When Bai Xiao finished work, An Zhiyuan came to pick her up in a car, a privilege of his rank as Chief.
Though it was just an ordinary jeep, it was enough to make two people happy.
Seeing An Zhiyuan, Bai Xiao immediately forgot all about restraint and raced over, throwing herself in front of him. An Zhiyuan caught her, avoiding getting too close!
After all, they were in public.
"Stand firm! Do you still look like a doctor in that state?"

An Zhiyuan smiled faintly and playfully scraped her nose, "Who just accused me of being unromantic? I’m just showing you what being romantic is all about."
He was here waiting for her.
Bai Xiao’s eyes crinkled into a smile as she lightly poked Colonel An’s chest muscles with her finger, "Big Brother An, you’re learning some bad habits!" Her flirtatious manner made his heart skip a beat.
An Zhiyuan wished he could just pounce on her right then and there. This girl was definitely provoking him on purpose, knowing full well he had no defense against her, "Just wait until we get home, I’ll show you!" he growled through clenched teeth.
Thinking about the 72 punishments he had planned for her at home, each one meant to torment her until she begged for mercy, Big Brother An suddenly felt his anger dissipating.
The car had just started when suddenly, he hit the brakes.
Bai Xiao was smugly looking at An Zhiyuan’s profile, getting ready to put him in his place. She thought, let’s see who’s going to put whom in their place today!
Caught up in her smug thoughts, the car’s abrupt stop nearly sent her flying. Fortunately, An Zhiyuan quickly wrapped his arms around Bai Xiao, sparing her from an intimate encounter with the windshield.

"Are you okay?" An Zhiyuan checked her limbs. Bai Xiao shook her head, "I’m fine, you’ve got your arms around me, how could anything happen?"
"Next time, be honest and buckle up!"
The girl had bewitched him with her charm, sometimes causing his reason to go offline.
Bai Xiao pouted, missing the real point. It was the person outside causing trouble that mattered.
Someone was knocking on the car door hard.
An Zhiyuan opened the door.
A barrage of foreign words spilled out.
"Doctor Bai, can we talk? I’ll only take a little bit of your time, let me treat you to a meal," the translator popped up from the side, looking flustered.
Are these foreigners not supposed to follow traffic rules? Is this what they call obeying traffic laws?
It was ridiculous.
Jumping right in front of someone’s car; was he trying to pull a scam or just reckless?
