Tang Yu hurried out of the hall and stood on the steps, watching the tall figure approaching.
Each step was steady, his presence powerful.
He was as alerting as a ghostly apparition.
“You’re back? Have you eaten? Do you want some noodles?” Tang Yu asked cautiously, trying to please.
Ye Sihan just glanced at her coldly and went straight into the hall.
He didn’t head to his study but went upstairs instead.
It seemed he had already eaten outside.
“Would you like some coffee?” Tang Yu stood at the bottom of the staircase and looked up to ask.
Still, she received no response.
Watching as Ye Sihan’s figure disappeared into the corridor.
Then she thought, it made sense; if Ye Sihan wasn’t working, he wouldn’t need coffee.
Feeling dejected, Tang Yu returned to her room.
She didn’t want to go into Ye Sihan’s room at all.
It was almost like entering a demon’s lair, from which it was impossible to leave unscathed.
Besides, why should she try so hard to please Ye Sihan?
What had she done wrong?
Forget it, let him confine her till the end of the world if he had the guts!
After Ye Sihan finished his bath, the room was quiet.
No signs of anyone coming or going.
His expression immediately turned cold.
The next morning, Tang Yu didn’t go downstairs for breakfast and just slept. When the maid knocked on the door, she simply closed her eyes, unwilling to see or hear.
By noon, when the maid knocked again, Tang Yu asked her to bring lunch into her room.
Thus, she didn’t leave her room all day.
Either watching TV inside or sitting on the ground of the balcony, staring blankly in the distance.
When she grew tired of sitting, she would go to bed and sleep.
It had been the same for these past two days.
On the third day, Tang Yu woke up from her nap in a daze; the sky outside had turned grey.
She woke up feeling disoriented, not knowing what time it was.
Sensing an unusual atmosphere in the room, Tang Yu turned over in alarm.
Ye Sihan was standing silently by her bed, looking down on her with a lofty gaze.
Seeing it was him, Tang Yu lay back down.
“Get up.”
“I don’t feel well,” Tang Yu said with her back turned, her face half-buried in the blanket.
“Where don’t you feel well?”
“I don’t know. It might be gynecological, after all, you’ve been with another woman outside,” Tang Yu mumbled.
“…” Ye Sihan’s dark eyes narrowed with dangerous signals, and he abruptly pulled off her blanket, “Let me check.”
Startled, Tang Yu shrank back in fear, “You’re not a doctor, what are you checking?”
However, Ye Sihan’s long leg was already on the bed, and his large hand caught Tang Yu’s slender ankle, dragging her roughly underneath him—

With their faces inches apart, as their gazes met, Tang Yu felt an unnamed chord in her mind tremble.
Those sharp eyes were like black holes, seemingly sucking her in, immobilizing her.
Below her, the strong heartbeat from Ye Sihan’s firm chest could be felt.
She could quietly hear the rhythmic beating of his heart next to her ear.
There was a knock at the door, bringing Tang Yu back to her senses; she quickly scrambled off Ye Sihan.
As Ye Sihan sat up, he shot her a knowing glance.
The face he lifted was somewhat cold and stern, his voice deep and husky, “What is it?”
“Mr. Ye, those four kids from last time are here,” came Uncle Wen’s voice.
Ye Sihan’s dark eyes paused briefly, feeling the stiffness of the person next to him. His gaze involuntarily fell upon her face.
Tang Yu steadied her emotions, a look of bewilderment on her face, “What is Uncle Wen talking about?”
After Ye Sihan left, Tang Yu abruptly sat up.
What? The four little ones came? Did she hear that wrong?
But how is that possible? Who brought them?
Her cellphone on the bedside table rang, a call from Li Xue.
As soon as she answered, Li Xue’s anxious voice came through, “Tang Yu, the children have gone over to Ye Sihan’s place, the school leaders brought them there, saying the kids wanted to go.”
“What were they thinking? The kids want to go and they just go?” Tang Yu’s head hurt, her voice lowered.
“Shouldn’t be a problem, right?” Li Xue asked.
“I’m right here at Ye Sihan’s, what do you think?” Tang Yu conveyed the seriousness of the situation.
“Ah?” Li Xue thought she was still on the film set.
After hanging up the phone, Tang Yu didn’t dare to take even half a step out of the room, her heart in her throat.
Wondering why the four little ones would ask to come here? They aren’t familiar with Ye Sihan.
Could it be… they were coming for her?
After all, she hadn’t been home for so many days, and the last time, the four little ones saw her here.

Then the other three little ones came over too.
