Chapter 601: Chapter 381: Ship Ahead of Schedule

At 9:30 in the morning, Jiang Ning was home alone.

Xue Yuantong originally did not want to go to the urban area but wanted to stay home and play with Jiang Ning when Aunt Gu claimed she was going to the supermarket. Thinking of the supermarket filled with snacks, Xue Yuantong couldn’t resist the temptation.

She abandoned Jiang Ning and set off on her mother’s electric scooter.

Jiang Ning read for a while before leaving the bedroom as the weather was still hot.

He walked to the hall and with a backward gesture stored his mountain bike in his Storage Ring. He activated his Spirit Boat, switched on the Concealment Array, and flew toward Hu Qi Mountain.

In the spirit field at the northwest corner, sunlight pierced through the misty sky, forming a faint rainbow glow.

The small vegetable garden was filled with a variety of fruits and vegetables: peach trees, melon fields, tomatoes, pumpkins, eggplants, green beans, and chili peppers. Some stood tall on branches, others sprawled on the ground, their colors interwoven yet orderly.

Jiang Ning stood by the newly dug irrigation channel and flicked his fingers, causing three round tomatoes to fall.

With a gentle hook of his hand, the tomatoes flew over to him.

These three tomatoes were fully ripe, like the noontime sun, vibrant red in color and emitting a tempting fragrance, clearly of excellent quality.

They were tomatoes nourished in a Spiritual Energy field, leading in appearance, taste, and nutrition—surpassing the pinnacle of natural supplements in this world.

Jiang Ning casually took out a black plastic bag, placed them inside, and took the bag aboard the Spirit Boat.

He steered the Spirit Boat, heading toward the urban area.

All along the way, Jiang Ning, from his high vantage point, overlooked the entire urban area.

Because of the holiday, there were more people in the urban area than usual. On the bridge spanning the river, a long line of traffic was jammed together, with horns blaring continuously.

Within the traffic, in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousine, seated comfortably in the spacious back seat, Qi Tianheng put down his tablet with an impatient expression:

"What’s going on?"

The cautious driver at the front replied, "There’s a traffic jam."

This made Qi Tianheng even more disgruntled. This lousy city always had traffic jams during holidays.

He reached into the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of ice-cold cola, twisted off the cap, and took a long swig, finally feeling a bit more refreshed.

Thinking about the big meal he was going to have in Nan City at noon slightly lifted his spirits.

Jiang Ning’s Divine Sense captured everything below him. With a light tap of his foot, the Spirit Boat accelerated once more, instantly soaring over the bridge.

In less than a minute, Jiang Ning arrived near his uncle’s neighborhood. He found a secluded alley to land, then rode his bicycle toward his uncle’s home.

The tomatoes he brought were intended as a gift for his uncle’s family. In fact, he had previously considered giving some Elixir Pills but then decided against it. These fruits were a perfect replacement.

His uncle’s family had treated him well. The mountain bike he was currently riding had been a gift from his cousin, Jiang Junlong, offering him significant help.

After entering the neighborhood, Shen Qing’e was waiting for him downstairs.

Jiang Ning swept his Divine Sense over her. In the recent visits to his uncle’s home, it had always been her welcoming him with the elevator card.

Shen Qing’e was wearing a pair of white sandals matched with a white dress, fresh and pleasant, perfectly suiting the summer ambiance.

Compared to last year, Shen Qing’e’s skin had become much fairer, probably due to improved nutrition.

"Let’s go," said Jiang Ning.

But in Shen Qing’e’s eyes, Jiang Ning didn’t even glance at her, and she felt ignored. She had spent a long time picking out these clothes online before deciding to place the order.

She hadn’t expected...

The way up was silent.

Upstairs, as in the past, his aunt greeted him at the door, followed by the loud voice of his uncle, Jiang Qitian: "Ningning is here!"

The situation in the room came into Jiang Ning’s view: there was a strange middle-aged man and a girl with quite the princess temperament.

"Uncle, you’re not doing business today?" he inquired, as it was a holiday and there should be a good amount of customer traffic. If they were closed, they were probably missing out on a few thousand in earnings for the day.

Jiang Qitian replied, "Your cousin is busy at the store, so I’m taking a day off."

He had his own reasons for doing so—his eldest son wasn’t good with studies and had dropped out of high school. If he went out to find a job, he’d likely end up doing heavy labor.

It was better to teach him the business, human relations, and the ways to run a restaurant, build his own connections, and when the time came, help him choose a good location and give him the funds to open his own restaurant.

After greeting everyone, Jiang Ning brought forward the black plastic bag in his hand, "I brought a few tomatoes, Uncle, you should try them."

Jiang Qitian’s slight hope deflated instantly when he heard this. Initially, seeing his nephew with a bag, he had subconsciously thought it was a big watermelon, though the size of the bag seemed off.

Now, realizing it wasn’t a big watermelon, Jiang Qitian still took it in stride with a hearty laugh: "You’re here already, why bring anything?"

"Don’t bring anything next time."

Jiang Junlong, sitting by the sofa, perked up at the mention of tomatoes, leaped over and grabbed the bag first, eyeing it with nearly ecstatic joy: 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓅𝓊𝓫.𝒸ℴ𝓶

"Brother Ning, are these the tomatoes from our last meal at your place?"

He was craving the flavor of the tomato fish slices he had missed dearly, to the point of being unable to sleep at night.

Because of this, he even persuaded his mom to make it, but the taste wasn’t even close.

Hearing his query, Jiang Ning replied, "Yeah, they’re the same tomatoes we used for the fish last time."

Shen Qing’e’s eyes lit up at the side, filled with anticipation. She couldn’t resist the flavor of delicious food, but because she was in a quarrel with Jiang Ning and they were in a cold war, she obviously wouldn’t show it. However, her desire was equally strong.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Junlong immediately exclaimed, "Holy shit, that’s freaking awesome!"

Their aunt threw a shadowy glance at him, and Jiang Junlong laughed awkwardly, as swearing at home typically got him reprimanded.

At first, his uncle didn’t think much of it, but when he picked up a tomato, he immediately caught a whiff of a refreshing fragrance, and his expression turned serious:

"These tomatoes are extraordinary!"
