Chapter 628: Chapter 628 Complaining
"Bai Xiao, how can you..." Yan Chunlu couldn’t believe it. Bai Xiao had not the slightest intention to comfort her; instead, she ripped open all her wounds.
"Comrade, you better take your daughter and leave quickly. You should have come to us from the beginning. Unrequited love is a sickness only she can cure; nobody else can do anything. You’ve seen it yourself, my big brother surely made it crystal clear to your daughter. If she continues to delude herself, it has nothing to do with our family. So, you can’t blame this on us," she said. She would not let Yu Shaohan pin any labels or cast aspersions on her big brother.
Her brother had always been an upright person in this life and the last, principled and not one of those glib, scheming sorts. A pampered miss like Yan Chunlu was certainly not someone her big brother could put up with.
Yu Shaohan was so frustrated she was itching to bite something. This was the first time she had encountered such a disrespectful and inconsiderate girl, truly irritating—just as hateful as her brother, really not likeable at all. No wonder their whole family had been exiled to such a remote place. Such people, unable to read the room, definitely couldn’t get far.
"Alright, I hope you keep to your word." She turned and pulled Yan Chunlu. "Let’s go! Why stay here and be the butt of their jokes? Haven’t you seen what kind of people they all are? Such ill-mannered, narrow-minded people. I’m surprised, what did you see in him? Hurry back home and save us the embarrassment."
Yan Chunlu was unwilling to leave. She truly liked Bai Song, but she had never anticipated this outcome.
She began to sob, making Bai Xiao roll her eyes. Now you cry—was it we who bullied you? Clearly, it was your family throwing their weight around.
"Farewell, we won’t see you out. We don’t need to bother you with whether we have manners or generosity." Bai Xiao gestured with her hand, urging them to leave quickly.
Yu Shaohan, with Yan Chunlu still in tow, stormed into Yu Shaohua’s office.
As soon as Yu Shaohua saw his sister and niece enter, he couldn’t hide the rage on his face.
He stood up and closed the office door.
His sister had always had a temper since she was young and sometimes would lose it regardless of the setting. It was just her husband who had put up with her for so many years; any other man would have probably wanted a divorce by now.
"What’s the matter? Why are you coming in here so angrily? Who has upset you now?" Yu Shaohua, of course, knew his sister had been bothered by his niece’s issue these past few days.
Yu Shaohan let go of Yan Chunlu abruptly. "Who else could it be, if not this good-for-nothing girl causing trouble?" she said, poking Yan Chunlu fiercely in the eyes.
Yan Chunlu quickly hid behind her uncle. "Uncle, mom is being too much. Always so impulsive, not caring about the consequences. She humiliated my friend right in front of me, causing them to misunderstand me too."
Yu Shaohan was nearly breathless with anger. It’s true what they say—’you can’t control your kids when they grow up.’
"You have the nerve to say that? What kind of friend is that? He’s even working as a doctor in your uncle’s hospital. Young as you look, you speak so rudely, definitely someone to be reckoned with. If you married into such a family, wouldn’t that be the end of you? Not to mention the awful things they’ve already thrown in your face. His brother has no interest in you whatsoever; what are you hanging on for, really?"
Yu Shaohua patted his sister’s shoulder. "The loudest in the room is not always the one who is right, don’t rush. If you have something to say, say it calmly. What’s the use of always yelling at the child?"
Yu Shaohan, still fuming, turned away and ignored Yan Chunlu.
