The slums of the desert town of Cutlass. The whole town was like a slum, but this area, inhabited by the poorest of the poor, was a lawless area where only violence rightly reigned.
“…ah…aaah…”
Occasionally, a moan escaped from the tiger man with shattered limbs, who repeatedly regained consciousness and fainted.
Under the blazing sun, with the sun rising directly overhead, several hungry gazes were directed at me, who was walking down the center of the street, dragging the man, from the half-collapsed buildings made of earth and stone that lined the periphery of the area.
No one would attack me even if I did not intimidate them. Perhaps they realized that the tiger man I was dragging was a member of the Munza Group and were trying to gauge my ability since I had half-killed him.
As I continued on, letting go of the feverish desire to kill that was mixed in the air, I saw a large stone mansion that was out of place with the surrounding buildings.
I wondered if that was the mansion of the Munza Group, the group in charge of this area.
My initial plan was to attack from the back and take Chaco away, but I decided to head straight for the mansion. As I approached with the man in tow, perhaps because of the murderous intent that was in the surrounding air, the two men guarding the gate, a cat and a dog beastmen, pointed spears in their hands at me.
“You, what are you doing!”
“Did you realize that you are approaching Batir-sama’s mansion… brother!”
One of the gatekeepers, realizing who the dragged man was, shouted out, and the tiger man who regained consciousness at the sound of his voice shouted out with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
“…This is the woman I told you about! Tell the young master! Geez, this is the end of you too, woman! You know how many people are here?”
“Shut up.”
“Gooh!”
I crush the man’s throat with my heel made of iron plate of magic iron. I’m done with him.
“You bastard!”
Seeing the tiger man spitting blood, the cat Spearman, whom he called brother, attacked me with his spear, and I instantly strengthened my body and tossed the tiger man in a straight line of the spear.
“Wha!?”
“—-!!!”
The gatekeeper’s spear pierced the man’s heart through the back, grabbing the cat-beastman’s head, which stiffened momentarily, and I followed up by smashing his head to the ground.
“–te, enemy attack!!!”
The other gatekeeper, who saved his life by failing to move, let out a shout in a voice that felt like he was breaking his throat.
A flurry of noise and a deadly atmosphere swelled up from inside the mansion. Dogs and cat beastmen with spears and swords burst through the door of the mansion, snarling at me as I stood by the two corpses.
“What the heck do you think you’re doing!”
“Brother, it’s the girl we were told about!”
“You’ve got to be kidding me! Don’t think you’re going to get off easy by challenging the Munza Group!”
“‘ll rip your guts out!”
“Wait!”
The beastmen were about to attack, but an intimidating voice stopped them.
From the terrace on the second floor facing this side of the mansion, a black panther-like cat-beast man appeared, holding half-naked beastmen women who appear to be his mistresses.
The cat-beastman, in his mid-thirties with a slender but toned body, stepped forward with his upper body naked, as if to show off his bulging muscles, and stared at me with silver eyes.
“Young Master! You bastard!”
“Shut up! So, you’re the girl, huh? If you’ve come all this way, I guess you got my message.”
The black panther man grinned as he looked at the dead man’s face. He was probably a Rank 4 with a fighting strength of about 1,200, although it was hard to be sure due to the distance.
He was one of the faces of the Munza Group’s thugs, Batir.
“Oh, two people dying to lure out one of you, that’s quite a high price to pay. What happened to the other two who were with him?”
“Dead.”
Batir raised one eyebrow at me as I answered casually.
“Well, I guess I’ll have to get the Kirli guys to pay for that, too. You look like you’ve got some skill, but do you understand what’s going on?”
“I’m just here to settle the score with these guys who attacked me.”
“You don’t care what happens to the little brat?”
“Either way, the outcome is the same. If you lose, I get what I want, and if you win, then that’s the end of the matter.”
“Well, that depends.”
The tension between Batir and I was so intense that it felt as if the temperature dropped slightly.
We glared at each other for a moment, then Batir laughed with his fangs out and called out to his minions.
