Chapter 660: Chapter 660: None of Your Business
Two people set off, and upon seeing their convoy, she understood that Shao Ming had brought at least a dozen people.
These individuals, by merely observing their physique and demeanor, revealed a cold ruthlessness, clearly suggesting that they were cold-blooded assassins, and the bulges at their waists indicated the presence of hidden weapons.
Bai Xiao spoke little.
Although she was unaware of the exact location of the so-called public market in Myanmar, the person by her side seemed to know everything.
"At the public market meeting, we cannot take action. Remember, the people at the public market meeting are not to be provoked, and any grievances must wait until the meeting is over. Once out of the public market area, it’s just like people’s brains turning into dog’s brains; nobody cares."
"Only the two of us will enter the meeting. I’ll have people stationed at the crossroads. The person you’re looking for, my men have already conducted a background check. If everything goes as planned, I should have the information by the time we reach Singapore. Do you want this person alive or dead?" Shao Ming was unsure what this young lady was really up to.
Bai Xiao shook her head, "I need them alive."
What does she need a dead person for? If she truly wanted someone dead, even at the public market, she would have Bai Mei silently taken care of, with no one able to trace how it happened.
However, Bai Mei probably wouldn’t easily meet with her now.
"What deep grudges does this person have with the doctor?" Shao Ming wondered.
Listening to the name, it seemed like they were family.
Was this an internal conflict?
A girl wanting to doom her own family members usually involved inheritance or love interests. Looking at this lady, she didn’t appear wealthy, so it must be for a man.
The things girls do for a man these days can be so vicious.
The morals of society are indeed declining.
What’s baffling is that the Jiang family was even willing to let him get involved in such matters. This was clearly a misuse of talent.
Still, his face showed disdain.
"Mind your own business!" Bai Xiao retorted fiercely, not taking him for a fool.
Shao Ming’s face was full of contempt; if it weren’t for Jiang Shaoqing, he probably wouldn’t bother with such trivial matters.
Since you’re just following orders, why care about what I do?
Shao Ming turned his head, swearing inwardly.
This young woman certainly didn’t have the attitude of someone needing help.
The cold and tough bodyguard in the driver’s seat had a gleam in his eyes and a smirk on his face; it wasn’t often someone made their boss look foolish.
The mountain roads were difficult to navigate.
It was only due to their excellent driving skills that they could speed along, wheels skimming the edge of the mountain road despite the chasm on one side.
Two hours later, after a bumpy ride through potholed roads, they finally saw a mine not far away.
The vehicle stopped.
Clearly, there were roadblocks ahead, meaning from this point, they would have to proceed on foot.
Shao Ming got out of the car, "After you, Doctor Bai."
Bai Xiao got out of the car.
So this was the public market, her first time seeing Myanmar’s famed jade mine. It looked just like a mountain of rocks, nothing special, but she had heard here that Myanmar’s three major mines nearly supplied all of Southeast Asia’s raw jade materials.
The two approached the roadblock and were stopped by armed soldiers in camouflage gear.
Suddenly, someone rushed over, humbly presenting a card; this time’s public market meeting was inaccessible without a guest invitation.
After checking the invitation, they were immediately allowed in.
