally, of course," Lucian replied casually, looking into her eyes.
"Oh…" Diana stopped dancing. It seemed that because of his words, the atmosphere had changed. They walked back towards their chairs and sat down.
"I'm sorry about your father," Diana spoke in a low voice.
"It's fine. It's been many years already. I was quite young when he died," Lucian replied, faintly displaying his emotions, seeing which Diana felt really bad for him, and a sense to console him rose in her heart.
"Why did you say that about your mother?" she asked while gently patting his shoulder.
"I don't want to remember that, but to tell you vaguely—she left me, and I had no one when I was so young. She enjoyed her life, and I barely managed to survive each day. People would be shocked to know that someone who lived in a slum-like place actually built such a big company," Lucian answered, his tone filled with emotion, making Diana feel more connected to him.
"What? She really is a bitch, then. How can she just leave you alone like that? She should have taken care of you. Did she leave after your father died? Was it because of a man?" Diana asked, feeling curious.
"It was before he died. And no, it wasn't because of a man. There were some other reasons. Anyway, let's not spoil the mood by talking about that woman. Why don't you tell me a little about yourself? I'm quite interested in knowing more," Lucian said, changing his tone to excitement. But Diana felt he might be pretending to hide the pain.
Clearing her throat, she nodded. "I'm Diana Brown. There's not much to know about me. I'm a divorcée and have no interest in getting into a relationship again. All my focus is on my company for now."
"Hmm… I'm not an astrologer, but I can say that in the near future, you might be changing that particular decision of yours. You already know, but I'm Lucian—the famous singer Gold and the owner of that futuristic gaming company. And yeah, I'd like to bond with you in both business and personal life." Lucian said and flashed a charming smile.
"Haha. Oh boy, can't you say a single line without trying to woo me? As I said, I'm really not planning to get in a relationship ever. But we can definitely bond in business," Diana said, chuckling lightly.
The people who knew her would be shocked to see her laughing in such a carefree manner. She was always so cold and strict, even her smiles seemed terrifying. And she never hesitated to ruin people's lives if someone tried anything.
"No matter what you say, I'm never going to give up on you. So you'd better accept me—otherwise, you might regret it later," Lucian said as he drank another shot of wine.
"Sigh. I don't understand why you're even trying with me. There is such a big age gap between us. Such a relationship is just impossible, so if you're seriously considering it, then you should give up. But I enjoyed talking to you, so let's share numbers… to discuss business," Diana winked as she took her phone out. She didn't know when, but she had really started acting a bit seductive towards him. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝒐𝒎
I can't believe a boy this age and as handsome as him would propose to a middle-aged woman. I do still look good, still… Diana glanced into a mirror and observed her own face and body. She brushed her hair back and couldn't help wondering if she really looked as beautiful as the boy in front of her kept exclaiming.
Even if she didn't know, receiving this type of attention from Lucian, who looked exceptionally good, made her feel a bit strange—special and young.
"So, lady of my dreams, why don't you give me a chance? Maybe you might end up accepting me in the end. But if nothing changes, then I'll definitely give up after five—no, ten dates, one wedding, and a few dozen years of living together," Lucian spoke, casually taking her soft hand into his own and teasingly caressing her skin.
"And what kind of chance do you want?" Diana asked, slightly leaning forward. She didn't know what came over her—maybe it was the wine, or maybe all of Lucian's talking had messed up her mind.
She grabbed Lucian's collar, and suddenly, her soft red lips were pressed against his.
Even Lucian was surprised as his senses flooded with the feeling of her warm and tender lips and her wafting fragrance.
"Is this what you want?"
