Chapter 1098: Chapter 958 Doubling the Upgrade

Tang Kai and Wangsa flew from Bangkok to Naypyidaw together. Although it is the capital, due to Naypyidaw’s low profile, there are only three flights a day to this destination, which is one-fifth of those to the former capital Yangon.

"I don’t see it that way. This isn’t the Myanmar Economic Zone—there are many interest groups here, and Ling can’t take care of us like before. I’d be content just to maintain the status quo," Tang Kai said with a smile.
"Plus, haven’t you realized that this money is deliberately scattered by Ling to consolidate his position? These interests are prepared for distribution. Ling probably doesn’t want us digging into this."
He had spoken with Tang Qing on the phone last night and learned some ’inside information.’ Indeed, this grand opportunity was not meant for them but was intended to stabilize the situation and win hearts.

But it was not generally open to the public.
Only available to VIPs or Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce members, the hotel never aimed to make money but to simply sustain operations.

It was the same one as before, with no new allocation. There was a small conference room inside, big enough to accommodate about twenty members of the Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce. Indeed, the Chamber of Commerce was still of the same scale.

The rest were managers and secretaries of sorts.
Apart from the official members of the Chamber, Su Yu was also there; his wife was in Xin’an Town. Su Yu had just finished a meeting locally, so he decided to join in personally as he was in charge of his own business anyhow.

Chamber of Commerce members had long become familiar with one another.
They had always followed the Chamber’s mutual assistance code, maintaining good relations, so their conversations were lively. The main topic was still Ling’s big move from the day before, having offered so much "meat." With this meeting, they wondered what Ling intended to do.
"Thank you for waiting."
As they were chatting, a familiar voice rang out from the doorway, and everyone hurriedly stood up. At the door, Ling quickly walked in, slightly different from before, this time they all felt an extremely noticeable restraint.

Ling temporarily took over Lang Cai’s position, which allowed him to serve concurrently as Governor of the Myanmar Economic Zone, but that was, after all, a government organization. The Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce, as a business organization, was no longer suitable for Ling’s role.
"On my last day as President, I am very grateful for everyone’s consistent support to the Chamber and to the Myanmar Economic Zone. Through our joint efforts and mutual support, we can say we have achieved a win-win situation."

"The Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce, in my vision, will become an economic organization with strong economic power, strong cohesion, and strong influence. At present, the Chamber is still too immature."
"I have decided to expand the number of members of the Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce. Effective immediately, we will start absorbing quality businesses from within the Myanmar Economic Zone and from external suppliers and sales companies that provide raw materials."
"All of you present are the first batch of Chamber members, and naturally, your benefits cannot be the same as theirs. On top of what you currently have, your loan limits will be doubled. They will only receive the benefits you have now."
"To ensure the quality of Chamber members, this round of member absorption will be independently reviewed and invitations will be issued by the Myanmar Bank Group. We do not accept recommendations, and the total number is limited to sixty people to be completed within one month."
"Adhering to the principles of the Chamber, we will be extremely cautious in the absorption of members to prevent low-quality members from joining."

Expansion of Chamber members.
