Chapter 576: Chapter Five Hundred and Seventy-Six: Rescue
The armored vehicle rammed through group after group of zombies as Lu Hao floored the accelerator, racing towards the right-hand ramp that Qiqi had directed him to.
Fortunately, there weren’t many zombies on the ramp, and Wei Junhao and the others’ vehicle followed closely behind, making it up the slope.
"Young Master Han, their vehicle has disappeared!"
Fan Decai, drenched in sweat, shouted.
"Drive about 500 meters ahead, then turn right and go downhill,"
With his Mental Element Ability, Han Yue could naturally sense the whereabouts of the two vehicles. Did the Heart Talk Team not even need walkie-talkies to communicate with them anymore?
The ramp was overgrown with various unknown plants, and the further in they went, the harder it was to drive. Lu Hao simply released his Special Ability Fire and burned a path straight through.
"Is there a tower ahead?"
Su Jin saw a tall spire in the distance and an idea dawned on her. She turned to Qiqi and asked, "Are there any zombies around and inside that tower?"
The others followed the direction Su Jin was pointing and saw the tall, pointed tower. Lu Guanhai thought it looked like a lighthouse, but then again, not quite.
"There are some around it, but no zombies inside,"
Qiqi replied.
"If there are too many zombies chasing us on the riverbank and it becomes impassable, we’ll take them into the tower first,"
Su Jin said.
"Okay,"
Lu Hao continued driving forward, kicking up a cloud of dust on the charred downhill road due to the high speed.
Finally, the dirty armored vehicle, unrecognizable now, burst through to the bright and open front, followed by the second vehicle driven by Luo Hongyi.
It was indeed a riverbank.
This area must have been a tourist sight before the Apocalypse, and the tower ahead wasn’t a lighthouse but looked more like a tall tower from a temple.
By now, many zombies had rolled down from the road above. Some lost an arm or a leg during the fall but still crawled tenaciously towards the direction of the vehicles...
Within less than two minutes, a massive horde of zombies gathered on the sparsely populated riverbank, and they ran frantically forward.
The concrete surface of the riverbank, affected by melting ice and snow and the slippage of dirt from the slope, had turned into a thick layer of silt. The high chassis of the armored vehicle handled it well, but Wei Junhao and the others would get stuck in the mud from time to time, greatly reducing their speed.

"Wei Junhao, I am going to release a Man-eating Flower soon. You guys must find a way to climb up, and we will hide in the tower up ahead,"
Su Jin grabbed the walkie-talkie, spoke while opening the car window, and summoned a Man-eating Flower.
Zheng Shu and the others, upon hearing about the Man-eating Flower, clearly did not understand what it meant, but Wei Junhao and Bai Ying did.
Su Jin was going to save them!
"Okay Su Jin, we will do as you command,"
Wei Junhao smiled, for now, they surely had hope of being saved.
"What is that?!"
Luo Hongyi couldn’t help but widen his eyes and ask, as a large Mutated Plant approached them?
"It’s a mutated plant controlled by Su Jin’s Wood element ability. In a moment, we need to find a way to shake off the zombies outside and climb up. Lele, uncle will carry you onto that friendly plant, remember to hold on to me tight, okay?"
Wei Junhao quickly made arrangements with everyone; the Man-eating Flower was already very close.
Bang Bang Bang!
A group of zombies surrounded the car, desperately pounding on the doors, and some climbed onto the roof, using various special abilities to hit the vehicle. Because of the weight of the zombies on top, the car couldn’t move at all now.
Fortunately, the Man-eating Flower with tentacles had moved next to the car and slowly put down a leaf. The Man-eating Flower seemed to think that the leaf wasn’t large enough and made an effort to grow another one, then joined it to the first.

"It’s still Su Jin controlling it; stop the chatter and get ready,"
Bai Ying said anxiously.

When everyone looked up again, they saw the Man-eating Flower straighten up with a dozen zombies from the roof stuffed in its bloom. The zombies’ legs were visible as they struggled desperately, but the bloom continued to shove them inwards, leaving Luo Hongyi and the others stunned.
"Don’t freeze, this Man-eating Flower loves to eat zombies, take the chance, hurry up!"
Wei Junhao put Mu Yunle on his back, and only after Mu Yunle tightly wrapped his arms around him did Wei Junhao nod in satisfaction, impressed with his will to survive.
Zheng Shu kicked the car door open with force, separating a zombie to the other side of the door, and without wasting words, Wei Junhao directly jumped onto the leaf of the Man-eating Flower.

By now, Su Jin and her group, along with Wei Junhao’s people, had reached the base of the tall tower and were temporarily safe, but almost all the zombies on the riverbank had pounced towards Han Yue’s car.
Su Jin shook her head and once again produced a Man-eating Flower.
It wouldn’t matter much if Han Yue died, but a mission failure would greatly damage the reputation of their Heart Talk Team, and there were more people than just Han Yue in that car, Wang Liang was also inside.
"I’ll go up,"
Lu Hao jumped onto one of the Man-eating Flowers. There were simply too many zombies on top of that car, not to mention letting the people inside come out; they probably couldn’t even open the door a crack.
Su Jin nodded and controlled another Man-eating Flower, the one that had saved Wei Junhao and his group, to move one after the other towards the front.
"It’s amazing, Wood element ability,"
Zhu Chang couldn’t help but exclaim, having seen Su Jin produce such a gigantic mutated plant and seemingly doing so without expending much effort.
"Boss, if I may ask, what level of Wood element ability do you need to achieve this?"
Zheng Shu asked, thinking maybe he should cozy up to the Wood element ability users in City B. If he had this skill, it would be super safe!
"Me? Level Seven."
"Ahem, sorry to disturb you, boss,"
Zheng Shu turned ashen. Level Seven...
