Chapter 35 - An Impossible Mission
"Mom, has Brother Kai gone crazy in that short time?" Nana asked with a worried expression, tugging Liora's clothes repeatedly.
Liora naturally was also worried, as she thought that his son had gone crazy for real this time.
"Kai, are you okay? Is there something wrong?" Liora asked worriedly.
"We don't need to live in some fancy places like this. Besides, our home is still in a good place. Let's go back." Liora smiled bitterly, thinking that his son had gone crazy because he probably failed in getting some room for them.
When Kai was a few meters away from them, he stopped acting childishly and looked at them with a weird expression. "What are you guys thinking about? Let's go inside our new home."
Kai turned back and raised his hand, then walked forward, heading to the apartment.
When he noticed that no one followed him, he looked back and shouted in annoyance. "Come on, let's go. What are you waiting for!"
"Son, it's okay. We can go back to our original home that's far more comfortable than living in a place like this." Darius smiled bitterly when he looked at his son's messy state.
"What are you talking about?!" Kai frowned, looking at his father seriously this time.
"I mean, it's okay if you fail in something. People wouldn't always succeed in doing things, you know." Darius smiled and dropped motivational words.
Kai's frown deepened for a second, then he asked with a mocking smile. "Don't tell me that you guys think I've gone crazy because I failed in getting some room for us?"
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Kai laughed loudly as he put his palm on his forehead.
"You guys are underestimating me too much!" Kai sneered, then looked at his parents. "Not only have I succeeded, I've even become the landlord of this Selene Apartment."
Kai laughed happily for a few seconds before looking at the others with a serious expression. "Alright, let's stop the prank and move right away."
As Kai walked forward for a while, he still hadn't sensed someone was following him.
"Damn, actually?!" Kai was speechless and looked at them in anger.
"Cedric, go there and ask Selene Aurelius if this Celestine Apartment has become mine or not!" Kai ordered, gritting his teeth as his mood had been ruined now.
He continued, "I'll give you a room after this."
"This..." Cedric hesitated for a second before suddenly going toward the apartment when he noticed the killing intent emitted from Kai as he placed his hand on the sword.
A minute later...
When Cedric appeared on the street, everyone suddenly felt déjà vu when they saw Cedric jumping around happily like a kid as he thought about the room Kai had promised him just now.
"La la la la la."
"Ye ye ye ye ye."
"Ya ya ya ya ya."
Naturally, the sight of Cedric acting exactly like Kai couldn't escape the others' eyes.
"..."
Everyone was speechless as they couldn't help but wonder what had happened to them that made them become like that.
"I'll go check it myself." Uncle Liam suggested.
"If you dare to act silly like them, I'll beat you silly later." Liora looked at her older brother seriously.
Uncle Liam almost stumbled himself when he heard his younger sister's words.
More than a minute later...
Uncle Liam came back with his face facing down as he walked toward them. Everyone noticed that he seemed to mumble about something.
"What is it? Spill it!" Liora asked hurriedly.
"We're rich!" Uncle Liam laughed out loud, thinking that Kai wasn't actually lying.
Kai was just so happy that he couldn't help expressing his happiness like that, as he couldn't care about anything anymore since he was now extremely rich.
"Get lost! I'm the one who's rich!" Kai snorted and walked away toward the apartment.
Subsequently, they went towards the apartment together, surprising everyone, including Selene, but Kai ignored them.
Because the penthouse was Selene's place to stay, there were a lot of things that needed to be cleaned up.
That's why Kai decided that he would log in to Worldbreaker Online, as he guessed that it should take at least an hour or two for Selene to clean up the place.
Kai then had a talk with Cedric before going towards an internet cafe in the mall on the first floor of the Celestine Apartment.

After sorting everything out, Kai lay down in the capsule and took a deep breath before saying the command word. "Login."

Kai thought to himself while skipping all of the notifications, as he couldn't be bothered with useless things like them.
However, when Kai was about to skip the last part, he abruptly stopped his hand.
[Ding! You have met the criteria for the selection of the mission.]
[Ding! Do you wish to receive your mission now?]
"Yes!"
[Ding! Please choose the mission's difficulty.]
"The hardest." Kai replied with a confident smile.
[Ding! The hardest mission that has never been completed is chosen.]
Kai frowned when he heard it, thinking that no one had ever been able to complete it.
"I hope it's still doable. Otherwise, I'd be fucked."

The moment the time ticked at the last second, Kai found himself in the middle of a busy town.
The situation was chaotic as people were running left and right, doing their own duties.
Kai raised an eyebrow as he noticed there was a translucent panel data in front of him. He then checked the content and found out that it was his mission, but when he read further, his expression became blank.

"FUCK!" Kai cursed out loudly with all of his strength, attracting everyone's attention in the surrounding area.

At the same time when Kai stepped inside the game for the first time, a fat white tiger inside a luxurious and huge palace opened its eyes.
It then tilted its head to the left lazily as its eyes seemed to penetrate space and time.
A few moments later, it raised an eyebrow when it looked at the young man with white hair and golden eyes.
After looking at the young man for a few seconds, it suddenly woke up fully as it stood upright.
It then mumbled unclearly before showing a serious expression.
However, a second later it suddenly showed a helpless expression as it scratched its head. "It's been a while since I've used my strength, what do I need to do to tear the space accurately?"
Sigh!
"Let's leave it up to fate, then." The fat white tiger burst out with extremely terrifying strength, making the huge palace tremble as it slashed its paw and opened a spatial rift.
When the fat white tiger entered the spatial rift, an old man who was sitting in a lotus position in a pavilion set in the middle of a tranquil lake opened his eyes.
As he tilted his head slightly to the left, he mumbled softly and created a halo in his left hand. "Oh, there's such a beast like him this time around?"
He continued with a bitter smile, "I guess I've slept for so long that there might be many interesting things that I've missed. I should go out and see those old geezers to see if they're still alive or not first."
After he said that, he stood and waved his hand casually, creating a spatial rift before looking at his surroundings for a few seconds and stepping inside it.
