Chapter 896: 221: She died!_6

She thought, she shouldn’t make any more mistakes.

She couldn’t make any more mistakes.

Zheng Suyu stared at the greens in front of her as if she had made a secret decision.

After dinner, Ni Yang dragged her heavy feet upstairs.

After returning to her room, Zheng Suyu didn’t use the excuse of feeling unwell to seek out Ni Yang anymore.

Zheng Lingling had been observing Zheng Suyu all along, and seeing that there was no movement on Zheng Suyu’s side, she became anxious.

Seeing that Ni Yang was about to die, yet Zheng Suyu made no further moves, how could she not be anxious?

Zheng Lingling took a bowl of chicken soup from the kitchen and carried it to Zheng Suyu’s room.

"Aunt Suyu, I’ve brought you some chicken soup." Zheng Lingling knocked on the door.

Hearing Zheng Lingling’s voice, Zheng Suyu was startled, "I, I’m already asleep."

Zheng Lingling softly said, "Aunt Suyu, I know you haven’t slept yet. You didn’t eat much tonight, so I specifically brought you some chicken soup."

Zheng Suyu’s face turned pale. She walked over from inside and tremblingly opened the door for Zheng Lingling.

"Aunt Suyu, I’ll leave the chicken soup here."

Zheng Suyu stood there, her hands nervously crossed together.

"Aunt Suyu, why didn’t you go to see Ni Yang today?" Zheng Lingling turned her head to look at Zheng Suyu. "When you’re ill, you should see a doctor; did you forget about that today?"

"I, I..." Zheng Suyu’s eyes reddened as she looked up, "I can’t harm people, please, can’t we stop this?"

"Sure." Zheng Lingling grinned, "Since you’ve given up on that child now, don’t regret it later!"

The last four words made Zheng Suyu shudder all over!

What should she do?

What should she do now?

Zheng Lingling continued, "Aunt Suyu, it’s late, I’ll head back first. As for the rest, you’d better think it through."

For someone like Zheng Suyu, all talk was useless if it wasn’t to the point.

"I’ll go out with you." Zheng Suyu followed Zheng Lingling’s steps.

Zheng Lingling looked back at Zheng Suyu, feigning ignorance, "Aunt Suyu, why are you following me?"

Zheng Suyu said, "I’m feeling unwell and am going to see Miss Yangyang for treatment."

"That’s more like it." Zheng Lingling said, pleased, "Aunt Suyu, you are an educated and smart person, you should know that a wise man submits to circumstances."

The two left together. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝘱𝘶𝑏.𝘤𝘰𝑚

Zheng Lingling headed towards her own room, while Zheng Suyu walked towards Ni Yang’s room.

Ni Yang sat in front of the dressing mirror, with a reflection showing a pale face.

This face worried Ni Cuihua, let alone how fearful she felt looking at herself.

After a while, Ni Yang looked up at the clock again.

Something was off!

Very off!

Yesterday at this time, she had finished a cup of tea, but today Zheng Suyu hadn’t made a single move.

Just as Ni Yang was lost in her thoughts, there came a knocking at the door.

"Is Yangyang in the room?"

"Yes." Ni Yang replied weakly, walking over to open the door, "Auntie, you’re here."

Seeing Ni Yang’s increasingly pale face, Zheng Suyu suppressed the guilt rising within her and continued, "Yangyang, I’m still feeling a bit unwell today, could you take a look for me?"

"Sure." Ni Yang nodded, "Should we do it here in my room, or shall we go to your room?"

"Let’s go to my room." Zheng Suyu said.

"Alright." Ni Yang followed Zheng Suyu’s steps.

Ni Yang’s room was separated from Zheng Suyu’s room by a long corridor.

Zheng Suyu walked in front, "Yangyang, your complexion keeps getting worse, maybe you should see a doctor."

"It’s nothing." Ni Yang shook her head nonchalantly.

"What if it is something?" Zheng Suyu asked.

Ni Yang looked at Zheng Suyu, "Aunt Suyu, why do you sound so sure?"

Zheng Suyu, fearing Ni Yang might suspect something, quickly averted her gaze and poured Ni Yang a glass of water, "I was just saying, Yangyang, drink some water."

This time, Ni Yang drank the water without leaving a drop.

Zheng Suyu watched her and couldn’t describe her feelings.

Just three days ago, Ni Yang had confidently said she could help her.

But now,

Ni Yang couldn’t even differentiate poison from boiling water.

Sigh!

Zheng Suyu sighed deeply in her heart.

Ni Yang placed the empty glass on the table and looked at Zheng Suyu, "Aunt Suyu, don’t you really have anything to say to me?"

"No." Zheng Suyu shook her head, thought for a moment, and then added, "Yangyang, I know your medical skills are good, but ’a doctor doesn’t heal themselves.’ You should visit the hospital when you have time."

Ni Yang didn’t respond to her remark and stood up, "Aunt Suyu, you should rest early. I’m going back to my room."

The next morning, Ni Yang’s condition was worse than the previous two days.

She was barely holding on.

Grandfather Zheng and Grandmother Zheng were very worried and insisted on taking Ni Yang to the hospital.

But Ni Yang refused again.

With Ni Yang unwilling to go, the two elders didn’t have any other options and could only worry.

Zheng Lingling feigned concern, "That girl Yangyang really, being ill and still not going to the hospital. She looks so pale it hurts me to see it, Tingting, you should persuade Yangyang too."

Ni Cuihua was also very anxious, "Yangyang has always been decisive, if she doesn’t want to go to the hospital, there’s nothing I can do."

Zheng Lingling sighed, "A daughter doesn’t always follow her mother."

Ni Yang visited the Detective Agency.

After getting useful information, she returned to the Zheng Family house, closed her room door, and slept soundly.

After all, she was ill and needed to rest properly.

At dinner time, Ni Yang did not come downstairs. Ni Cuihua and Shangguan Dehui, worried something might happen to her, personally brought the food to Ni Yang’s bowl.

The couple stayed in Ni Yang’s room for a good while and when they finally came out, both had rather unpleasant expressions on their faces.

While some were grieving, Zheng Xianjing was overjoyed, "Mom, is Ni Yang about to die?"

"Yes!" Zheng Lingling nodded, "She probably won’t make it till tomorrow morning."

"Great!"

The next morning, Ni Yang didn’t come downstairs for breakfast.

Grandmother Zheng said, "Fusao, go call Yangyang down for breakfast."

"Alright."

After a while, a terrified scream came from upstairs, "Ah!"

Then they saw Fusao running downstairs in a panic, "No, no good! Madam, something terrible has happened!"

"What’s wrong, Fusao? Take your time and tell us."

Fusao’s eyes were wide open, clearly not yet recovered from the shock, "Yang... Miss Yangyang, she... she..."

Grandmother Zheng stood up anxiously, "What happened to her? Speak up!"

"She... she..." Fusao swallowed, her voice trembling, "She’s dead!"
