Hua Yan let out a sharp yell, retreating calmly.
The wand in her hands began to emit a dazzling magic glow.
When it condensed into a bright point, it shot out like a laser towards the pesky specter.
“Beam Strike!”
Unknown to her, after exhausting all her skills, both the hellhound and the centennial specter had entered a weakened state, entirely different from their full-power status; they were at their limits.
The specter watched helplessly as the laser hit it.
It had no strength to resist and, honoring its duty, it succumbed to death.
Having successfully hit her target, Hua Yan didn’t linger.
She continued to run and put distance between herself and the hellhound.
The wand in her hands turned flamy, and she launched a “Fireball”.
Just then, a burning piece of paper came sailing towards her.
It caught her off-guard and stuck to her face.
Well, it didn’t matter to me whether you were male or female, pretty or ugly.
If you went against me, you’d get a face full of burning paper!
“Bang!” “-87”

Hua Yan was taken aback when she was hit, realizing that there was another monster.
Her “Fire Shield” was still in cooling down and she had a tiny bit of her life force left she was in a desperate situation.
Hua Yan gritted her teeth, the wand glowing magnificently in her hand again, keenly observing her surroundings around Novice Village, wondering where the beast was hiding!
The hellhound, on the other hand, reflected the same weakness and was struggling.
It strived to fight against her with persistence just like an elderly dog.
Su Ran silently nodded due to its spirit.
While the hellhound was still able to counterattack, Su Ran slung another piece of burning paper, obnoxious as it could be.
Hua Yan’s eyes lit up!
She dodged the hellhound’s attacks and fired a “Fireball” straight towards the source of the burning paper.
Holy crap!
Su Ran had been basking in the glory of his perfect hideout, but when he looked up, a fireball, as big as a washbasin, was whirling towards him!
His life force, being as thin as paper, couldn’t endure such a hit!
Su Ran’s mind went blank.
“Bang!” “MISS”
Su Ran quickly stepped back, hiding himself again.
That was close.
His extraordinary agility had provided him with a good chance of dodging.
He had managed to escape death again…
“Bang!” “-87”
Hua Yan, who had dodged the hellhound’s bite before, wasn’t able to avoid the burning paper.
Already low on life force, she was dodging the hellhound that was now up close and personal.
Having no time even to grab a potion, she gritted her teeth, took an item out from the bag, and smashed it to the ground.

Suddenly, a straw man appeared in front of the hellhound, shielding Hua Yan, and withstanding the violent attack.
The hellhound felt rewarded after the successful attack, the straw man was turned into smoke and slowly vanished, but a large red number “-90” appeared above the hellhound’s head.
“Substitute Straw Man”
Used to take one-time damage on behalf of the host.
Attack reflect and the attacker suffers all the consequences.
Note: This is but a straw man, try and hit it if you can.
The hellhound’s life force was immediately reduced to zero, howling softly, it vanished into thin air along with the straw man, leaving no trace.
Time was of the essence for Su Ran.
If he allowed Hua Yan to fully recover her life force and reactivate her Fire Shield, it would be impossible for him to continue the spell.
Su Ran dashed out of the alley with a do-or-die mindset and threw a burning paper to the fiery mage Hua Yan.
At the moment of the hellhound’s death, Hua Yan had already taken out a Healing Potion and Mana Potion.
Just as she tilted her head back to drink the potions, she was knocked over by Su Ran’s burning paper, dropping two items and a few potions.
Su Ran was taken aback.
It turned out that she, too, was at the edge of her life.
Her magic power had drained entirely after a series of magic blasts, and her life force was near exhaustion.
If Su Ran had given her two more seconds, his little skull would have been done for.
Su Ran was left dripping in cold sweat.
The fight had been nerve-wracking.
This was certainly not a game for the faint-hearted…

He got up and killed the one remaining archer guard with attack power.
As expected, the moment the archer fell, the system notification rang out across the Divine Land.

The world channel began to roll with comments crazily again.
Su Ran was blissfully unaware, just standing dumbly in Novice Village.
He didn’t even have time to pick up the equipment that Hua Yan had dropped when the little skeleton suddenly disappeared.
The high-level Nutrition Cabin in the real world had been forced to disconnect, cutting him off from the game and kicking him back to reality.
The moment Su Ran left the game, the system notification sounded again, but sadly he didn’t have time to hear it.

Su Ran sat up in a daze from the high-level Nutrition Cabin, the first thing he saw was the anxious face of Mother Su.
Seeing that he was alright, and even in great spirits, she finally let her guard down, hugged Su Ran tightly, and tears uncontrollably streamed down her face.
