Chapter 175: Chapter 175 Half-Man, Half-Pig

A rugged off-road vehicle sped like a wild horse on the desolate highway.
Zhou Xiaoliang drove while Xiao Jian sat in the copilot’s seat giving commands. Sitting in the back were Han Yi and Han Jiaojiao, heading toward the North Suburban Farm.
The closer they got to the farm, the more barren and desolate the scenery along the highway became. If it hadn’t been for the many mutant beasts near the farm, this place wouldn’t have been a bad spot to live in; after all, it was sparsely populated, and the Alien Species were relatively few.
After driving for a while, they were met with vast uninterrupted flat fields in front of them, but there were no crops—these must have been harvested by the military base’s army long ago.
Han Yi’s lips curled into a strange smile and he said, "This is somewhat interesting."
Han Jiaojiao looked at him, puzzled, "Brother, what is somewhat interesting?"
"This farm has clearly been visited multiple times, indicating that in the past, that mutant pig wasn’t here."
"Exactly." Xiao Jian nodded, "The farm isn’t far from the base, the base definitely must have sent troops to sweep through it numerous times, and many people have come here for missions. The mutant pig must have appeared only recently."
Han Yi looked ahead to the rapidly approaching farm entrance and slowly said, "Nothing appears without a reason."
They soon arrived at a muddy pit.
This should have been a vegetable garden, one side of which had been dug up to form a semi-circular mud pit.
When they arrived, the mutant pig wasn’t sleeping. It was grunting and rolling in the mud, continuously throwing mud on its body—that was an excessively obese body. When it flipped over onto its back, it exposed its twelve sagging breasts, swaying with its movements.
Its head, neck, and shoulders bore a human-like appearance, with sparse brown hair, thick lips protruding forward, and eyes squished into thin slits by the facial fat. Though its arms were short and fat, the fingers retained human form, with extremely long nails, just as Cheng Cheng had described, like a pangolin. As for the lower part of the body submerged in the mud, it was somewhat indistinct, but the overall outline resembled a pig’s lower body.
The mutant pig had already seen Han Yi and the others, but it showed no reaction, lazily sitting in the mud pit, occasionally rolling around, with no apparent intention of attacking them.
"This guy is very lazy. If the prey is too far from it, it won’t attack," Xiao Jian cautiously lifted the sniper rifle and said, "Moving in the mud is inconvenient. We can snipe it from a distance, directly shooting its head."
Han Yi asked, "What’s its speed like?"
"It can’t stand up, so its movement speed is very low, but by rolling or sliding in the mud, it can make very agile reaction movements."
Han Jiaojiao turned her head away with difficulty.
"What’s wrong?" Han Yi looked at her with concern.
Han Jiaojiao pressed her lips together and shook her head. She just felt a bit nauseous...
She had seen mutant beasts with ugly appearances and ferocious Alien Species without ever feeling disgusted, but the mutant with a human face and a pig’s body right before her eyes made her feel extremely nauseous... perhaps, it was because it had a human face.
At this moment, the mutant pig seemed to realize that the gun in Xiao Jian’s hands posed a threat to it. It sat in the mud pit and opened its mouth to let out a threatening roar, sounding just like the unpleasant screams of a slaughtered pig— "Aow aow aow aow!"
Han Jiaojiao half-knelt with one knee, her hands pressing against the ground and activating her Ability. The moisture in the mud pit began to dissipate at a visibly fast rate!
At the same time, Xiao Jian and Zhou Xiaoliang had already begun shooting.
The mutant pig, enraged, let out a piercing squeal and lunged into the mud, its flabby body trembling, mud splashing everywhere! Amidst the hail of bullets, it pushed hard with its hind legs, attempting to slide toward Xiao Jian and the others by taking advantage of the muddy pit. However, the water in the mud pit was rapidly depleting, reducing water content and thickening the mud. After sliding a short distance, the mutant pig finally got trapped by the dried mud.
When Han Jiaojiao drained the last drop of water from the mud pit, the lower half of the mutant pig’s body was completely trapped in the dried, clumpy mud and immobilized. Then, defenseless, its head was penetrated by Xiao Jian’s wild shooting!
What was horrifying was that even with most of its brain gone, it still managed to emit that piercing screech, the sound coming directly from its throat, mixed with a gushing "whoosh" of blood.
Xiao Jian and Zhou Xiaoliang aimed their guns at its body and fired another volley, bullets exploding inside it. Half of the head, now blasted away, hung askew from its neck, its breasts shattered, yet it still didn’t die! Moreover, there was hardly any blood flowing from the wounds!
The raspy squealing stopped, but the obese body kept floundering in the dried mud, like a fat fish riddled with holes in its death throes.
Han Yi raised his hand, signaling Xiao Jian and Zhou Xiaoliang to cease fire.
Han Yi looked at Han Jiaojiao beside him and asked, "Can you drain its blood?" He knew Han Jiaojiao had practiced this.
Han Jiaojiao nodded, replying, "I need to get closer to do it."
The water in the mud pit had been drained completely, and it would take some time for the water from the canal to flow back. So, moving around the mud pit now posed no problem, unlike last time with Yan Xiao, where they were stuck in the mud.
Xiao Jian and Zhou Xiaoliang stepped forward with their guns, finding the ground solid enough, then stood guard on each side of Han Yi and Han Jiaojiao as they slowly approached the mutant pig.
When they were about six or seven meters from the mutant pig, Han Jiaojiao felt it was close enough and stopped.
The truth was she didn’t want to move any closer. The nearer she got, the clearer that grotesque body appeared, especially the human torso with twelve sets of pig’s breasts, which she found unbearable to behold.
Han Jiaojiao extended a hand toward the mutant pig.—Its plump body shook violently, the half-head hanging from its neck swinging like a sack, and flakes of fat and a mix of red and white brain matter splattered in a fan shape during the shaking—
The struggle gradually weakened, eventually becoming a soft pile of flesh.
The faces of Xiao Jian and Zhou Xiaoliang paled slightly, and even the usually stoic Han Yi slightly frowned.
The reason was none other than the murky yellow fluid continuously oozing out from the corpse under the effect of Han Jiaojiao’s Ability, soaking the nearby earth and emitting a foul smell.
Han Jiaojiao was also repulsed. Normally, she could drain a corpse completely, but this time, after only draining a small portion and seeing that the mutant pig was indeed dead, she didn’t want to continue, as it was too disgusting!
"It’s fat." Han Jiaojiao said, covering her nose.
The pig’s body hardly had any blood at all, just sticky fat!
Han Jiaojiao tugged Han Yi’s arm, pulling him back. She didn’t want to stay a second longer.
"What in the world is this thing?" Zhou Xiaoliang exclaimed, covering his nose, "It wouldn’t die even when its head was blown off."
"Look around for any clues," Han Yi said as the spiritual power poured out from his body, rippling systematically like waves.
He quickly noticed something eerie about the farm, his deep black eyes slightly narrowing as he stared into the distance, "Let’s head to the warehouse."
