Chapter 428: Chapter 300 Quelling and Calm_3

Jiang Ning: "Take your time, there’s no rush."

The total was eleven yuan, and Jiang Ning paid it directly.

While waiting, Jiang Ning asked, "Are you guys from Guyang County?"

The woman who was baking pancakes replied with the story spilling out, "Yes, we used to work in Guyang County and just moved to the urban area at the beginning of the month."

"I am from Guyang County too. I’ve had this type of pancake before; it’s quite rare in the urban area," Jiang Ning said. 𝔫𝖔𝔳𝖕𝖚𝔟.𝔠𝔬𝖒

The shop owner was surprised and said, "Right, we came here to set up shop because there weren’t any like this in the city."

"How’s business now?" Jiang Ning asked.

The shop owner didn’t hide the truth, "We sell about three to four hundred a day."

Jiang Ning thought about the profit margin of the breakfast shop and the rent here; selling three to four hundred, the profit was probably only just over a hundred.

And there were two people busy in the shop; the business wasn’t that great.

The shop owner then said, "Inside is my daughter, she’s still in college."

The girl was cracking eggs and shyly said, "Not college, just a community college."

"Recently got sick, took a break from school, and came home to help my mom with the shop."

She was talking the whole time without pausing her work, her movements quite efficient.

The shop owner asked, "You’re still in school, right?"

Jiang Ning replied awkwardly, "Yes, I am a high school student."

After the small talk, the pancakes were done. The girl, seeing this, grabbed a large ladle, stirred the soup pot, and then scooped up a big spoonful of hot broth, pouring it into the rice container.

The boiling hot soup instantly cooked the eggs, with the egg flowers swirling around in the soup emitting a delicious aroma, making it look particularly appetizing.

"I’ll get you more!" the girl said as she scooped up soup with her ladle,

"Our soup is made from fresh chicken carcasses bought from the market."

She sprinkled some spices and picked up the bottle of sesame oil, adding a good amount to the soup, making it even more aromatic.

"Do you want cilantro?"

"Just a little," Jiang Ning said.

The girl said, "Next to the disinfection cabinet are some side dishes, shredded potatoes, and stir-fried green peppers with soybeans, all of which are great stuffed into a pancake."

Saying this, she led Jiang Ning over.

She had just lifted her foot to walk when suddenly, she clutched her heart, stopped her steps, and took a few difficult breaths. After a few seconds, she continued walking.

She took some bags and packed some shredded potatoes and green pepper soybeans for Jiang Ning.

The side dishes were free, and the girl was generous with the portions.

Jiang Ning held the rice container with his right hand and the wooden basket with his left.

The shop owner looked them over and said, "This basket is good; it won’t make the pancakes soggy."

Their family’s pancakes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside; if packed in a plastic bag, they would get soggy and the taste would change.

The girl said, "If it tastes good, come again next time!"

"Sure," Jiang Ning said.

Before leaving, he scanned the girl’s body with Divine Sense and found that her illness was serious and related to the heart.

He thought for a moment, drew out a strand of Spiritual Power, and silently infused it into the girl’s chest.

This Spiritual Power was not ordinary; it contained healing properties. Although it could not cure diseases, it could greatly alleviate the symptoms.

Helping others is a virtue, and Jiang Ning’s mood improved.

Divine Sense was overjoyed.

With a smile, Jiang Ning stepped into the alley; when he was alone, he summoned the Flying Boat and headed towards the river dam.

Twenty seconds later, Jiang Ning arrived at the bungalow.

Because he got there so quickly, the Array he had set up to keep breakfast warm was not even needed.

He knocked on Xue Yuantong’s room, "It’s time to wake up."

Xue Yuantong rolled over in her bed and continued to sleep.

Jiang Ning thought for a moment and drew out the aroma of the food, letting it drift through the crack of the door to Xue Yuantong’s bed,

"It’s time for breakfast."

Xue Yuantong immediately got up.

She walked over in slippers, still disoriented, and upon glimpsing the breakfast in Jiang Ning’s hand, she exclaimed excitedly,

"Did you buy breakfast?"

"Yes, you don’t have to cook today."

Xue Yuantong quickly said, "Wait for me to wash up and brush my teeth before eating!"

Jiang Ning set the breakfast on the kitchen table and took out another bowl, serving a small portion of soup.

After washing up, Xue Yuantong joined Jiang Ning at the table.

She first tasted the soup, surprisingly fresh.

Then she bit into the pancake—super delicious!

Jiang Ning reminded, "There’s shredded potatoes and green pepper soybeans. Try some of that; it tastes even better."

Xue Yuantong did as suggested, and the crispy yet soft pancake mixed with the side dishes took the flavor to the next level!

Usually cooking a lot, occasionally having an outside breakfast like this really felt like a delightful surprise.

Xue Yuantong expressed, "Jiang Ning, you did great today; I’ll reward you!"

"How will you reward me?" He wasn’t sure what Xue Yuantong was thinking.

Xue Yuantong replied, "You’ll find out tonight."
