Chapter 580: Chapter 580: Minor Zombie Tide
"It’s on the eighth floor,"
Xu Mingliang immediately agreed, not wanting to see Han Yue’s face again, for he feared he might not be able to resist beating him up once more.
"Xu Mingliang, if we manage to survive and return to B City base, you’d better be careful,"
once they reached the eighth floor, Wei Junhao said to Xu Mingliang.
"What, does he still want to kill, to kill me?"
Xu Mingliang seemed skeptical.
"I’m not sure about killing you, but people who crossed them in the past all disappeared in the end,"
Wei Junhao whispered behind Xu Mingliang’s shoulder.
He was not trying to scare Xu Mingliang; it was a fact. Recalling some rumors he had never believed before, Xu Mingliang now felt they made sense when combined with Wei Junhao’s words.
Rumors don’t come out of nowhere, and sometimes, those rumors are indeed the truth.
...
The zombies’ howling could still be heard on the eighth floor, but the sound had become more of a lullaby for Bai Ying and the others; they were simply too exhausted.
Xu Mingliang tossed and turned, unable to sleep. He finally got up, his eyes bloodshot, and walked towards the ninth floor, holding a brick he had apparently pried loose from somewhere.
"What are you doing?"
A familiar male voice came from a dark corner, but no figure could be seen.
Xu Mingliang remembered; this was Wang Liang, the Invisibility Ability User from Han Yue’s side.
"Hmph, don’t mess with me, or I’ll kill you too,"
Xu Mingliang warned.
"You can’t kill him,"
Wang Liang continued to look out the window, where one could see flames burning below.
"He’s just a normal person, and I can’t kill him?"
Xu Mingliang found this amusing. As long as these people didn’t get in his way, killing him would be a matter of minutes. It was better to deal with him now rather than wait to be killed later.
"He’s not,"
Wang Liang whispered.
"Not what? Stop wasting my time and get out of my way!"
What’s this Invisible Person’s deal? No big deal, he could fight him if necessary, all this hemming and hawing without getting to the point.
"He’s not a normal person, he’s a Special Ability User,"
Wang Liang’s words stunned Xu Mingliang. Han Yue was a Special Ability User? What Ability did he have?
A few minutes later, Xu Mingliang walked back to the eighth floor in a daze. He thought back on how he had always felt something odd about Han Yue, who could always point out the correct path. Was there really such an Ability?
But what about Wang Liang? What was his deal? And why did he tell him all this?
Could it be that he also had a grudge against Han Yue?
Xu Mingliang suddenly felt overwhelmed, but regardless, his feud with Han Yue had deepened!
Su Jin, Lu Hao, and Lu Guanhai took a rest on the third floor, and the reason they rested there was a compromising solution that Su Jin came up with.
Su Jin leaned against Li Xiuying next to her, munching on an apple and chatting away.
Lu Guanhai sat at the entrance of the third floor, keeping watch.
Although Mental Element Ability Users could sense the number of people within a certain range, they couldn’t see who those people were. Hence, Su Jin had Lu Hao enter the Space and pulled out Grandma Li Xiuying to replace him.
While Qiqi could distinguish between Special Ability Users and non-Users, according to their analysis, Han Yue could not. Just like in that deserted village, he hadn’t realized Mu Yunle was a Special Ability User.
"I knew you guys had to be in trouble, but I didn’t expect it to be this serious. How many zombies must be down there? I’m getting anxious just looking at them,"
Li Xiuying stood by the window for a while before hastily sitting back down; the moment she showed her face, the zombies’ cries grew even louder.
"Heh, it’s not much trouble. Those Man-eating Flowers can really eat; there will be a lot fewer of them by tomorrow morning,"
Su Jin said with a grin.
Li Xiuying was happy to be able to help the two children, and she found the situation quite novel.
However, half an hour later, Lu Hao came out full of energy. He had slept for several hours in the Space, and now it was Su Jin’s turn.
Su Jin didn’t waste any time and immediately flashed into the Space.
In the Space, besides Lin Yunguo, only Lin Tianhui and Lin Tianzhen were resting; it seemed Lin Xiuyuan and the others from F city had not entered the Space.
Lin Yunguo, seeing Su Jin come in, didn’t ask any questions and quickly urged her to rest.
In the span of an hour, both of them had gotten ample rest, while Lu Guanhai simply refused to go in.
"I naturally sleep very little, and I’ve been sleeping all the time in the car. I won’t go, won’t go; it’s enough as long as you two, who are the most tired, get some rest,"
Lu Guanhai said.
In the latter half of the night, Han Yue, who had been asleep, was woken by a raging howl of zombies. He suddenly opened his eyes and walked to the window.
He saw that amid the darkness of the night, below the tall tower, the riverbank was like a sprawling sea of fire, fiercely burning.
Through the blaze and the flashes of lightning, one could still see Lu Hao and Luo Hongyi on a Man-eating Flower, one attacking while the other defended, clearing large swathes of zombies on the riverbank.
It was the Mysterious Fire Fan!
So they brought the Mysterious Fire Fan with them?!
Han Yue’s eyes were filled with longing; he had once thought the Mysterious Fire Fan was left at the S city base.
On the riverbank, Luo Hongyi felt he had never killed zombies like this before, the flames released by Lu Hao, enhanced by his fan, burnt the zombies to ashes in large numbers...
"It’s so incredible, so incredible,"
Zheng Shu didn’t know how else to express his feelings. They had come over after waking up and were now witnessing such a miraculous scene.
"Be careful!"
Bai Ying exclaimed.
A Wind Element Zombie suddenly took flight and lunged towards Lu Hao!

Luo Hongyi reacted swiftly, a bolt of thunder struck the Wind Element Zombie, and a tangible stream of electricity in Luo Hongyi’s hand yanked the zombie away and slammed it hard onto the ground.
A flame ignited on the ground, and in the next instant, it turned into a raging fire that cleansed the area and burned all the zombies within it clean.
Exhilarating!
Luo Hongyi felt as if a raging fire had been lit within his heart too; he had never killed zombies with such gusto. On their way to S city, whenever they encountered zombies, they would always flee if they could; avoiding combat whenever possible.
But the Heart Talk Team seemed to focus on clearing them out.
Until the sky began to brighten slightly, the original hundreds of thousands of zombies had been reduced to around fifty thousand, and this was just the result of less than ten people fighting throughout the night!
"Go rest for a bit,"
Lu Hao said to Luo Hongyi, who seemed to be reaching his limit.
"Okay,"
Luo Hongyi answered, gasping for breath. He was a Level Five Thunder Element, and his special ability was nearly depleted now.
Su Jin and Mao Qiqi had already started heating up breakfast on a space on the second floor. The few who had fought all night were ravenous, and as soon as they smelled the aroma, they couldn’t help but gather around.
"Let me help,"
Bai Ying quickly joined in, efficiently filling the steamer with water.
